Driving like a scale bouncer is crucial. The RTR appears to loose bind, but it's a fail safe for when your transmitter settings aren't at center on start up. Set transmitter setting to center and restart it. We did rebind to get rid of ASC with no issues.
It's technical name for the axel is AR-14B. I'm not completely sure but I've read the gear set fits some TRX and Losi trucks when bolted to the differential that is specific to the model

Have you thought about changing the wheel base of the ryft? I've gotten mine to 16.5" using a combination of different stock length ryft links
Alot of guys are using Roy Rey trailing arms to push the rear end way back!
