I recently swapped to the 14 pro max from the 14 pro (primary reason being screen size) and I have managed to get a lot more use out of it than my previous one, with my 14 pro max being at 60% after being off charge since 9:45 this morning; even with fairly heavy use since I left work it’s only gone down by around 10% over the hour and a half since I finished
It’s because these RUclipsrs are paid to make the new product look better. They’re just trying to get people to buy the new phone. I guarantee the 13 pro max is not at 100% battery health. I literally watched a 25 min video that compared the 2 at 100% battery health. It wasn’t even close the 13 pro max walked the 14 pro max by over 20%

Yes, every battery test shows the 14PM is better than the 13PM, but we still get those saying it isn't. Here is further evidence that 14PM is an improvement if you use it the same as 13PM. Obviously, the 14PM has much higher max brightness, and you would be naive to not acknowledge that will hit the battery bad if used often. Ditto the AOD, 0.5% per hour, and also when gaming, less throttling, so cores running higher for better FPS, so again, the battery will drain quicker than 13PM. Seems to be some standby drain on iOS 16, but that will improve; the latest betas better. So ignore the negativity of the 14PM; it clearly is a better phone than the 13PM in every metric, and if you are upgrading from something like the 11PM or older, do not fall for the influencers that say buy the 13PM to save $200, as that is a false economy.

One random YT video is meaningless as far as statistics go as we do not know if it was done under perfect conditions. See PhoneArena, Toms Guide and numerous others, and it is clear that the 14PM is equal or better, depending on apps, and all the complaints are because random people use their phones differently (brightness, AOD, etc.). Apple would be sued if they claimed it was the same or better, and it was not, so I am sorry, but you are just looking for bad stuff. Give it a month, and battery life will be better still.

@@thsclips7777 13Pro Max is a great phone, and I am also not upgrading, but my 13PM has improved about 20% since I got iOS 16.1 beta, so I feel any worries about the battery will prove to be unfounded as it gets updated.

earlier today saw the one where the 13PM got 10+ hours (13PM vs s22U), and now barely 9h.
Because it depends a lot on what you are doing with the devices, how bright they are, which os, and a whole lot of other settings.
These tests are very subjective. + maybe the ip13pm battery capacity is already degraded to 90% while 14pm is at 100%

Depends on how old the battery is and how many times it's been charged and discharged, since the older the battery, the faster it drains.
