My mom, had a very thin, surface-level knowledge of Genshin so I had to explain it in terms that she can easily understand! I mean, she called Xiangling Snow White (prior to recording) and Razor a raccoon (same with Sayu).

When qiqi went collecting herbs, she's unconsciously go too deep into adepty territory, and then she fell from a cliff when searching for herbs. her legs is broken and then she's go to a cave for sheltering, but she's hit by a rock from landslide cause of adeptus's fight (big chance it was xiao, not confirmed yet). When she almost died, she's think of her family, she want to live, and start thinking how wonderful it would be to freeze the time and meet her family now, and then she got her vision in her last breath. The adepty feel pity for her and deciding to revive her as jiangshi (chinese zombie). But the adeptus's power is too much for her to handle, and she start going berserk, the adeptus then lock her in the amber (the orange rock in adeptus mountain). By the time the amber start going to loose and finally qiqi gotten free, she cant remember anything and just going collecting herbs since it was the only thing she can remember. Dr.baizhu by chance seeing her and then decide to sheltering her.

Honestly i think that shenhe's backstory is more tragic than rosaria's, dont get me wrong rosaria's was tragic, but in shenhe's cas3 she was sold out as a sacrifice by her own father, the one who was supposed to protect her
Rosaria backstory is not as tragic as her mental state. Which is conveniently hinted on her card (Just read it's description). Shenhe basically need to have her curse lightened (Which is bound to happen with traveller around), then she can undo the rope and adapt to feelings (Which is just Equilibrium movie thing of not being able to deal with emotions since said emotions were supressed and thus there is no experience). Rosaria needs extensive therapy, but good luck forcing her to take the therapy.
Shenhe's father didn't really wanna do it tho, he was just forced to do it so that the curse will end. Didn't you read her father's letter we found with Yunjin? He was saying sorry to her wife and their child, Shenhe.
Idk man both looks equally tragic to me. Rosaria's village and we can also assume her family were killed by bandits, then they took her with them and forced her to do their dirty work since she was a child. It's just Shenhe and Rosaria copes and deals with their trauma differently.
I feel like why Xiao’s outfit is all over the place is because the different colored pieces of cloth on his outfit were from the other yaksha or serve as a remembrance for them in some way

Silly fun fun explanation: Diona is clearly a cat, represented by the calico patterns, but is known as a Kätzlëin, which she explains in her trailer. Sucrose is a dog, but it isn’t very obvious bc it’s actually shown on the bottom of her shoes, which have dog paws. Yae Miko is coming soon, and she is something known as a kitsune. Kitsune are shape-shifting foxes that usually take on the form of a woman. Sayu is actually a human, but her costume is based off either a mujina or tanuki. Both are raccoon-like animals of Japanese myth that can shape-shift. The leaf on Sayu’s head is often used beginner tanuki when learning to shape-shift. Kujou Sara wears the “Tengu geta” not only as part of her design, but also bc she is a tengu (obviously), which are known to have superhuman balance.
I mean Sucrose we don't know actually, it's most likely sometime canine in nature but she's not a dog person like gorou. There's actually some thoughts now that she's some flavor of fox like Tighnari, like veeeery distant relative of his species with what we now know about his species.

Your mom definitely has an eye for reading character’s personalities based on their looks alone. Sure that means the characters were well designed, but it also takes a certain amount of experience and insight to be able to read them so accurately. I LOVE her personality, bless her heart ❤️

The xiao slander :( Maybe his backstory would've made his design and expression make more sense and appreciated but it's cool though. His English voice does make him seem edgy and you wouldn't know his character unless you delve deep into his backstory in stuff. By his jp and cn voice you could tell how lonely he is and how much he suffers
I think that’s why I didn’t like Xiao as much. No disrespect to EN VA, but their take on Xiao doesn’t do it for me. Maybe other VAs do him justice? It wouldn’t be the first time. I didn’t like Razor’s EN VA that much, but Korean VA was perfect! All I’m saying is never say never.

There are technically 3 of them: makoto raiden (sister of ei) , raiden ei (sister of makoto and creator of raiden shogun) and then raiden shogun(created by ei , ruler of inazuma, she is basicly a puppet like SCARAMOOCHIE) STORYLINE: now in the archon war (or it is another war, cant remember ) makoto died. Ei was so sad she created shogun and then ei placed her consciousness in Musou Isshin (given sword from makoto) leaving shogun in control so that ei can meditate for the next 500 years until lumine faught ei that made ei realise she should end the vision hunt decree. And later in the story quest, transient dreams, ei fights shogun, after the fight she ends this whole thing about eternity after realsing it didnt make the people of inazuma happy. Most people get confused, because they probably didnt pay attention or didnt do the inazuma archon quest yet. Honestly, this video would've been much better if the characters were actually described in an accurate way... the fact that Yanfei is an illuminated beast was left out, but then we spent like 10 minutes on Rosaria being raised by bandits (yet didn't really note that she's a nun)... Xiao is an adepti who fights demons and other bad things across Liyue. But by fighting these bad things, he builds up bad karma, and he is the only one left who has not given in to karma and died. Qiqi was a little girl who went picking herbs. She was injured when a fight involving the adepti broke out in her vicinity, and she hid in a cave. She was crushed and died, and the adepti felt bad for harming her, so they used their power and revived her as a zombie. Kujou Sara is a tengu. She is a general in the shogun's army and enforced the vision hunt decree in the civil war in inazuma. Rosaria was born in a village somewhere that was burned down by bandits. The bandits took her and raised her to do tasks for them, like stealing. Eventually the bandit camp was raided by the Knights of Favonius, but since she was so young she was given a second chance, her only criteria is to be a nun in the church. A little script with summaries would've really helped this...
Rosaria was taken by bandits who destroyed her village from who knows where (my guess is snezhnaya) as a baby and grew up to be the bandits' child labor of a thief and when the bandits found no use of rosaria (planning to get rid of her) she later received her vision and the bandits changed their mind and trained her to be a killer, then years past and rosaria is like a teenager she found out about the truth and got angry (being angsty) to her stepfather in the bandits (the one who she's closes to) and killed him and the interesting part is that the stepfather let rosaria kill him like he realized that raising rosaria this way was wrong and he said sorry and that she's free then rosaria was emotionally shattered because of the love/hate father figure that she just killed then the bandits made her a leader (because the stepfather was the leader before) then rosaria and her bandit group got captured and varka spared her told her to be a nun and maybe she'll change but she didn't she still has that killer instinct and she release those instincts at night. She stayed to be a nun as a thank you for varka for giving her another chance even though she hates it.

On Xiao "He's a Demon." Uuuhm no, it's written right there that he's a Demon Conqueror, literally the best of all. He' an Adeptus like Zhongli and the only remaining (aka the strongest) of the 5 Yaksha's
(Don't see this as hate please) i'm pretty sure that childe has no spark in his eyes cause of the trauma(falling into the abyss at 14 and forced to fight and train growing up) Just so if you didn't know
about the leaf on Sayu. Tanuki are known for their transformations using leaves. Tanukis in Animal Crossing should give you shallow level of insight as to what they can do. Also Sayu's 16 and is born short in stature. Not her fault just genetics.
As I remember Sucrose is a fenech (fox), she loves sweets, sugar and foxes love sweets (not a good thing for them, as bananas for monkeys, btw...), she have doglike footprints and she have pointed down years, 100% fenech...
I'd be interested in seeing what she thinks of the outfits and battlesuits in _Honkai Impact 3rd_ too. Fortunately you can see them without obtaining them. The tips of Rosaria's rope blades look a lot like the tips on Mobius's tails.

A quick explanation regarding Hu Tao: We did go through Hu Tao, even explained the fact that she has a role where she aids people move on to the afterlife. The thing is, at the time of recording the video, we just came back from a funeral and when it came time to talk about Hu Tao, things became noticeably awkward. I cut the footage because it felt like an uncomfortable subject.
As someone who work with art, I can tell she was so accurate most of the time, for someone who don't know genshin or familiar with any of these content. I can understand why she told razor is racoon, b.c of his outfit lol and about zhongli, she was so sharp to realize, b.c his clothing design did base on/related to dragon. Most of the time during the video, there is nothing to be made fun of or laugh about, you can only respect her and her professional career. (Pardon my English)

The xiao slander :( Maybe his backstory would've made his design and expression make more sense and appreciated but it's cool though. His English voice does make him seem edgy and you wouldn't know his character unless you delve deep into his backstory in stuff. By his jp and cn voice you could tell how lonely he is and how much he suffers
I think that’s why I didn’t like Xiao as much. No disrespect to EN VA, but their take on Xiao doesn’t do it for me. Maybe other VAs do him justice? It wouldn’t be the first time. I didn’t like Razor’s EN VA that much, but Korean VA was perfect! All I’m saying is never say never.

@@jenniferchaulam I’ll never fault the VAs for anything unless it’s actually warranted. They did what’s needed for the role and the casting director picked out what’s best suited for the character (or what seems marketable). I’m only speaking out of preference.

Correction: Ei and shogun is not one person.
There are technically 3 of them: makoto raiden (sister of ei) , raiden ei (sister of makoto and creator of raiden shogun) and then raiden shogun(created by ei , ruler of inazuma, she is basicly a puppet like SCARAMOOCHIE)
STORYLINE: now in the archon war (or it is another war, cant remember ) makoto died. Ei was so sad she created shogun and then ei placed her consciousness in Musou Isshin (given sword from makoto) leaving shogun in control so that ei can meditate for the next 500 years until lumine faught ei that made ei realise she should end the vision hunt decree. And later in the story quest, transient dreams, ei fights shogun, after the fight she ends this whole thing about eternity after realsing it didnt make the people of inazuma happy.
Most people get confused, because they probably didnt pay attention or didnt do the inazuma archon quest yet. UNDERSTANDABLE😂

Honestly, this video would've been much better if the characters were actually described in an accurate way... the fact that Yanfei is an illuminated beast was left out, but then we spent like 10 minutes on Rosaria being raised by bandits (yet didn't really note that she's a nun)...
Xiao is an adepti who fights demons and other bad things across Liyue. But by fighting these bad things, he builds up bad karma, and he is the only one left who has not given in to karma and died.
Qiqi was a little girl who went picking herbs. She was injured when a fight involving the adepti broke out in her vicinity, and she hid in a cave. She was crushed and died, and the adepti felt bad for harming her, so they used their power and revived her as a zombie.
Kujou Sara is a tengu. She is a general in the shogun's army and enforced the vision hunt decree in the civil war in inazuma.
Rosaria was born in a village somewhere that was burned down by bandits. The bandits took her and raised her to do tasks for them, like stealing. Eventually the bandit camp was raided by the Knights of Favonius, but since she was so young she was given a second chance, her only criteria is to be a nun in the church.
A little script with summaries would've really helped this...
Rosaria was taken by bandits who destroyed her village from who knows where (my guess is snezhnaya) as a baby and grew up to be the bandits' child labor of a thief and when the bandits found no use of rosaria (planning to get rid of her) she later received her vision and the bandits changed their mind and trained her to be a killer, then years past and rosaria is like a teenager she found out about the truth and got angry (being angsty) to her stepfather in the bandits (the one who she's closes to) and killed him and the interesting part is that the stepfather let rosaria kill him like he realized that raising rosaria this way was wrong and he said sorry and that she's free then rosaria was emotionally shattered because of the love/hate father figure that she just killed then the bandits made her a leader (because the stepfather was the leader before) then rosaria and her bandit group got captured and varka spared her told her to be a nun and maybe she'll change but she didn't she still has that killer instinct and she release those instincts at night. She stayed to be a nun as a thank you for varka for giving her another chance even though she hates it.

about the leaf on Sayu. Tanuki are known for their transformations using leaves. Tanukis in Animal Crossing should give you shallow level of insight as to what they can do. Also Sayu's 16 and is born short in stature. Not her fault just genetics.

Honestly, same! I didn’t expect my mom to get everything about Rosaria just from her eyes alone!

- I think the story you told about Kokomi was kinda opposite from what she actually is. You told that she is the general of the army she does it even tho she doesn't want to, but I think she is actually want to be some kind of a military general but she has to hold the title of the Divine Priestess even tho she doesn't want to.
- Too bad that you skip some interesting detail that I would want to see your mom's reaction like Hu Tao being the director of Funeral Parlor and Ganyu working as the secretary of Liyue for 3700 years.
- If you want to make another mom's reaction. I would love to see her reaction character trailers.
A quick explanation regarding Hu Tao:
We did go through Hu Tao, even explained the fact that she has a role where she aids people move on to the afterlife. The thing is, at the time of recording the video, we just came back from a funeral and when it came time to talk about Hu Tao, things became noticeably awkward. I cut the footage because it felt like an uncomfortable subject.

As someone who work with art, I can tell she was so accurate most of the time, for someone who don't know genshin or familiar with any of these content. I can understand why she told razor is racoon, b.c of his outfit lol and about zhongli, she was so sharp to realize, b.c his clothing design did base on/related to dragon. Most of the time during the video, there is nothing to be made fun of or laugh about, you can only respect her and her professional career. (Pardon my English)
