    I think what Parfumes Vintage is doing is great. There was a huge opportunity available in the fragrance world, due to fragrance houses ripping of customers via “watered down batches” and reformulations. Parfumes Vintage stepped in and is trying to do the right thing by the consumer, not to mention for a relatively cheaper price. Kudos to Parfumes Vintage. Excellent video by the way.

      So true..especially the newer 1.7oz and 3.3oz bottles..Parfums vintage bring back that classic 4oz and 2.5oz creed smell that we miss and love. After mid 2017 creed went to trash and became watered down with a price hike and less juice.

    Parfums Vintage take popular fragrances and improve their weak spots(performance,projection,reformulations etc) Yes they make clones but if the clone is better than the original you need to give them the credits for that. Emperor,PVI,Rush of Unicorns etc are perfect examples.

    Dr Copeland like you said in one of your podcast, I didn't get this fragrance to get complements because it's true what you say, it is so stressful wearing a fragrance just to impress others, I wear it because I love the smell and because in many cases a fragrance boost my confidence, I wear it because the make me feel clean. But Dr Copeland, you nailed it with Emperor, simple as that. I didn't know it was going to be this great. The first time I wore the fragrance, I got tons of complements. Emperor is so addictive to me like molecule 01. Im pretty sure I will love the extrait.
    Dr Copeland continue doing what you're doing, you're good at it simply because you got good taste, and expensive taste even if is a cheap fragrance. I see your nose and your senses are expensive. Keep up the good work

    I have a couple of aventus batches, starting from 2012 until 2015, i would buy a bottle every year with my income tax!! The 15 batch is really good! I tried emperor extrait from parfumes vintage and its a dead ringer, now if u DO NOT have the older batches ur gonna hate!! But trust me that emperor extrait shit is on point!! Anything after the reformulation which i think was around the end of 16, is just not good, they made the bottle size smaller, the juice weaker and takes raised the prices!!

    My man I believe you are being authentic however, your not the only reviewer who has had to kinda straighten out everyone's perspective about House of Parfums issues. I can respect that. However, the rehashes of the same stuff with a different name (emperor, intense,Maximus, Colossus, Gold, EDP, Vanilla, X) etc. All that is well and good but jacking the prices up with every new Aventus flanker is really giving this house a bad rep for money grabbing. When a clone house starts shooting skyward to the tune of $200 for a 100ml, then people will just say F-it, I'll just buy the real thing for alitte bit more. I like Parfums but I dont like what's happening to them with the prices constantly getting jacked up. Great review, I just subscribed. P.S tell Damien to connect better with his clients, his customer service is really taking a beating by other reviewers and Fragrantica...vicious.

    Another great video man. As far as PV goes I don't know how a lot of people can hate them for doing what these other companies havent for a big market. Creed has obviously said they'll throw out whatever Aventus standard they want because they know the hype around will sell it anyway. PV is offering up performance and options for a discounted price. I do feel you on them making theirnown fragrances but lets not act like people would jump on those as fast as their other offerings. I'm definitely going to order that Isla tropical prive to compare to my VIW bottle. I got that bottle as a gift and as much as I love the performance was always so so on my skin so I can't to see your review on it.

    There are only two batches 2016 that get close to the price range of $600, even that said price is an exaggeration based on hype. Average price in the groups for a 2016 batch is around $270-350 brand new, still less than retail. 2016 is considered one of the best years.

    • @thediplomat3137

      The Diplomat as I mentioned only 2 out of 14 batches released that year (120ml BNIB)could easily be found around the $300 price point. What is stated in the video is that 2016 batches overall are going for $600 which could lead to some confusion.

    It's very apparent they treat the reviewers that are sent bottles for free very well. I have read many comments on other PV reviews that their customer service is garbage and that is the main reason I will never purchase from this company even though I am interested in some of their interpretations of discontinued scents.

    • @mateohenderson5545
      @mateohenderson5545 5 лет назад

      I'm in the cologne fragrance groups on fb and the owner has regularly shown that these complaints are people who complain about not getting tracking 3 days after an order even though PV clearly say dispatch is 10 days. The owner has even shown screenshots where some said their delivery took 3 weeks but didn't explain that they had it rerouted to Africa! I'm a stickler for poor service but I've never been disapointed in the 2 experiences with them but then again I follow their advice on the shipping and I don't mind waiting 10 days because the products I have is superior especially Emperor and Pineapple Vintage Intense

    • @sabastianturner9695
      @sabastianturner9695 5 лет назад

      check their instagram page this week. They posted a photo of a message from a customer who went on a rant after waiting 5 days when the company put notices saying the dispatch is longer than this. For the company to post this shows how upfront they are - not only in advising on the shipping times but also in proving that some of the negative comments are just douches

They sent me a bottle with a knowingly defective cap, responded that they would be sending me some samples to make up for it then ghosted me and never replied again. I tried emailing them back and they changed their email over to something else and refuse to honor their promise. Be prepared to overpay and wait 2-3 weeks for your product. I will say Emperor is a good fragrance but their service is the worst. Here is link to Screenshot imgur.com/ohA5tZa

      I have 2011 Millesime Imperial and Rush of Unicorns outperforms it so I can wear it even through October. I could care less whether it's a "clone" - it's molecules and raw materials and Creed are watering down the product and jacking up the prices and this is has gone way too far. Rush of Unicorns solves this and is less expensive than the 2018 watered down batches.

      Rush of Unicorns is the real deal. Strange that you would feel scammed by a company offering a better product for lower price. Pour Homme is a Sniffardi material. Even though you will get it wrong anyway. :) what I don’t like about the house is that it’s too expensive for clone. I got Tom Ford, Creed and others in niche lines and yes, they are expensive. But, they are charging msrp, including their creativity, brand value, offline boutiques, and whole nine yard. I am not their advocate but those factors are desolved in the pricing. PV doesn’t have all that but still their price too high for the quantity. I am not saying it should be dirt cheap as Amaf but it is expensive. Also, their bottle is too generic and it looks very cheap for the price. If the company claims that they rather spend money on the ingredients, i got nothing to say. But, it is what it is. PV is not available in my country, so if I have to pay shipping and import tax that is (item price + shipping charge)*118%, forget it. But, I am really curious of PV, not like Dua or Alexandria.

    I’ve never tried PV and that’s mostly because some of their reinterpretations are within 20 or 30 dollars of the original. I know with Creed that’s not the case but with Bond and some other frags the price is to close to buy a clone over the original if they don’t cost more as with their version of Invictus Aqua. $95 for a 50ml, you could probably buy a vintage 100ml bottle for that.

    • @stayfreshproductions
      @stayfreshproductions  5 лет назад +2

      Like I said, you can place value where you see it. That being said however, you can’t knock em till you try em!! Since you haven’t smelled anything from PV, you’re missing out on at least knowing for certain if you prefer the original to the clone, or vice versa.
      Also, I haven’t seen a Vintage Invictus Aqua for less than $120 anywhere 🤔...unless you happen to find it in a duty free somewhere.

    For the people who love aventus, fine, but as a fragrance collector and aficionado.. I wholeheartedly believe that spending the ridiculous amount of money that creed demands for Aventus is a huge mistake. I own a 2014 bottle that has about 25% left in it, but I get just as much positive attention and enjoyable wear out of my Mont Blanc Explorer, which is a fraction of the price. Aventus has a more natural smell, slightly better projection and lasts a bit longer, but not $300-$400 better. I get a good 2 to 3 feet of projection, and a nice sillage with Explorer for the first several hours. After that it draws back a bit closer, but remains a nice scent bubble up to 6 or 8 hours depending on how many sprays I apply. I suggest you take that bottle of Aventus out of your shopping cart and get a bottle of Explorer - put some in a little decant to reapply 4 hours later if you need to. You will be complimented, especially by women. I promise. I have not tried any Pineapple Vintage, but once my Explorer runs out I plan to get samples of a few PV renditions and deciding if I want to go that route over Explorer, but for now it’s serving as a fantastic Aventus alternative.

    Good video 👌 I cant speak on PV quality as I haven't tried a thing from them. I am soooo sick of Aventus, clones, batches basically everything & anything to do with it, go away already Aventus 🤷‍♂️ the main thing that bugs me with PV is the blanket flood tactics they use they flood the entire community, every reviewer accepts their bottles and we have to watch the same review 10 times they should just work with 1 or 2 reviewers instead of flooding the entire community with stuff every 2 weeks its just getting really boring.

    I WILL NEVER BUY CREED AVENTUS AGAIN!!! It is beyond wrong to keep jacking up the price on a fragrance just to keep it out of the hands of people who just can't afford $400-$500 a bottle. And they wonder why so many have turned to clones? REALLY? On top of Creed constantly reformulating Aventus and AND, watering it down. The Aventus of the past is long gone and in my opinion so is Creed as a company. Shady business practices. I am a forever Parfums Vintage customer now. A sample of Eau Sauvage I got before 2015 (I don't know how old a bottle it was decanted from) smelled notably deeper, soapier, more complex, and stronger than a full new bottle I bought in 2015. Don't know why people hate on companies asking influencers to review their product. Even if they paid them, that's a good thing. Influencers put in work. J, do your thing bro. Keep the swag coming.

    • @finefragrancefan8314
      @finefragrancefan8314 5 лет назад +2

      I agree. But sometimes the disclaimer is not there. And that is where the problem starts. It is a world of difference between someone reviewing something they bought for themselves or something they got for free. Even though some reviewers say that does not impact their judgment there are only very very few I would actually trust to be objective despite getting things for free. Some get very expensive niche bottles and give everything a raving review without ever disclaiming it unless directly asked or if the evidence is too damning. They do this to fuel their addiction to get new fragrances. And that is in no way impartial.
      In some countries it is law that you have to disclose that you got stuff for free or are even paid. Then it is advertisement or even sponsored content. People should be open about this and no one would have a problem because then it is at the customers discretion to decide how neutral they think the review is. But everything else is taking the customer for a ride.

    Great topic and line of discussion. Personally I couldn’t care less about their business model or approach. It’s not for me to like or hate; who cares I get that. I do think they are contributing to this batch variation thing to a much larger degree than it matters. Aventus connoisseurs probably aren’t collecting PV to quench their batch thirst if you will. Even if they keep releasing redundant stuff, to each their own. I can chose to purchase or watch. I can chose to skip. But since you asked about opinions about the house, I will express myself respectfully.
    I do take exception with how they treat their paying customers. Like I mentioned in the MrSmelly video, they treat the reviewers like gold but a lot of their customers like disposable items. You can find many examples of customers receiving broken atomizers, bottles not filled all the way, extremely poor or complete lack of communication etc. and to boot anyone with non flattering words about them gets dismissed as a troll and attacked. It’s downright wrong.
    I respect you brother, that goes without saying. For the condescending and arrogant attitude of the company and it’s affiliates they deserve to be rebuked.

After all PV can't do a 1 to 1 recreation anyway. The only way that's possible is to have the exact Aventus recipe along with quantities of the ingredients and manufacturing process available to them. Its a good company very good quality fragrances... No doubt.. My only complaint is when the clones start becoming more expensive than what you can get the originals for. I wouldn't spend the price of Emperor extrait.. If people were smart, they would push Parfums vintage to replace their original PV with PVI intense at that same price tag. That would be a very nice value option. But you can't blame companies for getting what they can get when everyone is willing to spill cash. Look at what Jeremy did. Raised a million dollars and doesn't even have caps on the bottle..

      I hear you. I just try to keep my sights set on what I believe in. For those fragrances that cost more than their original, I will either avoid them, or at least make it known if I do a review (e.g. Imbue and Gucci PH II). And that's a funny observation about Jeremy's fragrance lol.

    I don’t have a problem with their creations. I just had a super bad experience with PV owner and reps. I got shipped a bottle that leaked and didn’t get a refund or a new bottle. I was just absolutely baffled that a an actual legit company would do something like that. So, I’ll always tell people to buy from another clone house with some integrity.

    What they need to tackle is a feagrance that has broken the heart of fragrance lovers for years with its lackluster performane: D&G THE ONE. If they got it right with great performance at the right price it would murder the wallets of men everywhere.lol

    Has anyone bought Pineapple Intense lately? I have. Others have. The opening smells like feces. PV sent the reviewers very carefully crafted bottles a few years ago. None of it is the same anymore. It's VERY strange to me that the community seems to love this stuff but all the samples I have with the exception of Rush of Unicorns have been very bad, the same is true for others.. Noir / Beyond Noir have this really weird burnt bacon smell they are trying to pass off as "smokey aventus". It smells absolutely nothing like Aventus. None of it does.

      PVI has always been known to have this almost stinky musky smell to it when you first spray it on, but it dries down very nicely. I get the same experience with their new X Batch Intense. I honestly hated Noir/Beyond Noir, definitely got that burnt bacon smell. Emperor EDP and its Extrait version is the closest they’ve gotten to Aventus so far.
