  • In recent years, there has been a startling increase in the number of young people diagnosed with colon cancer. But why is this happening? One major factor could be that many people are unknowingly starving their colon cells of essential nutrients.
    The truth is that colon cancer is exceedingly rare in cultures that consume foods rich in butyrate. Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid produced when dietary fibers are fermented in the colon, and it plays a crucial role in maintaining colon health.
    In this episode, we'll delve into the world of butyrate, exploring what it is, why it's important, and how it can benefit your colon health. We'll also discuss whether butyrate supplements are effective and if they can help improve your colon health. Join us to learn more about this vital nutrient and how it can help protect your colon.

    I've been following the plant paradox since Feb and my diverticulitis flare-ups are now almost negligible, the constant pain in my left quadrant has gone and as a bonus I've lost 7kilos...😊. This has been a game changer and I'm still learning how my body is adapting to a new way of approaching food. 😊

      It changed and caused to get grey hair within months .
      It tooke 2 years to recover..then sadly was infected again and it e back with vengeance this time causing gut issues like bloating too... Be thankful you are healthy appreciate it everyday and don't tell it others because some will envy you and it can affect you spiritually. Best wishes

    Butyrate comes from the Latin butyrum, meaning butter. The word butter derives (via Germanic languages) from the Latin butyrum, which is the latinisation of the Greek βούτυρον (bouturon).

      @robertoperaza2683 Месяц назад

      @@cblack4413 Well, excellent is not a scientific word you can apply to what or how your body process those foods. All the side-effects you get when ingesting those are the result of the plant defending itself against predator. Plants like us want to survive and reproduce, they can't run so chemical substances are they way to say "don't eat me" so expect some sort of inflammation on human body (short or long term) when we eat it. Our ancestors they used to 'process' many of this products by soaking on water, fermenting etc. we just "forgot" how manipulate them due to convenience and we're paying the price.
      I can't tell you what you eat but I'd definitely suggest you to don't believe all what is said (usually coming from Food Industry). The amounts of As(III) tended to be higher in non-processed nuts (cashews, almonds, pine nuts, walnuts) than in processed samples (salted peanuts, sunflower seeds). Since As(III) is the more toxic form, there is one way to cut down daily arsenic intake if you still like to eat nuts.

    I have a question: if you don't use antibiotics when your body is sick, there will be two cases: 1, the body will produce substances to resist, and the second case, the body will not be able to. to fight harmful bacteria that cause disease. So we won't know what situation we might be in, so how can we choose the best treatment method? And if we overuse antibiotics, it will also make our body resistant to the medicine. What should I do for the best?

Butyrate is a very foul smelling substance, I won't go into detail because that will scare too many of you away. That doesn't mean that your colon doesn't require it. I'm posting because the "nano-encapsulation" method may not be viable in the of the more severe cases.

    Are you talking about botanically correct yams used medicinally to help regulate female hormones as being a source of inulin? Most of the so-called “yams” in American grocery stores are not botanically yams, they are actually sweet potatoes. If you eat them at Thanksgiving or in a pie they are sweet potatoes. One originated in Africa and I think the yams were a tuber from South America. They are not related and actual yams can be found in capsules at the health food store or prescribed by a naturopath. The importance for grocery stores to correctly identify vegetables is exceeded by the need for doctors to do so. BTW, I avoid artichoke which I grew up eating in California (mom was from Texas), but they are contra indicated for blood type B and AB, beneficial for the majority types, A and O. This is due to a differing immune response (caused often by lectins, if any, or whether it is otherwise targeted for removal by your system). Food? Poison? We are different.

Fibre feeds good bacteria but it also feeds bad bacteria as well. A fact you won't hear on most of the internet. Six months later on low fibre and low carbs my digestion is better than it has been for many decades. And now I need no doctor's prescriptions and the only supplement I take is vitamin D3/K2.
