Another terrific review video, thanks Amanda! I love that you got 10 planners in there:) I'm primarily a weekly planner, and use a colorful EC weekly. I keep a running monthly list on the lined pages opposite the monthly tabs. I've also been loving the She Plans sewn daily planners (I tear the sheets out and paperclip them to my EC for days I need more space to write or have a lot of appointments). I will definitely be picking up some Pen and Pillar notebooks with your code, thanks so much for all you do!

I LOVE the concept of the Laurel Denise but want something smaller… any recommendations? That monthly and weekly combined view makes SO much sense to my brain.
There isn't anyone that comes to mind that is smaller with both the monthly and weekly views together...Something might come to mind when I am home and able to look through my office shelves...I am still on vacation. But really nothing exactly like it at all.
I have tried several of these planners from seeing them on your videos. I have that exact Pen + Pillar to try for 2023 after seeing your video and loving the bunnies. I love the way the cover feels…it’s so soft and nice. Everything came beautifully packaged. I picked up a 2022 Spaces planner to try to Q4 once they were marked way down, and I really like the unique style, but I wish there were bigger daily boxes. I think if the daily boxes were bigger, it would be more appealing to me. I’ve got my eye on Laurel Denise for 2024 since I can’t come up with anything else to track in a different planner for 2023. 😂 I love her unique paper sizes. I love these videos! Thank you!

I used the Makselife planner in 2022 and am buying it again for 2023. I am awaiting delivery of Cindy-Guentert-Baldo's Blackberry Fields cover design in the horizontal weekly layout. I used the same planner for years and years, not knowing that there was a plethora of other planners out there. Your channel and excellent reviews exposed me to planners that I didn't even know existed! I learned about Sierra and Makselife from your videos. I really like the Flagship planner and am impressed by the company's empowering and inclusive philosophy. All of the employees are helpful and sweet. For 2023, I also purchased the Erin Condren Metallic Harmony Colorful LifePlanner, and additional covers and accessories. I have been bitten by the planner bug, and it is very contagious!

I'm loving the monthly list/weekly horizontal pages in the Laurel Denise planner. I copied pages to make mock-ups for November and December and it's super functional! I'm looking forward to diving into the Clever Fox weekly I won through your review earlier in the year...I plan on using that to focus on wellness and intentions. Thanks for the fun review!!!
So many great options here! It always makes me “rethink” what I am currently using😂. I have decided to try the Planner Perfect system (with the Ashley Shelly yearly calendar designed by the talented Amanda) and I am loving it so much. It is what works for me. I have the yearly, monthly, journal, my Budget by Paycheck monthly workbook and I will add the quarterly Makselife goal planner as well to my TN. Thanks for another great video!

Like one of your other viewers/commenters, I was surprised not to see Plum Paper in your review. For me, they have so many customizable options; for that alone, they would be in a top 5/10 list for me personally. I appreciate how you made this list; I have been looking forward to it for a couple of weeks because I like to be challenged in my view as a designer. For those that care, I keep my meetings/appointments on a digital platform and I use a Plum Paper planner for my weekly to-do's. Always love your reviews, Amanda! My go-to planner for the past few years has been the 8.5 X 11 weekly Emily Ley planner made by ACCO (purchased at Target or Amazon). I've had soo many of the premier and premium planners, but the layout and size of this make it almost perfect.
I love your top 5 videos! I appreciate seeing new planners on your top 5 this year. The Laurel Denise planner seems like an interesting layouts. I do tend to forget to check my monthly goals and plans. I might check it out in the future if I'll need to change my weekly. I also like Pen+Pillar but they don't ship to my country unfortunatly. I already chose the spaces planner for this year. The owner Rachael is so nice and I love making lists and love the idea of having my weekly tasks broken down by categories rather than days. I think it will help me be more flexible when I plan my days. I'm really excited about this change.

I am and have been using the Get To Work Book planner since 2017. I just absolutely love it. Since this is going to be her last year selling the planners, I am now curious to check out what else is out there. I like the look of the Sprouted Planner, Hemlock and Oak, and Clever Fox and will be checking your videos out on them over time. Also I think that could be a good video for you to make next year - planner recommendations for the Get To Work Book users.
Thanks for sharing that video idea Victoria:) I know it will be sad to not have that available anymore:( I think those are all great options you listed- as well as: Passion Planner, Makselife (the layout is great even if you don't want to use the goal setting system included, Amplify planner, commit 30, - those are all off the top of my head I would recommend.
I got the Spaces planner. The designs weren’t my favorite (I like bright colors and not florals) but the layout is going to perfect for how my brain functions and gives me the flexibility I need with having ADHD and managing chronic illnesses (some days I’m stuck in bed). I love that I can write in categories similar to David Allen’s GTD method and work off those. Plus (with exception of writing in my doctor’s appointments for the day) daily planners become overwhelming because I don’t always meet the goals and leaving unchecked to-dos can be discouraging. I do think the scripting method could really work for me for a daily. By simply processing my feelings and setting some intentions versus having that often dreaded daily to do list, I might finally use and like a “daily” planner, so I’m going to try out Planner Perfect too! Thanks for the recommendations.

Love your choices Amanda. I have used many of them. I used Clever Fox before it was a thing and I loved it-I just bought my daughter a clever fox self care journal! ! I love Spaces planner except that its not very portable. But you know, I always go back to Erin Condren Monthly with extra pages . . .

@@AmandasFavorites Well I have surprising news. My daughter and I were talking and decided we are both going to try custom plum paper planners for next year. Me a monthly, hers a weekly hourly. LOL I watched your videos and am mildly concerned about the paper but having used so many different planners, I am sure I can adapt.
I love that you and your daughter can bond over planners! And Plum Paper sells a sample book of all their layouts where you can test out their paper and their layouts:)
I’m late to the video but I recently discovered Golden Coil and Laurel Denise so I was looking for videos reviewing them. What a delight your review was to see them both make your top 5! Unfortunately that doesn’t help my decision as now I want to order both and I already have an EC on the way 😂

Thank you for this comparison - I have gone with the EC weekly because they have so many accessories to complement the planner. Not sure, but I think that EC is the only one with changeable covers, & I like that option for changes in season. Also like the stickers, etc. I have a question: Do you have a review of any of their planner carrying totes/bags? Would love a link to that. Thanks again!
Hi, thanks for sharing what you are getting and why:) I have several of their folio cases and bags...But unfortunately I've never put them all in one video here. I've shared IGTV's on Instagram on most of them. But IGTV's are hard to dig through and find old ones. I will put this on my video list for next year;) Thanks!
Currently in a daily that goes through end of next April. Considering a weekly next time plus a separate notebook to journal in. Maybe Plum Paper again or maybe back to Erin Condren. Not sure yet.
What a fun list this year! The MakseLife is one of my top choices, of course, but Sprouted Planner has really come in and made some great planners! I can see that one being so practical! Especially for those of us who don't have a lot of time driven to dos. And as much as I love EC, I've found that her layouts are no longer super practical for me, which makes me sad. But I will always think they are the prettiest!

I really love how thorough your reviews are. I'm interested in purchasing either a Sprouted, KitLife or Laurel Denise planner. Do you know if any of them have any Black Friday sales that I should wait for or if I can go ahead and order one now?
None of them have given me any black friday information. But I have heard Laurel Denise say they will have sales on other items/maybe bundles? But not the planners themselves. I would follow all of them on Instagram or sign up for their emails if you want to be the first to hear about their black Friday sales:) My guess is they will have something! Hobonichi has thin paper- very much like bible paper...it has a lot of show through but no bleed through;) I have a playlist on hobonichi if you want more info and to see the paper in use....and now I just realized that your 'if was supposed to be an "of"...LOL- and that changes the question! Hemlock and oak is the closest with thick paper...but daily & weekly aren't combined.

I started using Erin Condren in 2013/2014 and am still in an ECLP vertical layout. The paper is second to none. But, for me specifically, I’m not a fan of the direction the company has gone in over the past years - they are on notice for me. I may be switching brands and I always appreciate these videos.

I love the printables in my ring bound planners as Filofax or moterm, I use the pocket (A7) size that I carry with me all the time. It's small and chunky and cute (*’(OO)’*)

Welcome! oh, that is s good question. I would think you might have luck going into a Christian bookstore near you...we have Mardels where I live. Another idea is to search that out on Amazon. Daily Grace is a company that might, Day Spring....I thin I got that name right...maybe a google search on it. It may take sometime...but I bet there is one out there?! Good luck!

I think people are pretty loyal to their favorite weekly planner. If they're like me, I just can't find a daily that is everything I'm looking for without a bunch of stuff I don't want.
Oh, I understand about kitlife! I've heard that a lot! And while nothing is exactly the same at that price point...Sprouts Planner Daily is the most similar for the daily...I haven't thought about the weekly yet becuase I have only been asked about the daily so far;)

I don't love how small it is, and I miss mohawk paper, but the daily layout seems efficient. Weekly layout... still on the hunt for one like KITLife.
I would buy golden planner but little too expensive and very boring planner when you are spending $80. I am colorful girl. I am set for next year , but definitely would like to try sprouted planner next year.
If you like color then you are right...Golden Coil probably isn't your pick. Although many add a lot of color to the pages. But I get it;) And Sprouted is a great one to try;)
I've been using just a notes page in the Erin Condren Monthly as a weekly task list. My planning is mostly task-basedright now so it has been working. That Pen + Pillar looks really nice though!

Always love your reviews, Amanda! My go-to planner for the past few years has been the 8.5 X 11 weekly Emily Ley planner made by ACCO (purchased at Target or Amazon). I've had soo many of the premier and premium planners, but the layout and size of this make it almost perfect.

I love your top 5 videos! I appreciate seeing new planners on your top 5 this year. The Laurel Denise planner seems like an interesting layouts. I do tend to forget to check my monthly goals and plans. I might check it out in the future if I'll need to change my weekly. I also like Pen+Pillar but they don't ship to my country unfortunatly. I already chose the spaces planner for this year. The owner Rachael is so nice and I love making lists and love the idea of having my weekly tasks broken down by categories rather than days. I think it will help me be more flexible when I plan my days. I'm really excited about this change.

I am and have been using the Get To Work Book planner since 2017. I just absolutely love it. Since this is going to be her last year selling the planners, I am now curious to check out what else is out there. I like the look of the Sprouted Planner, Hemlock and Oak, and Clever Fox and will be checking your videos out on them over time. Also I think that could be a good video for you to make next year - planner recommendations for the Get To Work Book users.
Thanks for sharing that video idea Victoria:) I know it will be sad to not have that available anymore:( I think those are all great options you listed- as well as: Passion Planner, Makselife (the layout is great even if you don't want to use the goal setting system included, Amplify planner, commit 30, - those are all off the top of my head I would recommend.
I got the Spaces planner. The designs weren’t my favorite (I like bright colors and not florals) but the layout is going to perfect for how my brain functions and gives me the flexibility I need with having ADHD and managing chronic illnesses (some days I’m stuck in bed). I love that I can write in categories similar to David Allen’s GTD method and work off those. Plus (with exception of writing in my doctor’s appointments for the day) daily planners become overwhelming because I don’t always meet the goals and leaving unchecked to-dos can be discouraging. I do think the scripting method could really work for me for a daily. By simply processing my feelings and setting some intentions versus having that often dreaded daily to do list, I might finally use and like a “daily” planner, so I’m going to try out Planner Perfect too! Thanks for the recommendations.

My current favorite is the Academic Weekly with Hours by Sprouted Planners. It’s been working so well for me!

Love your choices Amanda. I have used many of them. I used Clever Fox before it was a thing and I loved it-I just bought my daughter a clever fox self care journal! ! I love Spaces planner except that its not very portable. But you know, I always go back to Erin Condren Monthly with extra pages . . .

@@AmandasFavorites Well I have surprising news. My daughter and I were talking and decided we are both going to try custom plum paper planners for next year. Me a monthly, hers a weekly hourly. LOL I watched your videos and am mildly concerned about the paper but having used so many different planners, I am sure I can adapt.
I love that you and your daughter can bond over planners! And Plum Paper sells a sample book of all their layouts where you can test out their paper and their layouts:)

I’m late to the video but I recently discovered Golden Coil and Laurel Denise so I was looking for videos reviewing them. What a delight your review was to see them both make your top 5! Unfortunately that doesn’t help my decision as now I want to order both and I already have an EC on the way 😂

Thank you for this comparison - I have gone with the EC weekly because they have so many accessories to complement the planner. Not sure, but I think that EC is the only one with changeable covers, & I like that option for changes in season. Also like the stickers, etc. I have a question: Do you have a review of any of their planner carrying totes/bags? Would love a link to that. Thanks again!
Hi, thanks for sharing what you are getting and why:) I have several of their folio cases and bags...But unfortunately I've never put them all in one video here. I've shared IGTV's on Instagram on most of them. But IGTV's are hard to dig through and find old ones. I will put this on my video list for next year;) Thanks!
Currently in a daily that goes through end of next April. Considering a weekly next time plus a separate notebook to journal in. Maybe Plum Paper again or maybe back to Erin Condren. Not sure yet.

What a fun list this year! The MakseLife is one of my top choices, of course, but Sprouted Planner has really come in and made some great planners! I can see that one being so practical! Especially for those of us who don't have a lot of time driven to dos. And as much as I love EC, I've found that her layouts are no longer super practical for me, which makes me sad. But I will always think they are the prettiest!

I really love how thorough your reviews are. I'm interested in purchasing either a Sprouted, KitLife or Laurel Denise planner. Do you know if any of them have any Black Friday sales that I should wait for or if I can go ahead and order one now?
None of them have given me any black friday information. But I have heard Laurel Denise say they will have sales on other items/maybe bundles? But not the planners themselves. I would follow all of them on Instagram or sign up for their emails if you want to be the first to hear about their black Friday sales:) My guess is they will have something! Hobonichi has thin paper- very much like bible paper...it has a lot of show through but no bleed through;) I have a playlist on hobonichi if you want more info and to see the paper in use....and now I just realized that your 'if was supposed to be an "of"...LOL- and that changes the question! Hemlock and oak is the closest with thick paper...but daily & weekly aren't combined.

I started using Erin Condren in 2013/2014 and am still in an ECLP vertical layout. The paper is second to none. But, for me specifically, I’m not a fan of the direction the company has gone in over the past years - they are on notice for me. I may be switching brands and I always appreciate these videos.

Welcome! oh, that is s good question. I would think you might have luck going into a Christian bookstore near you...we have Mardels where I live. Another idea is to search that out on Amazon. Daily Grace is a company that might, Day Spring....I thin I got that name right...maybe a google search on it. It may take sometime...but I bet there is one out there?! Good luck!

Oh, I understand about kitlife! I've heard that a lot! And while nothing is exactly the same at that price point...Sprouts Planner Daily is the most similar for the daily...I haven't thought about the weekly yet becuase I have only been asked about the daily so far;)

I don't love how small it is, and I miss mohawk paper, but the daily layout seems efficient. Weekly layout... still on the hunt for one like KITLife.
I would buy golden planner but little too expensive and very boring planner when you are spending $80. I am colorful girl. I am set for next year , but definitely would like to try sprouted planner next year.
If you like color then you are right...Golden Coil probably isn't your pick. Although many add a lot of color to the pages. But I get it;) And Sprouted is a great one to try;)

I've been using just a notes page in the Erin Condren Monthly as a weekly task list. My planning is mostly task-basedright now so it has been working. That Pen + Pillar looks really nice though!

Those wire style always mess up on me the passomiate Penny planner realized this so they are now a coil much better
