glad i came ,i am searched NDI with UE4 everywhere, but i can not find it,i wondered if nobody use NDI HX camera with studio monitor for realtime comp only a iphone and a computer, thanks for sharing.will i ask some question if i met troubles?
Awesome tutorial! I'm curious if we can build a VR live stream application for example Oculus(Android OS) with NDI Unreal Engine 4 plugin? It seems that the plugin needs Windows Runtime.
I keep following the tutorials but i get a black screen instead. I checked around and changing the video track index but still pops one frame and goes back to black. Any idea?
Would this work for a first person virtual production? A sort of virtual version of your workstation and your arms? For example, could I use mocap gloves to draw on a real iPad, then stream the iPad screen and mocap data to simulate a 3D hand drawing on a virtual iPad in real-time? That way I don’t need to set up a real world recording studio, but could simulate and stream the data in Unreal using custom hand and pencil meshes? The real question is, how do I track the iPad pencil so that it interacts with the virtual hand and virtual iPad screen without lag!??
Bradley Austin also with this method it seems that I will be able to get Sony camera footage into unreal without capture card. By using Sony Remote you can get the footage in as display but Unreal can’t detect it. Will give it a go.
Hi Brad Austin!!! can you make this project available for download so we can use these blueprint codes... I would be grateful I'm looking to do something like this... in a project
This stuff is probably a bit out of date now! Grab the unreal project from the NDI website/SDK, they have scenes and blueprints all set up to demo all working inputs and outputs.
@@Brad360 !!! I'm not finding this part on their website specifically ... that's why I asked if it would be possible to provide the blueprint code or the project ... so that I can develop ... and if so, update the code ... easier ... for me ... I'm already grateful ... friend Brad Austin!!!
Wow this was great!! I have been doing live stream with DJs for the past couple months and was thinking I was going to need a second capture card to get our live VJ as an input but this will work great. Also would be curious as to how you split the video and what that blueprint looks like. Thank you
For splitting the video I use a SubUV node in the material. This is also used for things like splitting texture/sprite sheets into separate materials/textures. For example: forums.unrealengine.com/development-discussion/rendering/93002-random-subuv-material-for-instanced-meshes
In the install directory, for me it was C:\Program Files\NewTek\NDI SDK for Unreal Engine\NDIExamples There is also some useful documentation and quickstart guides in the previous folder.
Not tried in any other versions. But the SDK currently on their website supports 4.25 and 4.26 (even though it says 4.26 on the web page, when you install it it says both - and their provided exmaple project is in 4.25)
like you got to upload from server side graphics to client end. so the client end would need the flight cam to bascially (lets say you online characters move)

What a genius Brad is.
Amazing Video. Why my Unreal can't detect snap camera or webcam?

im getting the same. Do tell me if you find a solution.
Great video was thinking of doing a virtual studio for my game stream
Your giant face in the intro is funny lol. :)
Great tutorial, is that possible to import external URLs, so I can show a livestream directly in the executable?
I can't get the video feed from my webcam. Only shows black screen. Using Logitech C270 works fine otherwise.
same here

for snap camera do you have to update any snapchat inputs in unreal? beause camera works for snap camera doesn't
If you download the app EPOC cam you can use your iPhone as a webcam in unreal engine.
Nice one. For Android users DroidCam does the same thing.

Hey mate, I am searching for solution to get the Microphone as an Input in Ue4 got any idea?
Awesome, can you tell me how can i control NDIBroadcasterActor with player movement?
Unreal doens’t recognise my camera, what can i do?

Also I would suggest trying Blackmagic ATEM mini pro. Get 4 external video sources to switch though for one media display.
