Congratulations on the baby, we were at your cafe a couple of weeks ago but we came late afternoon, we didn't get much of a chance to talk to you because you and Maybelle had to go off. At the time my wife said, " I think Maybelle is going home for a rest, I think she's pregnant". I laughed, but how right she was. However, Maybelle wasn't going home for a rest, the two of you came back about half an hour later with a whole lot of supplies.

If you are including electric in your pricing for the Airbnb i would strongly suggest you fit some sort of control system to prevent tenants leaving the aircon etc. running when they go out, similar perhaps to the thing some hotels do in their rooms. Otgerwise you could end up with un necessarily large electric bills which will only cut into your profits.

Just had a look at the BNB! It looks lovely. I never have transport so always booking on BOLT or inDrive. But for those that have transport it would beautiful. And breakfast is a great touch. Well done. I’m still on a high with baby news. Can’t wait to get back to Maybelles again.
The airfare now seems to be same as pre covid (london - bkk), which is good news. Re. Airbnb. You may wish to consider airport pickup with SIM card, motorbike /car rent[ at a charge ]

Congrats on your baby news ,I have 2 grandchildren that are halfThai , a boy and a girl and the mix of European and Thai make beautiful children and as your wife is gorgeous anyway can’t wait to see her .My husband and I have been watching since the beginning because I came to Phuket on holiday with my son and his Thai wife so I wanted him to see what it was like as he never wants to try other places it’s always Spanish holiday for for him we are retired now and I can see you two will do well in business good luck to you xxx

Love the AIRBNB idea , maybe you can low season price they do in Bali or Samui etc etc better to do 30% to 40% reduction and be busy than being empty on low season just thinking .....

I suggest getting a couple of used decent quality scooters that you could offer for 200 baht a day on a ad-hoc basis to your renters. Need a bike today? No problem, come on down to the shop and pickup the bike for 200 baht a day. No need for a high end bike, but a decent 125 cc for us errr... larger farangs would be good.
What about the yellow & red cards that is happening there in Phuket? Any backlash?
The bar idea is amazing. You need to do this asap as would drive a lot of business. Place to go for some English style beers also. Nice.

Is Grab available and safe?
Tons of motorbike taxis via grab or otherwise. Also grab taxis, regular taxis & Tuk Tuks. Also buses to/from major areas.

Maybelle, look at your pending childbirth this way: Trillions of former women have given succesful birth, you will be just another. God made women for this very task so keep healthy, exercise carefully for good circulation and blood flow, and when the time comes, just try to relax, b-r-e-a-t-h, and deliver your baby. Pain, frustration, noise-making, is all part of the process. When the baby is laid on your chest, you will sigh and be the happiest woman on earth in your own little part of the hospital. Then, your joy will just begin...(I helped my wife deliver four kids with Lamaze, mostly natural, and that's how it goes. Good Luck!)
