Florida is chatterbait central. Use what works for you.
Just like flipping ( multiple different rods) same holds true for chatterbaits.
Are you skipping docks and laydowns or casting big flats of hydrilla or eel grass.
Are you fishing deep offshore grass and brush or burning the bait.
I use braid and a fiberglass rod to cover grass flats better hookup ratio. Deep cranking rod.
Its all about where your fishing it.

Exactly! That’s why there is not one rod for it that covers every situation.

How about the 7'6" medium heavy moderate fast for big worms and jigs? I am looking for a rod that has a nice parabolic load up to keep them pinned but still have some backbone.

That 7’6MH can do so many things! It would be a great big wormin’ rod and offshore jig rod.

What action are you using? That's an important thing to go over. Not sure if I missed that.

Each rod has a different action. But most of the time I prefer a fast for bladed jigs.

sir what speed of reel are you using for the chatterbait?

I use a 7.2:1 exclusively. Haven’t found a need to slow down or speed up most of the time.
When fishing the 3/4oz out deep, a 6.2:1 could be beneficial to keep it on strike zone longer.

Can I ask what the B stands for in this line of rods?

Nothing in particular. Just away to identify the series alphabetically as different variations come out. The original and first Expride series was called the Expride A.

Wasn't impressed with the expride for chatter bait. To be honest all the trickle down technology that goes into the Zodias and Curado are as good as the Expride minus the guides but the Expride feels heavier now then the other two

      Which one did you try?

      @patrickzajdel 7'2" medium heavy
The Rod is either heavy or not balanced, and ended up with a Daiwa Tatula 7' 2" MH glass cranking rod not their glass bladed jig rod which is a MH 7'4" too but heavy feeling 8n the hands, The $159 cork handle rods.
But I think my favorite is Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris CarbonLite Technique Casting Rod - 7'3" - Heavy - Heavy Moderate - Bladed Jig
      SKU: 3810360
I have tried many a rods for this technique and they cross over for 3/4oz rattle trap rod. More expensive doesn't always mean better. That Bass Pro bladed jig rod is even better then Abu Garcia Hank Cherry Bladed jig rod better balanced etc. and I think Abu Garcia makes it for Bass Pro
