Looked at buying one of these instead of a gas one (not the best with tech stuff/maintaining gas rifs) but was told not too by several techs with issues in the version 2 one.
I personally have fixed and upgraded a few. They arnt bad and the parts that DO break can be upgraded and made to last alot longer. The weak points being the tappet plate, mosfet, and the empy mag feature. Which all can be remedied or upgraded.
Just so you know you are my number 1 place fro answers now. So my man i had a critical failure of the outer barrel at the threading. i can see in teh break where there looks like weak spots in teh steal.. I have alreadsy made my modifications to the gear box, and am looking just to replace the outer barrel. SO wiht that said, i have looked everywhere, and i am sure you are aware the parts are few and far between. I am waiting on a call from Umarex on getting the OEM, but the rep was not sure they even have the parts. Long story short (too late) the GBB outerbarel, is there way to make that fit?

@@wyshtechairsoftwhat are the number 1 problems for the MP7? Im thinking of buying it aswell the metal tappet plate, should i change the bucking into a maple leaf bucking?
@Foxtrot Make sure to get the Gen2. Most main issues are addressed on the 2nd gen. I definitely recommend upgrading to the bullgear metal tappet plate, by-passing the mag cut-off, installing a maple leaf mrhop, and checking the shimming in the gearbox.
@@wyshtechairsoft sorry to bother u again would this upgrades make the MP7 last 3billion games or nah? And the bucking maple lead mrhop 70, 60 or higher? And can this set up be use for full auto?

We would love to work on your MP7. In fact, in the MP7 in the video, we installed a Perun Mosfet AB++. Go to our website, wyshtech.com, and fill out the contact form with details on what work you want done.
Hey thanks for this! So I have gone through 4 of these under rma, because of the tapper plate issue. I have a bull gear ready to insert. But since I have it open I was thinking of upgrading the piston head and I was thinking about a brushless motor, do you have any advice for what motor will work? I had the same question about inner barrels, I was going to go longer, and use the length of the tracer/suppressor. Thanks!
I dont have any advice on what brushless motor to go with. But! Definitely upgrade the piston head to whatever your favorite is. Stock isnt all that great imo. As far as inmer barrels go, go with whatever length you need to achieve your fps consistency/efficiency through air volume ratio and what weight of bb you intend to dedicate the mp7 to. I prefer .32g in mine, which the ratio I find to be about 2.26 to 1. Which gets me the 1 to 2fps variance.
@@wyshtechairsoft based on the field i go to most frequently, my bb weight is a consistent .25. I was looking to add a 350mm barrel giving my enough room to still have the tracer unit in suppressor be effective. I have been reading that increasing the inner barrel will effect the fps because of the limited cylinder capacity, is this the case?
@tqesylverne9757 Yup, lengthing your barrel decreases your air volume ratio, which affects how well the mp7 will shoot specific weight bbs. A good rule of thumb is to shorten the barrel if you want to use heavier bbs. Lengthen the barrel if you want to use lighter bbs. Going longer will make your mp7 run out of air before the bb exits the barrel. Which will cause a vacuum effect, and your fps will drop. My suggestion is go oem length and go with a tighter barrel which will increase your fps on .25g bbs.

@@wyshtechairsoft I’m in the UK so could be due to part availability over here. I know one lad who has one and no one will touch it
@anthonywood9632 Its usually the tappet plate that breaks on these. Bullgear makes an aluminum one that works great.
