Yeah those Oscars take a helluva beating before they go down. Best is to hit them with a lot of torpedos at the start when they're slow and relatively shallow.

Firing two decoy torpedos on an almost parallel course with some distance betweeen them will catch and trap any torpedos until they run out. They will just bounce from one to the other.
I ususally fire MOSS in pairs, with not much heading difference between and it works very well

Yeah those work very well on acoustic homing torpedoes, wake homing on the other hand...

OK so, I'm not very familiar with Cold Waters. What Surface ships can you command? Is it just the Tico, or can you command Sprucans and OHP's (Fig 7's) as well and can you command specific ships, like CG 55 or DD 970?

There are many ships you can command but you cant choose specific ships. Sometimes its random and you might spawn as CG 47 or 46 another time. Nato ships are Perry Oliver Hazard, Tico, Spruance, Belknap and Battleship Iowa. There are too many Russian surface ships to list. Thanks for watching Eric!

I'm a bit late to the show but Cold Waters is primarily a submarine only game but this mod, DotMod, allows for surface combat, and everything what @_OpFor said

Forgive the dumb question, what does the vls do? I understand the meaning but I thought it was for surface ships

VLS just stands for Vertical Launching System (I think). Either sub or surface ship can have it and it can fire a range of weapons from rocket assisted torps to tomahawk missiles and icbms. Hope that helps!
