I'm so blown back this last week. First, experiencing Cleetus and Cars in Indy, then seeing this right after the SME engine.. The amount of growth made in such a short amount of time. So proud of Garrett and the team, and cannot wait to see these cars back and better than ever. Had to pick up some new merch, crossing my fingers that a turbo is in there.
Definitely shed a couple tears on this one. The back end of Leroy brings back a lot of memories on the channel from the burnouts to the trailer hitch to the crazy squats off the line. 😢
We wanna see Fab Rats, Matt's Off-road Recovery, and Robbie Layton in the Crown Vic race. These three RUclips channels have massive followings and they are experienced in racing. I reckon these Utah RUclipsrs would give you Florida men a run for your money.
Gotta say, I'm kinda with them... At what point do you stop calling it the same thing as it came from the factory as, when so little remains? At this point there is 3/4 of a chassis and part of the tub, rest is custom. But not being a corvette doesn't have to be bad.. It's something better based on a vette My Grandfather built and raced his own car back in the 40's/50's, based on a Jag for much of it, But I dare a man to call it anything but the "Litzer special" to his face.. Bring back the specials IMO To me I've never really thought of it as a vette, It's just Leeroy, doing Leeroy things, who cares where he started, we wanna see where he goin (Feels weird to call a car him in writing, but also weird to call Leroy it)
@@robbygray9562 Yeah that's right, we're building a car at the moment and toyed with the idea of sticking with stock suspension but we thought we may as well just go full tube chassis and 4-link from the get-go to avoid having to pull the car apart later on and spend even more money then. Time and money save just 4-linking from the start.
We don’t really care about leroy being a corvette or chopped to hell. I feel like it’s about the story of the car and the builds it goes through that makes it such a great car
yeah i miss the leroy content was an exciting time but you can't just churn the same stuff out so i get it. I do like how slowly everyones getting a pretty sick ride for everything. Becoming a content machine!
Ya know, after all these years (and yes I go back BEFORE LeRoy’s Epic Pass). I always thought that you were gonna do this. I always thought that would be the natural progression for LeRoy. As fast as you two got, I just knew after, “The Pass”, you were gonna do it! It awesome to see that dream come true! LeRoy is gonna SLAY with a solid rear! With the relationships you have developed with Motion, Texas Speed and countless others, you and LeRoy are gonna fall in love again!!! And that Brother is awesome! WELCOME BACK LEROY!!!
Poor Leroy is feeling violated right now. Hang in there pal, once it’s all done you’ll be going faster than you have ever gone. Ole Cleeter and crew is going to take good care of you.
I’ve been watchin cleet since before Leroy when he was puttin turbo whistles in his c7 exhaust and shoving rags in the exhaust to see if more air would come out the other exhaust pipes and man its wild how far this guy has come since then just mind blowing.
Totally love the Leroy reboot! Can’t say I wasn’t emotional though… you guys have got a great lineup of projects right now. Watching Tye work makes me weak at the knees.
Please give that rear frame a place of honor. You are right, if you had not bought Leroy because that was bent, your channel might well be hugely different. I remember once (back when you were in the same shop as Jeremy) that you commented that many people probably came to the channel because the thumbnail had a crazy-looking car in it with turbos sticking up like bull horns. I was probably one of those people many years ago
Man, who’d have thought I’d be watching Leroy from you rolling him out of the garage with tires on him at the beginning to now with everything accomplished and a brand new plan. Been some good years. Thanks for the content. Cheers from OZ
I've always associated you with Leroy, and when Leroy disappeared for awhile I wondered, what's happened. I'm glad now that Leroy is getting a new look and will be better for it. Mullet is great but Leroy I think is sort of foundational and is got to be kept functional. My thoughts. Awesome Cleetus and gang.
Even "stock cars" aren't stock and are nothing like the cars that served for homologation purposes. In the end, Leroy is a race car and you have to do what is needed to win and as long as the VIN says it's a corvette then it's a corvette.
Hell yeah brother. Trucker Pete from Ireland. Hi its been a real tough coupla weeks but im over them now..... and theres nothing better than sittin down to watch a bit of old Cleter McFarland with a beer in my hand. Honestly its satisfying. As we say over here.... keep er lit.
I love how you acknowledge when you’re idiots… I don’t know about everyone else, but I can’t help but smile anyways. Looks like fun. Benign idiocy is always the best fun. 🤣
This is really exciting. When I started watching this channel it was trying to get Leroy into the 8s and i was instantly hooked. I remember when u had to drain the water out of the block to get the fastest stick shift record and then it was win after win. Now thay everything has gotten so fast its time time the big upgrades. James is right when he says it needs it if Leroy doesn't want to get stuck in the rafters. Keep up the great work.
The first video I saw of Leroy was because of Hoonigans burnout pad at ls fest, back when you were trying to make Leroy the fastest stick shift. Many years have passed since then ty for all the great content!
Awesome to finally see leroy with a square rear end. I remember asking years ago when you were going to repair the rear rails. No need to fix it when you start new. Awesome work
For God’s sake, after getting LeRoy back together and fitting whatever engine into him, go to a dry sump system. You get MUCH better oiling to the entire engine, without dealing with all of the foibles that come with a sump.
This. Yes. Manual cars this fast really could use a dry sump. There’s so much weight shift and trauma occurring in those shifts, oil is going all over the place
@@4funner66 Yeah Hunter, it’s going everywhere except the crank. Eliminate the pickup tube and pump it directly to where it’s needed with higher oil pressure and running cooler, there is no pan depth to work around your crossmember. It’s a win, win, win.
You should cut up the rear frame from Leroy and sign them all. End up selling them on the website, similar to what JH did with the mud truck bed sides. I bet there's a lot of people that would love to have a piece of the first stick shift vette to run a 7 sec quarter mile. Can't wait to see more progress on Leroy!
Are you going to up the Cage Cert as well since it's almost gonna be a full rebuild from the Hoop back? Because I can see Leroy touch 7.2 with the right setup with Mullet's fast forward engine
If they put Mullets engine in this thing I wouldn't be surprised to see it touch 6s. That engine would probably actually live in Leroy, has to be a good 1,000 to 1,500 pounds lighter.
man, i've been watching you since my freshman year of college, in 2017, and Leroy is what got me hooked. I love watching Leroy and even hurt me seeing him get cut up. Thanks for all the content over the years, we appreciate you man.

It would only take a couple extra bars...hmm.
Ty has the ability to see the finished product before he makes his first cut, that’s why he is an awesome fabricator!
As a police officer, I found the chase to be pretty awesome. Almost like George knew what he was doing 🤣🤣🤣
As a bullshit detector I call bullshit on you being police...
He definitely looked like he had some prior experience there 😂😂😂
He is a Florida man after all….lol
@@Andrewlang90 George is a native North Carolinian. Like a diet Florida man 😂
""Allegedly""
We wanna see Fab Rats, Matt's Off-road Recovery, and Robbie Layton in the Crown Vic race. These three RUclips channels have massive followings and they are experienced in racing. I reckon these Utah RUclipsrs would give you Florida men a run for your money.
Hell Yeah Brother!! I second that! These three guys would make me buy the ppv for sure!
I like and watch these guys, but can’t forgive Matt’s crew for not knowing what “Do it for Dale” meant when a customer said it to them.
No we dont
Matt will probably be in jail, no racing for him
Not usually a good idea to put a bunch of derby guys in crown vics they kinda blackout and start trying to junk each other
I gotta be honest seeing LEEROY THE SAVAGE get the love he deserves made my day, by far my favorite car in the whole dang fleet!!!
The “not a corvette” guys are gonna come swinging again now hahaha. Glad to see ya stepping up to keep up
Gotta say, I'm kinda with them... At what point do you stop calling it the same thing as it came from the factory as, when so little remains?
At this point there is 3/4 of a chassis and part of the tub, rest is custom.
But not being a corvette doesn't have to be bad..
It's something better based on a vette
My Grandfather built and raced his own car back in the 40's/50's, based on a Jag for much of it, But I dare a man to call it anything but the "Litzer special" to his face..
Bring back the specials IMO
To me I've never really thought of it as a vette, It's just Leeroy, doing Leeroy things, who cares where he started, we wanna see where he goin
(Feels weird to call a car him in writing, but also weird to call Leroy it)
Very few of the top end drag cars are the cars they started as. They are a drag car with a particular body on top.
You think the camaros and mustangs are stock suspension? Lol no they are 4 link. Stock suspension only gets you so far.
@@robbygray9562 you didnt actually read it did you?
4:13 oh man that clips is SO funny. I play golf and I always whip out that one when I quaff one lol "SOMETIMES MAYBE GOOD SOMETIMES MAYBE SHITE!"
Leroy is what attracted me to this channel and I am so glad that you are finally giving him some love and attention he so justly deserves.
Not only does Ty need a raise but every single employee you have sir. This team is amazing
10% to the big guy
Pretty sure Cleeter pays them pretty well as it is.
I've been loving the last few video. It feels like the old school videos seeing LeRoy and all the time lapses.
It ain’t even the same car almost
Need an ep dedicated to Leroy and Ty fabrimacating the rear end and all the linkages. Hyped!
Jackstand was a vital part in pushing forward. Ty is also class. Plus the other lads. All the best. Looking forward to the big block in the el camino.
You upped the nitrous set up to pyro and trusted jackstand to not accidentally set you on fire. Lmao thats some trust right there.
Poor Leroy is feeling violated right now. Hang in there pal, once it’s all done you’ll be going faster than you have ever gone. Ole Cleeter and crew is going to take good care of you.
Ty is really making the magic happen! These are some serious changes.
I have been SO happy with the addition of Ty to the team. Being able to watch and understand all the custom fab he does, is so damn cool.
Yes. Most youtubers take themselves too seriously.
Just wait till they hit beten idiocy. That's when the real fun starts.
Yep, just because you have serious cars, it doesn't mean you can't have serious fun.
One of my favorite parts of Cleetus' is how humble he is. Always crack up when he lets off with a "I'm such an idiot"
Way to go Cleetus. Would you ask Paul of Fab Rats to be a driver in Bristol Race?
This is really exciting. When I started watching this channel it was trying to get Leroy into the 8s and i was instantly hooked. I remember when u had to drain the water out of the block to get the fastest stick shift record and then it was win after win. Now thay everything has gotten so fast its time time the big upgrades. James is right when he says it needs it if Leroy doesn't want to get stuck in the rafters. Keep up the great work.
I have never been more excited for Leroys return!
Love watching Ty fab videos! Can't wait to see what Leroy becomes
The first video I saw of Leroy was because of Hoonigans burnout pad at ls fest, back when you were trying to make Leroy the fastest stick shift. Many years have passed since then ty for all the great content!
im extremely happy to see leroy the savage come back. hes by far gotta be my favorite but i love mullet as well. HELL YEA BROTHER!!
George: “Flashbacks…”. Lmao. The skit you and George did was hilarious and awesome! I love those little things you guys do…
Man the Cleetus crew needs to get Ty a race car for all this mans effort on the channel. Love to see him behind the wheel
…and a little something for Sam to run too!
I love that Leroy is gonna make a serious comeback! Hell Yeah Brother!!
Your so lucky to have ty! Seems like a humble dude and he's an unreal fabricator
Been here since before leroy was a thing, so pumped!!!
What you want, a medal or something???
@@BariLopesh no
we better be getting a full build series on leroys back end!!!
Awesome to finally see leroy with a square rear end. I remember asking years ago when you were going to repair the rear rails. No need to fix it when you start new. Awesome work
For God’s sake, after getting LeRoy back together and fitting whatever engine into him, go to a dry sump system. You get MUCH better oiling to the entire engine, without dealing with all of the foibles that come with a
sump.
This.
That story about Leroy was crazy scary. A world without Leroy, and Cleetus together is no world I want to live in.
Ik
😀
😂
Glad to see Leroy getting some much needed work ....been watching Leroy from the beginning. Can't wait to see when finished
Fastest click ever! Most entertaining channel on the RUclipss
Totally agree
100%
☝️💯
I just smile the entire time I watch you guys!!!!
Leroys current engine is capable of 7.20s. Leroys is alot lighter than Mullet.
Pretty sure that's one of the goals.
Maddy: "So what did you do at work?"
Cleetus: "James was playing with a flame thrower and we chopped my car in half"
Awesome to see the car that blew this channel up getting some changes and love 🦅
man, i've been watching you since my freshman year of college, in 2017, and Leroy is what got me hooked. I love watching Leroy and even hurt me seeing him get cut up. Thanks for all the content over the years, we appreciate you man.
I’ve been watching since before the duck calls, old stuff was the best stuff.
