Excellent overview, full of useful information, succinctly and efficiently presented. And, I learned a lot and got some ideas! Thanks, and I wish you success with your channel.
Great episode 👏🏽 it’s gutting when you receive a broken pan pastel 😢 glad I am not the only one who is scared of backgrounds 😂 please can you maybe add starting a RUclips Chanel to your list for possible podcasts 😀 xx
Thanks Suzanne! Yes, this is a great suggestion for an episode 😁 and yes I agree, it’s heartbreaking when the pan pastel arrives all crushed, especially when it goes absolutely everywhere 😂
Thanks for another excellent podcast Becca. I had a set of pan pastels for Christmas and I don’t use them enough, but last week, I was doing a commission of a hamster in a plant pot and had a lightbulb moment to use the pan pastels to cover the base of the plant pot and I then went over it with coloured pencils; it turned out really well! I’ve tried drafting paper and just can’t get used to it, although I haven’t given up completely yet. It really is very different to using paper isn’t it?! Anyway, thanks again and looking forward to the next one ❤
I love your videos so much, sooo helpful. Can I please ask, how do you cut your paper down to exact size please? I’ve bought the big sheets from Jackson’s before but always seem to butcher it when I cut it to size 😅. Thank you again, love your work 😊
Hi Becca, thank you for sharing your videos, love them all. I have a quick question about the type of printer paper you use - we have just purchased a Canon Pro 200 printer and not sure what printer paper to use for a good quality print, do you have any recommendations? Many thanks x
@@Kathy.Thorne hi Kathy! Thanks for watching 🥰 I use the Hahnemuhle Smooth Photo Rag. It’s quite expensive. I recommend going onto the cannon website and ordering a sample pack of paper, I’m sure it was around £20-£30, and you can try around 12 different paper surfaces to try out, all of which are perfectly suited to the Canon Printer. That might help you decide 😊 xx
Hi Becca, nice videos! Would you say the Slice knife is better than a regular craft knife? I just tested a metal craft knife, and I feel like it's difficult to get highlights with it.
@@yuleassagai1684 oh yes for sure! You feel like you have way more control and having one part of the ceramic blade that’s pointy and the other part that’s slightly curved, means you can create some lovely lines within a drawing. Works perfectly for fur!
I haven't used PanPastel's before, do you use them on the Fabriano paper? I use Arches HP but it's more of a cream colour so I'm looking for an alternative. I have the same printer for selling my work, the inks are so expensive! Have you seen the Joby griptight pro 2 and Joby Wavo arm as an alternative to a tripod? I don't think you mentioned what you use to film your podcasts and tutorials with, I presume it's a phone?
Thank you Becca ❤ love this video so informative 👏 😊
