Nice set and dope skills, BUT why NO weights on the tonearms? ^^
DJ Strategy I read that those were Pioneer turntables so maybe they did away with the counterweights. Possible new design? I don't know for sure.
J. Morales - I have used the Pioneer PLX-1000s and they normally have counterweights just like the 1200s, Numarks, Stantons, etc..
DJ Strategy Interesting. Maybe removing the weight reduces the inertia at the needle reducing the probability that it'll skip. It would interesting to try on any turntable and see what kind of difference it makes.
J. Morales If you remove the back weights on Technic 1200's then all the weight will be on the front of the tone arm causing the the needle to press down into the record, wouldn't work.
mysterymediacorp I'm not sure what you mean when you say it wouldn't work. If the weight remains at the needle pressing into the record, what wouldn't work?
