Lifelong as long its pores are not get clogged by detritus
Have been using this product for last 1.5 year in my saltwater tank sump
No issue ..
Also no cleaning
Make sure that the product or an other bio media don't get clog specially if u are using this in top filter canister filter hang on back filter
More chance of clogging ..so clean it monthly with aquarium water
As I have sump i use filter socks first also the media is kept vertically within the mess bag also I dose bacteria for aquarium waste cleaning and hydrogen peroxide for aquarium waste cleaning ..and probiotic salt i don't really need of frequent cleaning ..
