  • Learn to make your own mechanical puppets just like the Jim Henson company. These are the same techniques and design philosophy that master puppet makers have employed for decades and still use today. This First lesson will go over the goals of the series and take you through the tools you'll find helpful getting started. This is a series I've wanted to do for some time now. As a designer myself i have come across a number of amazing resources that have helped me learn and grow my skill sets. I hope you'll find this series as helpful as i have. This will also give me a break from videos since my equipment was stolen recently.

Thank you for posting this. I’m planning on building a puppet like this, and this is just what I was looking for.

I from what I know the mechanism for my plushtrap is going to be exterior all directional eye-movement with two eyelids that’s about it just the eyes able to move but here’s the thing they won’t need or require any cables or electronics or anything it’s just going to be a toy and I can just pose the eyes like how you would with a stop motion puppet
