On my 13th birthday my mum handed me a small envelope and after carefully opening it inside was 2 tickets for the filming of this exact bottom live show. It was brilliant!!! I met both guys after the show and got them both to sign a copy of the joy of sex book I brought with me just in case. I'm sure heaven is a more fun and bonkers place with Rik there. 🙂
This is the best Bottom Live Show of them all, set in the home town of Hammersmith were the series was set and had the most best gags ever, plus this was the first live show I saw at Xmas 1995, I'm old school and love the British classics, Bottom is no.1 up there for me!
Rik Mayall is such a sport...Eddie always get the biggest cheer and he plays up to it as Eddie always arrives on stage 2nd. No Ego involved its just about putting on the best show
I remember seeing the live shows on VHS as a kid (way too young, but top parents) and always thinking to myself 'Man, I can't wait to actually see this live one day'. Still heart breaking that that day will never come. RIP Rik.
Pure comedy genius, their chemistry and comic timing is amazing. Rest in peace rik mayall, gone but certainly not forgotten. Watching bottom is the only time I laugh out loud, brilliant.
31.49 The Zippy moment is so funny. I could barely watch the rest of the show, kept bursting out laughing at that wonderful little bit of inspiration. These two were just so great together.
Makes me smile all these years later. Happy Times. I like to believe its viv and rik have aged and live together. Me and my brother watched these two together. Good Times. I feel me and my brother are still sat together watching this even though he is no longer here.
Absolutely hilarious RIP Rick mayall legend what a comedy duo Rick and Adrian were this is just brilliant a time where you could do whatever for a laugh no offence or anything wish comedy was still like this
I have never questioned before why at 0:17:11 they seem to have, for no reason, a very expensive looking, maybe jewel embelished crucifix considering Eddie and Ritchies circumstances. Just one more tiny gag on the pile, and another thing to love this show for

@@KaiserRikaIt's worth reading Ade's new autobiography. The circumstances surrounding the Hooligan's Island series were so sad and it wasn't Ade's fault.
Actually same except I was 10yr old girl 😅 my parents did "cut" a couple of particularly naughty bits (involving Monica lol and/or too many fucks) but the rest is pretty much cartoon violence isn't it lol
This being the second tour i think they were more comfortable as its more wordy and plot based with the slapstick as part of it, whereas the first tour was based more about the slapstick. The following tours flitted comfortably between the two ie plot and slapstick lol.
I remember watching this when i was 16, i fell off the chair laughing when he shot the parrot, rewinded it a bunch of times, i genuinely couldnt get up for at least ten minutes
Funny to watch this in 2023 when we don’t have a queen anymore since she past last September now we got a king so it’s nice to watch this and remember her
