Leninia seems way to intelligent in this; in the book she seemed very dull
She was rather dull and shallow, a stand in for the indoctrination and disconect of the new world, but Im guessing some producers thought it would be sexist to display her in that way.
That’s how almost everyone in the book is written. This is entirely different. Even their dynamic is completely re-written.
She was a "Beta"!
I love how it was redone
She wasn't any more or less intelligent than anyone else in the New World State. She was just the character that we saw that society through most - the people of The New World State would be dull, boring, and bizarre to us.

The way Lenina is floating, while observing the British Isles and with the music in background! What an intense scene!
It seems a bit unrealistic within the context of the story-world that it's her first time orbital flying, but I get that they made the change to make her more relatable.
Its also unlikely considering in the book she took an orbital ship to the North Pole the previous summer if I’m not incorrect.
Bring this show back !!!

Why the "airplane" is so spatious when the free floating is considered something inappropriate. Also there is only one handle in the cabin- exactly for Lenina to have grip...

Idk how I feel about this version. I guess I envisioned it differently.
I don't like the change they made with her not having flown before. It doesn't make sense within the ultra-globalist story-world, especially comparing it to the original, where she contemplates all the world traveling she had done, to the north pole and what not.
We need season 2 !!!

In the book everybody were quite shallow and conditioned not to be anything else. They were supposed not to think or to feel too many emotions, they were living to satisfy their physical needs and urges. And the society was an extreme form of a class society with the "Alphas" of top and the "Epsilons" at the bottom.

My mother used to say "Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" ruined your mind having had to read it being an impressionable teenager" and you "let it ruin your mind" since a highschool I graduated from was a "Dr. Charles Xavier's School For Gifted Mutants" from Marvel's "X Men".
Such a high school even "preferred prostitution to labor"
My favorite science fiction book is getting a show nice. Aldous Huxley is so underated.

@@thesurvivalist. electric and nuclear engines are great for deep space, but they're nowhere near powerful enough to obtain escape velocity.
