Works perfectly. But I do have one advice for anyone that wants to build it, turn off hostile mob sounds. The blaze sounds will drive you crazy when they keep pushing you around even with fire res LOL.

A lil tip that I found out you can crouch and walk on top of the chest ti get a better reach and the swing effect of the sword works better.
Just make sure to stand back on the edge of the chest, otherwise the blazes can target you / you get hit by their thorn-effect.

If you want a woden look, use Crimson or Warped. Unless you plan on rebuilding your farm every few minutes.

@@theofficial_cz5067my strategy was to make a bunch of stone pickaxes & bring about a stack of netherite- I’d go without any armor or anything and build till I died then repeat. Just so I wasn’t stressing about losing my shit lmao

Thanks! Built this for blaze rods to use in my super smelter! If you're struggling, I suggest building this backwards, as blazes won't spawn in the killing chamber or the lava chamber!
Also, the killing chamber is low enough that blazes will continue to spawn. This is great for AFKing for a few mins to let the blazes pile up!

You can put fences over the chest and then slabs to get up so the blazes don’t hit you

A little tip: you can use iron bars on top of the chest to prevent blazes from close combat

Also funny enough, I got two stacks of blaze rod from the process of the building alone since there is no working way for me to disable the spawner, literally took 5 hours because I need to kill em while they spawn as well lol definitely worth it though
tyy this still works in 1.20 :3 it was a little easier because my spawner was in the netherack so i didn’t have to build a box. other than that this works perfectly fine..

Just built this in 1.20.6 Java edition, and it does work! albeit its not super fast or mind blowing, it works well for how simple it was to build.
I hate to admit I switched my game mode to peaceful to make this farm, I tried like hell not to, but even in just the beginning stages of the build I was surrounded with like 15 blazes at a time making this all but impossible to build, even with fire res. potions. If you want to make your life easier instead of fighting an uphill battle, switch to peaceful.
Took some time to clear it all out but it works well enough for what I needed, looting 3 is an absolute must though. Great farm to just chill at while doing other stuff in the background. Would recommend!

Hey great tutorial but do you have tips on how to stop the blazes from spawning while building the farm?
Building a 9x9 platform as the spawner in the middle and putting torches on every block might help I guess
Switch to Peaceful while you're building, then switch back to Easy or whatever after you're done building...

Back in ma day you used to have to use piston pushers to funnel them to a single point in the middle, then we would use a piston crusher to get them to one hit. RIP crushers

I tried it on Xbox but the blaze go to the edge of lava but don’t fall in 😢 I changed it to trapdoors it works now thanks for the video ❤
PSA you can disable the spawner with glowstone. Or jackolanterns on bedrock. Just look it up on the wiki

started building this on a nether fortress blaze spawner with it above lava lets just say trying to hurry up and place floor blocks before im either shot or knocked into lava by a blaze is so sad 😭

Lava did not spread that far ( 3 blocks wide ) doesn't work for java 1.20.1 ?
EDIT: Ok i went down in the nether and built this and the lava spread correctly. It seems lava travels further and faster in the nether compared to the overworld for some reason.

If you doing it in the overworld it won't work bu also even if you misplace or is 1 block off the lava spread won't work

the lava wont make 2 blocks and makes 1 instead if you dont under stand i mean the lava pouring it wont make 2 but make 1 and when i put all lava buckets it makes a diamond
You need to have the two side next to each other 5 blocks away from spawner, than other two sides next to each other 4. This is why you're having your issue.
@@Kougaku no mine is messed up too, its 5-spawner-4 wide but the lava doesn't reach far enough into the middle
@@triggerwarned 5 wide on one side, then 4 across on the opposite side. Then 4 above, then 5 below. Trust me you're doing it wrong lol.
@@Kougaku trust me I can count 🙄 4+5+1=10 blocks wide. In the middle a 2x2 hole. The lava should reach 4 blocks to the edge of the hole like shown in this video BUT IT DOES NOT

you can use any block
Tip for building this, to temporarily disable blazes from spawning use a light source that emits a light level or 15 or more such as campfires, glowstone, or shroom lights. The wiki (don't use fandom) provides a whole list if you want to use other blocks

I was doing it on hardcore survival, and I wasn't even going to build the farm yet - just setting up the area, blocking out so that other mobs won't interfere or accidentally push me out ( spoiler: still got pushed down and had to swim my way up in lava- thank god for fire resist IV 😂and land nearby)
Did this on my world thats locked to normal with full maxed out netherite gear and 2, 8 minute fire res potions, nearly died like 10 times, i swear near the end i had to dig my way around the farm to place the lava cus there were like 30 blazes in the room 💀, if you're gonna do this, either dont lock your world difficulty or bring a whole shulkerbox worth of fire res

Why bother using slabs? does it really interfere that much? Why not just throw torches on the top? Mainly ask because its just easier to use full blocks on MCPE.
Not sure about HC, but in Survival you can go into options and change it to peaceful. So much less stress when building farms and finding things. Once you're done, change it back to easy/norm/hard to test your farm out. While building this farm, take the time to build a whither skeleton farm around the Blaze farm. Make yourself a mini-HQ with glass and a few iron trapdoors you open and close with a lever for bow hunting. I know it's cheesy, but after you kill a mob, go to peaceful, collect everything, get back in your cage and turn up the heat again. You can get fancy, use trapdoors around your HQ to combine all your different mobs into the same place your Blazes end up.

I had a nether fortress in netherack so all I had to do was take away all the netherack but it worked as promised.

I missed this bit since his accent is a little hard for me to understand, so I was watching the number of blocks he was placing, but there's a jump cut with that last side that he measures out, so I thought he only placed 4 blocks there instead, lol. I was just fundamentally counting the wrong number since I missed the information.

If you put the torch around the spawner, will it prevent the blaze to spawn?
you need to use glow stone and alot of it to stop them spawning. i think they spawn in light level 11 or lower.

Doesn’t work for me, lava spreads much further, covering entire floor. Java edition 1.20.1
You've got your room measurements wrong then. Lava spreads the same number of blocks for everyone, so it's obviously a user error. Go back and recount out from your spawner.

0:20 you don't need potions, you can light the spawner

If you're referring to putting torches all over the spawner, it doesn't work
To fully disable a blaze spawner you need to light up the *entire volume* so that *no single air block* is at a light level lower than 11. So you'd have to build an entire grid of light-emitting blocks (or, ironically, end rods). At that point you might as well just fill the volume with netherrack during construction.
