Great job, just like all the others I've seen. Looking at the top of the case it looks like cola was spilt on it and then the sticky goey mess is most likely the dryed, heated and caramelised remains from the drink. I've seen Pepsi that's been spilt and left on a surface that gets hot and it looked a lot like the mess on that board as it concealed up into several dark brown sticky squishy blobs.

Hey why is your Xbox boot logo black & white?! I've NEVER seen that before, is it a custom boot logo? Can you use custom boot logos? Like when you format/partition a fresh hard drive and Install OSU1 sometimes you have to manually put the boot screen onto the hard drive, could u just use your own custom boot screen?
Every last one of these repairs ends up replacing a MOSFET, however all three of mine are reading .66 v on the diode and my PSU is reading 11.93 on all rails, but all i get is a beep, what other things could it be? No short on any rail

is my APU cooked I have no shorts on the 12v rail but the Xbox turns on getting a fan spin then when you turn it on the Xbox beeps light comes on then off

What size screwdriver do you use to unscrew the little black and silver screws??? That’s the only tool I’m missing that I need to buy. Thank you
The little black screws are Torx T8, and all the rest are Torx T10 :)

If the problem is the CPU a reflow wouldn’t fix the problem right?
No unfortunately reflowing very rarely works on xbox one systems because most of the cpu issues stem from liquid damage and causing too much voltage going to the cpu
can you remove a mosfet without a heat gun?
Hi! I was curious if you could try to make a video of the launch style Xbox one with no power and attempt to repair. I could not find one on your channel not others channels. I have two fat launch Xbox ones with no power. One slightly makes some sort of noise but it is not the noise you get when you turn on. The other gets nothing. C9E6, C9D11, C9D6, and C9D1 are all all shorted on the power rail. Really want to attempt to fix them but I don’t know how to narrow it down to what’s wrong on the older Xbox one consoles

Great video! I have an xbox one s that does a beep on/off (after 3 seconds). The mobo is absolutely clean. The mobo is very new and no visible damage and no shorts on the 12v rail. Power supply is good, and all mosfets are golden. I'm leaning toward the APU being the issue here. What do you do to feel confident that the APU needs a reball? I appreciate your assistance mate. It very well could be the APU by the sound of it, but generally I check for all power rails before deciding it's probably the APU (using the test points on the board). To be honest though unless there's damage to the APU balls it's unlikely a reball is going to do anything. The Xbox doesn't really suffer with the same issues as the PS4 does and generally reballing doesn't help

Can you explain alcohol test on mosfet chips
It's done to find a shorted component. The alcohol will evaporate quickly on the component that gets hot.
What is your using to give 12v to the board to test it?
I use a bench power supply (cheap Chinese brand) and a custom cable I made from a broken xbox power supply :)
I could see the dark liquid in all the dimples in the top of the case before you even opened it, then when you did I could see the splatter on the fan, looks like coke?
I'm not sure what it was to be honest, I say either coke, coffee or a melted chocolate bar lol

I would have cleaned the casing of coffe in the holes. OSD is killing me on this one.
The problem with that is the customer has to pay more if I sit there for 30 minutes scrubbing the outer case, at my prices I can't afford to spend an extra 30 minutes on every console lol
@@TheCod3r i just use the warm shower on stuff like this. Pc air filters aswell. Just rinse in warm shower. Its instant. The pressure of the shower head acts like a brush. Give it a go sometimes.

What if the Xbox one s turns on fans goes fast then it turns off ?
That sounds like it's just overheating mate and needs a clean, or it may be that it has been taken apart and not reassembled correctly. Once the heatsink comes off it would also need the thermal paste replacing
