Spot on Adam, I love all these cossie too but the prices are ridiculous. I really want one but now Personally thinking id rather a more modern weapon that is more comfortable quicker and not worried everytime I drive it as their almost irreplaceable. World's give mad!

The suggestion of any “normal” car being an investment is crazy, even those that have increased in value rarely put money in the owners pocket when they consider all ownership costs and inflation. Then there’s cars that have hardly been used, are they really a car, I don’t think so. My RS has gone up in value, but it still owes me money!

I've just put a Cosworth sticker on my 2006 mk2 Ford Focus 2.0 Ghia estate and put it up sale at £160,000 🙄
I can remember when you could pick a well used cossie up for very little money.
Years ago I turned down a tatty xr3i for £500, you could pick up.a tidy one for between £800 and £1k.

They’re chancers, because someone’s minter went for £20,000, they all think theirs is worth it too. Used to be my favourite car of all time, now I hate them purely because of the made up market. The prices for good Porsches are going up rapidly. I bought my 83sc with complete black interior and rustfree for 30k euro 4years ago. If i would sell it now i would see 40-45k euro. But keeping it and if it go up a little more i’m going to try and swap it for a moonstone blue sierra 3dr cosworth. Would be nice to have one next to the escos.

I love cosworth’s but they aren’t worth the money people are asking for them these days. People seeing that RS500 selling for the amount it did then thinking theirs is worth the earth 😂 that car had 5,000 miles. I honestly think the prices of fast fords will crash soon. People simply don’t have that sort of spare cash in this climate

People have been saying the exact same think for the last 10 years mate , it hasn't happened and wont happen , many wealthy people invest in old fords now and this alone protects there values

Its so sad that Cosworths are now priced WELL outside their initial sales markets price range. They USED to be true Working Class supercars/heros, today they are increasingly a rich c£$ts ornament. They dont buy Cosworths to enjoy, to drive or to race, instead just to own, to be part of their collection. Either that or some scumbag speculator/scalper tucking away a car they have zero interest or respect of in the hope that prices rise. So increasing numbers of beloved Sierra and Escort Cosworths will no longer see the light of day, instead sitting untouched, unused in air conditioned warehouses.

You've got to let the bubble burst over the next few years, people offloading their hobbies to keep their homes etc due to the interest rate changes, 2024 is the year for bargains i suspect

Overpriced or peaking in price. As their fans like me age and die the price will fall. Most kids today don't know or want a cosworth.
