Good redfin brother I'm hoping to get up there soon to target the bigger cod like they do in Eildon through the cooler months A feed of redfin will do nicely if the cod don't show up Can't wait to get up there
Hi Robbie I'm in South Australia and redfin are the same as carp in that it is illegal to put them back in the water. Have to say I think they are the best eating fresh water fish.
They sure are beautiful eating. If I was you I would put them back anyway and not tell anyone. Haha. It's not like the S.A. government is going to replace them with native fish. There's a lot of greenies here in Victoria that lecture me for releasing redfin, but theu can all get stuffed.... even if the Victorian government makes it illegal, I will still release them anyway because theu bring a lot of happiness to a lot of people.
I’m so jealous, I went with a mate of mine to Bostock Reservoir in Ballan on the weekend and all we got was 1 Redfin each but very small. You’re killing it mate well done
Thanks mate. There's a lot of luck involved. I went back here 3 days after filming this last week and caught 1 small redfin. LOL And... 3 days before i filmed this my dad and I had a really slow session. There's a lot of "Right place at the right time" involved.
Haha It was blowing s gale at the car park. I suspect that as I walked down the boat ramp I was sheltered from the wind a bit. When I share the bait fishing video that I filmed afterwards you will see how windy it was. LOL
Hey mate I reckon it would be much harder to catch them now, ad you said there's been a massive weather change now to 2 weeks ago. Winter has hit us head on.
Well I think whenever you talk it’s either interesting or funny. You could just catch a tadpole and be happy Robbie. It’s all about being out and enjoying life 🤗
A great day fishing, lots of action lifts the spirits. I was thinking when you are doing your Yabbie fishing, you use dog food and other baits. Have you ever used the fish heads and chucks of other fish you have caught for bait? Here in British Columbia we have used different baits like you do , but we would also use the trout heads of pieces of herring , they seem to work well, even the carcasses of the Crayfish ( we call them) work well, just curious, thanks for the video
Thanks mate. I sure have. I often use fish heads and off cuts, they work exceptionally well. Our winter crayfishing season starts here soon and I can not wait.
Many Winters in North Dakota on Lake Sacagawea in a propane furnace heated ice house that we would tow out on the lake with a four wheeler fishing for these things with nothing but a half gallon peppermint schnapps, a bottle of vodka and our fishing gear. LOL
Only just found your video channel, a great session. Here in the UK a redfin is a roach, don't know if you have them in your part of the world. Incidentally where actually are you.
Interesting that English perch is considered a pest in England. These videos are from Australia and they are classed as a noxious pest over here. I always assumed they were classed as a pest because they are an introduced species. Getting caught transporting live redfin within australia is a $5000 dollar fine.

@@robbiefishing sounds awesome, do you get your lures/soft plastics from the local tackle stores???
Yes, please do a review of the boots
Thanks mate. Already done it..... here it is: ruclips.net/video/Vs8lNIRqKCI/видео.html
Good one Robbie 👍 learnt from your advice thanks
That's amazing how you got your soft plastic back
Haha I was surprised. Funny fish!!
Good redfin brother
I'm hoping to get up there soon to target the bigger cod like they do in Eildon through the cooler months
A feed of redfin will do nicely if the cod don't show up
Can't wait to get up there
Thanks mate. You will love it. Lake Buffalo is like a mini Lake Eildon.
Great feed there Robbie! And you should do a review on your bogs, haha! Glad you like them. 🤙🏻
Thanks for the feedback mate, they're so bloody good. I'm totally going to review them. Haha
Redfin are great eating and fun to catch
You're not wrong mate, thats why so many of us love them.
I'd be happy with that kind of session any time of year! Great work mate
Thanks mate, I think any of us would. This was definitely one out of the box. LOL
Bloody hell, wish my redfin fishing was that good! Well done 😎 this was awesome! 😁🎣
Thanks mate. I think we all wish for that. Haha Fishing trips like this don't come along too often.
@@robbiefishing that's very true!
Super session - great average size and such beautiful coloration Robbie!
Thanks Frank. Isn't it amazing how fish always have more vibrant colours when caught in clear water.
ripper!!! there all massive robbie keep it up
Thanks so much mate. 👍
Such a beautiful spot to fish. You did better there than I did. Still caught a couple.
Thanks mate. Sure is a beautiful place. It's been hit and miss lately. I had a hut in this day, but definitely had a few misses recently too.
What an awesome Redfin session, your Mom is in for a great meal :)
Thanks so much Larry. She said she loved every single bite.
WORTH the drive!
Absolutely. 👍👍
@@robbiefishing ;o)
Great video Robbie you got some nice redfin
Thanks so much Noah.
They were some nice reddies robbie pritty cool mate.👏
Thanks mate. I was certainly on top of the world thst night. Haha
Outstanding session. Enjoy the fillets 😄🐟
Thanks mate. My parents enjoyed them immensely.
Nice redfin nom nom! Didn't look that windy! hahaha
Haha It was blowing s gale at the car park. I suspect that as I walked down the boat ramp I was sheltered from the wind a bit.
When I share the bait fishing video that I filmed afterwards you will see how windy it was. LOL
Good job nice fish nice lake
Thanks Zdrav. It sure is a beautiful place.
love all your videos 👌
Thank you so much mate.
We had great weather then l wonder if that helped.....its so bipin cold now not sure how many redfin would jump on the hook....
Hey mate I reckon it would be much harder to catch them now, ad you said there's been a massive weather change now to 2 weeks ago. Winter has hit us head on.
Magic 🎩 hats off to the day
Thanks mate. This was certainly one of my more memorable fishing trips.
Well I think whenever you talk it’s either interesting or funny. You could just catch a tadpole and be happy Robbie. It’s all about being out and enjoying life 🤗
Haha thank you so much Sharon. Being happy is what it's all about.
Robbie I’m sure the lake level dropped nice size red fin mate.
Thanks Debbie. Haha I think so top. LOL
I love your videos keep.it.up.king
Thank you so much mate.
I've been suffering that first cast squid thing lately and the not catch a damn thing at all curse too. 😂
Haha it's so annoying isn't it. 🤣
Over the age of 40, its fine to talk to yourself 😆 🤣. What a catch Robbie. Condolences to your family.
Haha thanks Deb. I don't even realise I do it and usually edit it out, but I left it in this time for a laugh. Thank you for your kind words.
Mate! What a session 👏 I hope your mum was indeed as happy as 10 mum’s 😂
Thanks Martin. 👍 haha she sure was mate
Great session Robbie🍺👍🏽
Thanks so much Allan.
What a solid session!
Thanks mate. Short and VERY sharp. Haha
I just found your channel bloke you do alrighty... I might stick around longer if you dont sing haha.... Ta Fanks for sharing
Hahaha thanks mate. What's wrong with my singing? LOL 😂
@@robbiefishing You had the local police turn up because they thought they heard someone in pain and you ask me what is wrong with your singing?
I just commented just then on the blue tongue lizard video just refreshed my page and you uploaded a video 😀😀😀
Haha I hearted your comment on that video. I hope you enjoy this one too mate. 👍
@@robbiefishing what is the best blue tongue food
@@Lachiefishing144 Mine loves meal worms and bananas and the occasional live yabby.
Always helpful mate thanks
LOL
Haha that sounds like my type of adventure. LOL
I have the same rod as you where using in the video and I also have a Sedona 1000 reel
Awesome, they're a great rod for casting long distance.
Awesome session mate, thumping reddies
Thanks buddy. I really did hit the jackpot that day. WOW
Good job Robbie 👍 I had a cracker of a day today even tho it was slow I still managed to get a 48cm cheetah trout and drop a couple bigger fish
Thanks mate. WOW that is awesome. Is a cheetah trout and a tiger trout the same thing?
@@robbiefishing no they are a bit different cheetah trout is a rainbow trout and a Brook trout cross and a tiger is a brown and Brook cross but it is sometimes hard to tell between one another one has more circle kind of markings the other has stripes
@@Timbo_Breambo WOW there you go, you learn something new each day. I will look them up. Thanks for the info.
That's why we love you robbie
Thank you so much mate. 👍
Where is that scenery looks amazing
Hi, I was fishing at Lake Buffalo.

Hey mate told you there's big one's there. Pity you didn't get a chance to whack on a silver celta with red and black stripes. The plastic was going to good eh. Cheers mate 👍🤠
Thanks Mick, it sure was going too good. As they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Haha
