      They probably have a lifetime warranty.. if they were down to the bone they wouldn't give him new ones...

    Little hint, turn your wheels to access the bolts easier.

    You only remove bottom screw and flip clipper up. Much easier

    If you are doing all of this you might as well grease the slider pins.

    Thanks for posting the video. I watched this then did my girlfriend's front brakes. Garage wanted $300 cdn. It didn't need rotors. I am in eastern Canada so the calipers are a bit rustier here and not so easy to snap the new clips in. Had to clean the rust off the calipers first. I had to take out the slider pins and clean them off and put new lube on them too. Road salt is the killer up here. I had to buy my own ice cream though. Cheers!

    Where can I find information about how much torque to tighten the bolts in the vehicle for my 2019 Honda Civic fk7? It is not written in the user manual, I would be glad if you can help me

    Hi bro, I am planning to replace the pads on my 17 civic and glad to see your suggestions. Please confirm that only the rear pads replacement required to reset the EPB actuator, right? Do the front wheel pads replacement would also need the Honda scan tool for any purpose? Because my local dealers are expensive, for safety reason I may let them do my rear pads, and I will find a repair shop to do the front which can save me some money, if the front are not connecting to any sensitive equipments like EPB or something😢

    • @ayushs6812
      @ayushs6812 Год назад

      This might be late but any reputable shop should be able to deal with the EPB actuator. You don’t got to go to Honda.

    How many miles did this car have when you changed the brake pads and brake disc? The pads look good but the discs are in bad condition so I was wondering.

    Why replace pads that are barely worn? If so, what are the torque specs for the caliper bolts, did you just put ‘em “tight” lol? For the wheels? Doing brake jobs is not always difficult but there is a lot more at stake if it goes south. Do it right.

    To compress the piston back in, with only 1 set of hands, i use a big adjustable wrench (with the "dislocating" lower jaw). One hand holds the part, the other squeezes the wrench. Easy.
    That c-clamp you got going looks like hell to use

  • @icyhotonmynuts
    @icyhotonmynuts 4 месяца назад

    After changing your brake pads, you actually should be taking it easy on the braking so it wears evenly. Braking suddenly is not a good idea to "test them out".
