So I fought through a bush to what I thought was Littleton Road but it was actually Broughton Road playing fields 🌳🤣 WE WILL BE BACK… Hope you enjoyed this one peeps 👉🏾 would love for United to open this up and offer public tours for more reds to enjoy 🥳👍🏾 Don’t believe what you read in the papers, everywhere open to the public is in well maintained condition and I LOVE the fact the old building has been preserved to retain that feel of what was an incredible time for Manchester United ❤️⚽️
Hi there, l like to say l am a manchester united employee and l have the honour of working at the cliff on a regular bases, and l am the one who looking after and keeping things in a good state in the old building that's official! 👌
You sir are a legend and I think it needs to be put out there publicly all the good surrounding United facilities etc & show people the truth as opposed to the media’s negative spin 😊
It's my pleasure mate, if get a chance again to come to the cliff again at some point l will give you a tour in the old building and also show you around Littleton Road where they use to train as well the field that you was on was Boughton playing fields. If you have a email address send to me cheers Michael 👍
Thank you for your service Michael! Used to get to play on there sometimes as a kid when Fergie allowed us on. Got so many autographs at The Cliff it's unreal. Won't say who or where but some United lads literally had to nip over the road to get to training. I miss the days when we were a proper local club.
@@Maradonaldinho thanks for sharing your memories of the cliff, it just a real honour and privilege to be working there l have to pinch myself sometimes.😁
Played there 16th February 1973 v Manchester City…lancs league div1…frozen ground. We won 4-3. Ian storey moore and Arnie Sidebottom also played. Happy days. Frank o’farrell the main man. Great memories.
The cliff back then was probably still one of the best training facilities in England. It’s all relative. Facilities have improved since as has technology
My eldest son Refs for Man Utd Academy on a regular basis so hes constantly between The Cliff, Littleton Road and Carrington. The Cliff is a great little facility for the Academy teams, it is dated but they keep the place in great shape and it still carries the prestige and history of Uniteds success. Great place, staff are always super nice and helpful too 🙏
Legendary training ground.. Take that you Man City Sods.. this is where Man Utd created the football dynasty from Sir Matt Busby to Sir Alex Ferguson. Fan from Singapore
Really hope they preserve this training ground and the facilities. Not kidding, they could do tours, just like they do at Old Trafford. Hope you read this Sir Jim!!
Imagine the footballing legends who have walked through that main entrance Ry, United and visitors playing for their A and B teams. Used to spend loads of time there in the 70’s when you could just watch, mingle and chat with your idols never an issue! Cadge the odd shirt here and there it was a wonderful place. Then early 90’s it changed when they stopped fans coming in, and put the barriers up between fans and players. Never understood that
As a united fan myself the cliff looks okay. Im a big man city fan as well and their facilities are great but not as legendary as the cliff. Im also a big Liverpool fan and i can say the facilities at Liverpool are good but not great. I am also a big Leeds United fan and i can say that Leeds facilites are decent but thats just it. And finally as an Arsenal fan i can say the cliff is definitely in better condition that Highbury
Broughton playing fields is where I played for my old school back in the 80s for the Manchester United memorial trophy was like the fa cup for Salford schools. We won and went to the cliff and got our medals from the united team in the changing rooms after they had trained great day.
The lads today could do with spending this summer there. No phones, not social media, no assistants. Just tough training for next season. About time some of them learn how lucky they are to wear the shirt.
Mate, you were in the wrong place for the Littleton Road pitches. You needed to go to actual Littleton Rd in Salford where they have a youth facility off Ayrshire Road
I saw that Cliff sign outside those fields so just put 2 and 2 together and got 5 🙈 what’s the name of those fields I fought my way through those hedges for? 😅 🌳
@@RysFootyParadise if you look on Google maps for Ayrshire Road, which is just off Littleton Road, you’ll see the Man Utd Academy pitches. I think that’s where some of the interviews were held. I’m sure Gary Neville says “here at Littleton Road”. They’ve been there for years. I went to a Bobby Charlton football school there in the early 80’s. The river is at the back of them so might be what you see in the background of the Sir Alex photo you showed. Great video by the way 👍
