Thank you very much for the video it really helps a lot!!! May I ask is the study there really intense? Like getting class all day for whole week with lots of assignments? Thank you very much!
I'm glad the video could help you, Josie. I would say the study really depends on what your home university requires from you in terms of credit points. I don't have that many classes and even have Wednesdays off. Generally, there are a lot of assignments, but it's not difficult to pass. ;)
just bought Minna no Nihongo. It is a great textbook and I like it more than Genki. Any studytips for this textbook and do you known a good kanji book? Thanks..
I also preferred Minna no Nihongo to Genki. There is a Kaji Book that goes with Minna no Nihongo as well. I've not tried it out personally but I'd imagine it's convenient as it goes alongside Minna no Nihongo (the textbook). I also used the Kanji book for Tobira (上級へのとびら漢字力), which has 800 Kanji in it and comes with some exercises after each section which I found helpful. It doesn't start from the basics though, so it might be a good follow up book for when you already know some basic Kanji. Hope this helps.
I'm actually hoping to study Physics Masters and PhD in Osaka University through the MEXT Scholarship. Is that how you got here? And thank you for this video ma'am. It helped a lot.
That's exciting, good luck with your plans! I didn't go through MEXT, but through an internal exchange program of my home university with a scholarship of my home university.
I didn't study at Osaka University (大阪大学), but at Osaka City University (大阪市立大学), which sounds similar, but is a completely different University. But regarding your question I'd say that Osaka University is a good choice. It's eight in the ranking of the best universities in the country in 2020 and Japanese Companies are big on employing students from top ranking universities.
Hey, Lisa! I think Germany has a really high quality of life and has some beautiful places, but if you really want to experience a completely different culture, I'd choose Japan for sure. It was one of the most memorable years of my life when I went in High School as an exchange student. Best of luck, wherever you choose to go!
Hey, I am ARMY (from India), I really love watching all your reaction videos everyday! Since u stayed in Osaka for your studies, I suggest you watch Jungkook's GCF ( Golden Closet Film) in Osaka! It's really good, maybe you'll recognize a place or two :)
Hey, girl! I received a scholarship from my home University, which didn't cover all costs though. The accommodation isn't free, although I'd say it's very reasonably priced for living in Osaka.
Thank you so much for the video! May I ask is it possible to bring friends in the dorm for overnight? I will be studying in OU in coming April! Thanks!
I'm glad it helped you! Unfortunately, there's a strict no-staying over policy. So your friends can't stay over. I also wouldn't try it, because you could be expelled from the dorm in the worst case scenario. There is a little guest room however, but only family members can stay there over night.
Glad it helped you a bit. I go to Osaka City University, but the dormitory also rents out to people from Osaka Prefecture University. I pay roughly 35500 Yen a month (including electricity, water, heating and wifi).
Hi there! Yes, I'm an exchange student, studying Japanese Studies at my home university. Here in Osaka at University I mainly study Japanese, but can also choose whichever lectures I'm interested in taking (together with Japanese students in Japanese). I'm going home very soon, but it was a really enriching experience and Osaka is great. Better than Tokyo, but then that's just my biased opinion. ;)
@@Hannami0 Thank you so much! In what ways are Osaka better than Tokyo? I also have a biased that Tokyo people tend to be more cold because it's a really fast pace city(it's like an Asian type of NY?). Do you know any international students who is taking the Human Science program taught in English? Tysm
This dormitory was indeed recommended by my university, but I have to point out again that my university is "Osaka City University" (OCU) and not "Osaka University" (OU). There are no students from OU living in my dormitory right now. I'm sure there is a really good one for the international students from OU, though. ;)
Yes, it is only available to students. For me when I knew that I was going to Osaka City University, there was only this one choice of dormitory, but I don't know if it would be different say for Osaka Prefecture University exchange students.
I study Japanese Studies and Economics. I was too late applying for a mext scholarship, but I did get one from my home university. I would advise you to look at least one year in advance for scholarships such as mext if you're thinking of going and hoping for a scholarship.
hey ,I am ARMY from your reaction channel. just simply came here as I have seen all your reaction video. haha
Thanks you did a great job. As you said there's no much video about the dormitory of Osaka university
Thank you! Osaka University has a different dormitory, though. This one is for students from Osaka City University and Osaka Prefecture University. ;)

Nice video, I'm coming to Japan next year for studies. Looking forward to the student life there~
I lived in the same dormitory during 5 months ! Enjoy !
You did? I'm having a great time, thank you. ;)
This actually helps a lot! I may be like 2 years late.... But still! The way you viewed everything and your casual sense of humour! Thanks a lot!! 🥺💜

How good is Osaka University in terms of education and after graduation getting the job in your field of study?

Anyways thanks for the video, and thanks for all the help.
Ohhh, that's too bad. It's so difficult trying to find somewhere to live together for foreign couples. I feel you! Good luck, though!
Yupp, kind of a difficult situation. It's not easy for couples to manage.
did you get scholarship ?
Yes, from my home university.
Can the boys stay here? Please tell me
Yes, totally. It's a mixed dormitory.
Can you tell me dormitory cost?
It's around 35.000 Yen total as far as I can remember (including electricity, water and Internet). Rent alone is around 28.000 Yen.
What do you study? and did you have to get a mext scholarship?
I study Japanese Studies and Economics. I was too late applying for a mext scholarship, but I did get one from my home university. I would advise you to look at least one year in advance for scholarships such as mext if you're thinking of going and hoping for a scholarship.
Can you explain what exchange student actually is? 😅
Sure thing, it just means that I'm studying for a degree in my home country but part of the degree is an integrated semester or two abroad.
