The US has a really deep pool. I think Hayes was right she could field two full teams that would be competitive. That's scary. A lot of interesting options. Throw in a fit Macario. Dear God.
Hello Claire. Happy Halloween. Girma is great, but my spell check wants to call her Grime, which seems like the opposite of her recent performances for your country.
Okay, new to soccer, I'll admit. I want to learn, so PLEASE be kind.💛 WHAT the Heck was our Center Back doing in front of Argentina's Goal? Why was GIRMA in a position to Score TWICE (Both Headers!)!!!? Wow, just WOW! 🌹🌹🌹
Both goals were scored on 'set pieces', which is when the team in possession gets a free kick, meaning the kicker gets to strike the ball at rest with no opposing players nearby. If the free kick takes place within the 'attacking third', that is, in the third of the field closest to the opponent's net, it's common for defenders, like center backs, to come forward and provide extra bodies inside the 18-yard box. After the free kick is taken, if a goal is not scored, you'll normally see those defenders quickly running back to their usual positions.
🤔...what are you talking about the first centerback to score a brace since the 90s? Tierna Davidson did it literally a few months ago

@@michaelt6218 INCREDIBLE. Never thought I'd see the like. Thanks MUCH for the thorough, straightforward explanation. Cheers!
