Hello my new quirky friends from the UK! Lol I couldn't resist to watch you react to her. I've followed her for many years. Usally when I am in the mood for celtic, popish, medevil instruments etc. She is a trail blazer of what she does. She is responsible for introducing me to my 3rd band my soul told me to support out of Israel. Her friendship with Noa I think has expanded her voice. The band is Scardust and the song is Concrete Cages. I saw the livestream concert after the video was released. It was so infectious like we conquered covid! She actually did Harsh vocals to Queen of Insanity during the concert. She explained to Orr Didi how she plays the Gurdy and what's normal with it. All her tricks. She Said he put everything in the piece. I think you would love this masterpiece. I now have 3 bands my soul told me to support. I have thanked Patty for introducing me to Scardust. Check it out. Patty is featured on the song 'Concrete Cages' by Scardust ruclips.net/video/9El7fWOPpY0/видео.html Patty reached out to Noa Gruman as she was a fan of Scardust and wanted to know how to sing some of the parts in the previous albulm, Sands of Time. Later she was featured on the latest album

There's a video about in on Pattys youtube-channel. Actually she asked Noa for vocal lessons and sent her a short clip about her singing Scardust's "Sands of time". Then she bought herself a ticket for the next Scardust-show in Berlin and met Noa, who was already impressed by Pattys clip. As a result, Patty ended up on stage with Scardust for this gig - so you might say, the ticket was wasted. :D After that, Patty was even invited to join the Scardust-UK-tour and (again) after that, 2 songs were created: "One by One" from Patty with Hellscore - the choir of Noa Gruman - and the mentioned "Concrete Cages".

This is much more "poppy" than her usual, though she is very varied in her output so I'm not sure "usual" means anything with Patty! She does a hurdy-gurdy and nyckelharpa cover of (part of) _Last_ _Ride_ _of_ _the_ _Day_ which I'm sure you would enjoy if you fancy a short reaction sometime (less than 2 minutes)...

Hiho. I always like it, when someone reacts to one of Patty's songs, but in this case a few remarks might be necessary in advance, because this is not a typical "Patty-song", if something like this really exists. The song was composed, arranged and produced in very short time because of the timelines set by NDR (a public German TV and radiostation) for Eurovision. Pattys goal was to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) for Germany and therefore the song contains less hurdy-gurdy than usual and is more ESC- than Patty-style. Additionally Patty could not work with one of her "normal" producers because of these timelines and therefore had to go to someone she had never worked with before. But still they got to complete, arrange and produce the song in one single day of work! The video was published after a week of that - also quite improvised and low budget. Having this in mind, I feel that this song - which is definitely not my favourite Patty-song (I prefer "Horizons turned red", "One by one" and/or her hurdy-gurdy-only version of the song "The longing", which she originally wrote for the pirate-metal band "Storm Seeker" while she was am member of it) - turned out quite impressive.

The song "Concrete cages" from Scardust is a fantastic collab with Patty (they are all friends for years now) and designed to show not only what could be done with a hurdy-gurdy in prog-metal but also the huge skills of the other musicians, especially Noa Gruman, which is a impressive vocalist, and bassist Orr Didi, who wrote the song: ruclips.net/video/9El7fWOPpY0/видео.html
