Hard to pick a favorite Home Free song, but the one that grabs my heart the most is "How Great Thou Art". I lost my sweet Moma in March. I was her sole caretaker, and she was my best friend! She struggled the last few days, and that song kept her calm. We also could not have a "funeral" because of covid-19, but her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were there to send her ”HOME” and we played Home Free ”How Great Thou Art"!!! 🙏 Their version will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart!!!❤️
"How Great Thou Art". It is like being lifted up to heaven. A second would probably be "Everybody Walking This Land". AND thank you soooooooooo much for your prayers. Right back at ya.
"Go Rest High on the Mountain" is my favorite cover by Home Free. Makes me think of my dad and grandfather who both had incredible voices and now are singing in the greatest choir in Heaven. My favorite version of Amazing Grace is by Pentatonix. Though this is a close second. Also love hearing with a full Pipe and drums band like you hear when you have a funeral for a police officer who is buried with the full honors or the Scottish Tattoo in Edinburgh .

I think this is my favourite version of Amazing Grace because they include all the verses that are my favourites! The harmonies are incredible!!

My favorite of theirs is How Great Thou Art, with Amazing Grace a close second. These two songs do the most to change my mood.
The acapella community is very close, and when Peter 'features' other performers, he really lets them shine. None of these performers are selfish about who has lead, etc. Bravo to Peter, Home Free, VoicePlay, and all the groups that work together, instead of against each other.
Home Free's version of Amazing Grace is by far one of the best I've ever heard.... you may want to check out Il Divo's version of Amazing Grace.... they do a phenomenal job as an a capella group.... a close second to Home Free.

Favourite Home Free? There are so many, and it really depends on my mood and what I need to hear on any particular day. "Helplessly Hoping" is just so vocally pure, "How Great Thou Art" is just heavenly, and their funnier covers like "All About That Bass" and "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" always raise a laugh, but if there's one that I always seem to come back to no matter how I'm feeling it would be "Can't Stop The Feeling" :)

Hard to choose a favorite song from Home Free! All of them are FABULOUS! If I have to choose, I would say How Great Thou Art, Hillbilly Bone, Auld Lang Syne, and Misty Mountains, by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust. I LOVE anything where Tim sings lead! That bass just reverberates in my soul!

As for this cover of Amazing Grace, I have in my will that this song & in particular this version be played at my memorial service.

My favorite by them right now is their cover of "Helplessly Hoping" originally done by Crosby, Stills & Nash. Harmonies are absolutely incredible and it has my favorite member, Chance, on the lead!

That's probably the best version of Amazing Grace I have ever heard
Thanks GItana for thinking and praying for us - My wife had Covid-19 in the early stages of Feb2020 and I almost lost her - no meds were working and she was going downhill rapidly - in ICU 14 days but people were praying for her and her body seemed to finally turn around...
This particular cover from Peter and Home Free really bolstered my faith and kept me from giving up.
She's doing well and hopefully she has enough antibodies to ward off any further threats - I on the other hand have not had the slightest of any symptoms - wifey said my blood scared the sh_t out of Covid and it wouldn't even come close to me....LOL
Anyway thanks for the reaction and thanks for your prayers for the U.S. - we sure could use a bunch about right now....

My family knows when I am called home, prior to Taps (US Navy veteran) my last request is Amazing Grace played by a single bagpiper. This has caused me to at least reconsider this version.

This was the song that was sung for my wife and I at our wedding, during the ceremony. Wonderful song, but it is hard to listen to now that she is gone. So, I have to add some humor to the situation......A man has a dog called Mace, which he keeps in the house all the time, because all it does is eat grass. He also has a favorite tool, his wrench, which he uses all the time. One day He looses the wrench. He looks every where for it but can't find it. The dog gets out, eats all his grass and there in the middle of the lawn is his wrench. The man starts singing "A grazing Mace how sweet the hound, that saved a wrench for me." 😁

Favorites...probably "How great thou art". Also LOVE "in the Blood". "Leave this town" and "Castle on the Hill" are fantastic. "Auld Lang Syne" my be my favorite...but is pigeon holed as a New Years Song. "Meant to Be" (featuring Lisa Cimorelli) is a guilty pleasure...man I could go on and on!!
