Precious family! Each of your children are SO incredibly, equally extra special! I had seven siblings, mom and dad Never had a Favourite child…we were, each of us, a favoured child, to them! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ We were very different in our natures traits, personalities, strengths, and yes, weaknesses😮and lovingly encouraged to work on those areas 😊, but we were SO loved…we were Family… Five of my precious siblings are now with Jesus in Heaven! Every day is a precious gift of Life from Almighty God… And so we chose to cherish each other…❤

Loved watching you do all the cooking from scratch. The food turned out so yummy looking. I enjoyed seeing the greenhouse and all the vegetables growing. Amazing how they grow so quickly because of the long daylight hours.
I sure hope some of that nice rain comes on down to Where we live in Western Canada…we have been having a heat wave with no rain in the forecast. ❤ Lovely greenhouse.
Waiting for Lemongrass spa to come to Canada…hopefully they figure it out soon. We have some family in the states that recommended the products to us…but sadly we could not order.

Everything always seems so calm and inviting in your home. The meal and prep was “inspirational “! I am not familiar with all the ins and outs of sourdough starter. I noticed your starter jar was sitting on your oven cooktop. Does it need to be kept in a warm spot always or just on the counter or refrigerated? I’d love to learn from your expertise. Thanks for all the wonderful teaching you do.
I set it where it’s really warm by the stove if I want it to activate fast. But usually I just have it sitting on the countertop.
If I am not using it for a couple days, I will put it in the fridge because that slows down the activation.

Sure would love to have some of your rain. It is hot and dry in my neck of the woods. In the 100s and haven't had much rain this spring and summer. We are under a heat advisory warning many days in a row. A lovely dinner.

For the icing, I only warmed up about a cup of cream, and then I melted a cup of chocolate chips into it.
Sometimes I add a pinch of salt and vanilla.
I let it cool off and that helps it thicken a little.
Everything looks so delicious. I loved it for you that you got to play peacefully in the kitchen and work at making those luscious meals you make. The sour dough chocolate cake sounds interesting. And your frosting looked just fabulous. Do you have a recipe for how you make your topping for that cake? I have never tasted Moose meat and am wondering how it tastes?

No, super easy for me to tell them apart. But sometimes when they’re far off, I have to listen to the sound of their voice and their actions to tell them apart. :-)
