I love the aesthetic of flagellants, and I'm really glad they aren't just cruddy chaff like they are in many games.
Thanks! Knucklebones Miniatures for my entire witch hunter warband.
Part 3 ? Orcs & Goblins, Bretonnian, Dwarves......😊
We will see what the future holds!
Beastmen
@@docremington1589 Bestmen
Yes please. We want more, we need more.
Personally I'd stick with 1A warbands (at least for now), so dwarves, Ostlanders, Kislevites, beastmen and orcs would be the ones I'd give my vote to.
I'm not sure whether Bretonnia was introduced to Mordheim after its theme was changed into that quasi-Arthurian abomination of later editions, but if so -1 for Bretonnia from me ;-P
Great video! I've been wanting to get into Mordheim for the longest time, these vids makes it feel really accessible, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Amazing video! I hope to see other warbands in the future!
Thank you!
Perfect use of the intro sound clips! Lol.
Thanks! Took a while to find the best examples.
Awesome summary. You've convinced me to give Skaven a try.
You’ll have fun, trust me!
Great video! I've been playing Frostgrave but I want to start dipping my toe into Mordheim!
I have played Frostgrave. To be honest, I wished I was playing Mordheim the entire time!
Nice video. Brings me back.
Thank you!
You have a great narrative voice, very relaxing! This vid made me go out and buy the wildercorps, damn fine hounds in that box! The synergy between xbows, flags and the already mentioned hounds is great when done properly (or the RNG gods have a good day).
Nice continuation. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much!
Awesome video. Need more mordheim!
There can never be enough Mordheim!
@GetTabled you should eventually cover the dropping of the game by gw and explain the explosion of broheim. And go over the 1A lists.
Great looking carnival team & a fun video overall!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the video.
I remember playing undead back in 2001, I would split my team into 2 groups; the Vamp & wolves, and everyone else. The zombies were super useful being a screen for my other models, while my 'blitz squad' would tear down the side of the table and attempt to flank. My opponent had to decide whether to focus on the big slow horde marching up the table... or tangle with the vampire and his puppies
I do a similar thing. I send my vampire with the dire wolves and have my ghouls protect the necromancer.
I use to play Undead, and honestly campaigns would last until my opponents gave up on how freaking powerful my vampire would become. It doesn't take much to tip them over the edge into 1 man army territory.
The worse I ever got was is I manged to get the skill to wield 2-handed weapons without penalty, sprint, and I think maybe some stat increase. But the kicker was when he got taken out, had to roll on the series injury chart....and came out the other side with the Frenzy skill. They tried playing against that once, and my vampire just tore through everything without blinking. That was the call to reset campaign was made.
Also my friend played the shooting merc army, had one crossbower that always did super well and got promoted to a hero. Managed once to take him out and on the serious wound table it got stupidity. Next game he failed a stupidity test, walked out a 3rd story window and was killed off for real. Just in time for my Necromancer to then cast him back as a zombie for my side post game hahaha
Amazing game, good memories.
Awesome series, I wished someone finally created modern Mordheim dedicated videos. All best and good luck with the channel.
Thanks so much for watching! I am enjoying sharing some knowledge about one of my favorite games.
Great reviews! I'm currently playing Skaven and the Rat Ogre was a must have in my starting roster. I have basically forgone using Verminkin and instead maxed out my warband by game 2 with 13 giant rats. Worth noting the ogre suffers stupidity unless you keep him in range of a hero. Now I'm desperately trying to get Knife Fighter on my BS5 assassin so I can throw 3 ninja stars per turn (hopefully I can get eagle eye too, but we're rolling skills randomly this campaign so who knows)
Dang that sounds like a lot of fun. I should paint up my ogre soon and get my skaven rolling again.
@@GetTabledHe's a great counter to things like a vampire, enough of a threat to make them think twice about plunging into your heroes
Thx for the video ! Hope you will do all the warband in the same way including the 1b (and see the Bretonians in action)
Ooo boy that would be a lot of work but a lot of fun as well. Thanks for watching.
That was excellent!! Skaven for me!!! 🙂
Thanks! Skaven are a good ol' time, that's for sure.
Thanks for these videos, I have never played Mordheim largely because no warband ever really appealed to me. Unlike fantasy, blood bowl, necromunder. I didn't know there was unofficial 1b tier sort of lists that made me somewhat interested, although I've just dived into the old world.
Thanks for watching. If you have minis for TOW, then you will likely find a warband that matches. Time to dive into Mordheim with those brand new models!
part 3!!!❤🙏
Oh boy, I have some painting to do lol.
@@GetTabledremember you can't rush quality dude take your time👌
the paint jobs in this video look absolutely stunning🔥
plus you can use pictures & artwork if needed
a wise man once said,
"it'll be out when it's out."
Vids like these are so helpful for no longer supported games. Also, are your minatures 28mm or 32mm scale. I dont know what to get?
I'm glad you found the vids helpful. Most of mine are 28mm. The original Mordheim minis are around 28mm, so I would stick to that scale. I believe some of my Carnival of Chaos minis are closer to 32mm and they blend in just fine.
1:42 and dont underestimate ws4 as well, they often hit on 3+
Ran a skaven warband once. Said to myself, ah yes, numerical superiority, I shall have it (yesyes). So I didnt splurge on expensive gear to start. Also read somewhere that slings were good. Oh look, those are also cheap enough that I can give them to almost everyone. Isnt this great? Turns out a metric crap ton of rats launching rocks is one of the more powerful lists you can run and people may have rude things to say when it runs amok. Oops.
Yeah we sort of have an unspoken rule regarding slings. If you have more than, say, 5 in your warband, you are starting to teeter on the edge of power gaming and people might not want to play with you lol.
I will convince my friends to play Mordheim with me someday
If you can’t convince them, try seeking out other miniatures gamers to play with. For niche games like this, you sometimes need to start your own community rather than convert friends. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Cool Gaspez-Arts miniatures 👍
I love their line and the Old School Miniatures carnival line as well.
Witch Hunters by KM- got 'em also :)
They are such good sculpts.
@@GetTabled true, true
Great overview videos. Any plans to cover the other (1a) warbands?
Thank you! I may cover other warbands. I don’t have minis for them though and I had planned on only talking about warbands I have played. We shall see.
So happy I found your channel! What mini is that Plague Cart?
Happy to have you! it is the Wizard and Wagon by RAFM miniatures. I replaced the driver with a nurgling from Gaspez Arts.
@@GetTabled Awesome. RAFM has some great minis. Thank you!
Where are those witch hunter minis from? TIA
Those are from Knuckle bone minatures.i Love their stuff.
As mentioned by another user, they are from Knucklebones Miniatures. Thanks for watching!
Thanks a lot for this video. I played one or two games with Skaven but it’s hard to find players in my area.
Original Sisters of Sigmar are hard to find and so very expensive. Do you know good alternative sculpts ?
Reaper miniatures has a line of fantasy nuns, but most of them have bladed weapons. Sisters of Sigmus by Monstrous Encounters is a really great line for 3D printing. They are pretty try to the originals. You can find them on Etsy if you don't have your own printer.
@@GetTabledthank you very much for these advice. I run to have a look at these web dites 😊
Can we get more of these on the other forces like dwarves, amazons and lizardmen?
I try to only talk about warbands I have played, and I have not payed those yet. I may expand to talking about warbands I haven't touched yet, but I like to experience something before I feel right about commenting on it. Thanks for watching!
I wanna make witch hunters
Witch hunters are a lot of fun, for sure.
08:00, where is the rat ogre from?
Reaper Miniatures
What models did you use for the witch hunters?
Knucklebones miniatures. They are 3D prints.
Do the orc mob, please?
Once I get my hands on some squigs!
I disagree about the dregs, because of their fanatastic growth potential(like the mercenary youngbloods) you should be pushing them up into the fight with your ghouls so they can steal kills and get fast experience and advances. Henchmen don't gain experience from taking models OOA, so it's always better to have low level heroes with them to soak up that glory instead, preferably while the enemy is knocked down or stunned beforehand!
True they do start to advance fast if you get them into the fight, but it is definitely a risk. Thanks for watching.
yes yes! Rat rat!
Take-steal warpstone from the man-things!
Beastmen?
I haven't given them a try yet, but they look fun. Thanks for watching.
Ok, you can't show a kick-ass Carnival of Chaos warband and not tell us where to find those models!
Lol its a mix of Gaspez Arts and Old School Miniatures. The wagon is from RAFM.
Where did you find models for carnival of chaos or did you convert them yourself? Great video just getting into the game really helped.
They are a mix of Gaspez Arts and Old School Miniatures. Thanks for watching!
