No I’m literally in a multimedia major and the advice you’re giving is what they teach us in class. Short and sweet, concise, chunks of info, fit it to the platform and fit it to your niche.
I love that you're aggressive, but instead of anger it's just this sort of frenetic niceness. Like if you lost it one day you'd run outside, grab the nearest person, and then life coach the bejesus out of them until they achieved their lifelong dreams.
4:11 It reminds me of one summer day in the park. I was having just a delightful picnic with my good friend Orville, and I said to him - I said "Orville, I-I have a story." And he said to me "What's the significance of the story?" and... I said to him "O-Orville, not every story has to have significance, y'know? Sometimes, uh, y'know, sometimes a story is just a story. You try to read into every little thing and find meaning in everything anyone says you'll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once - Wasn't pretty. We talked about it for years. And not only that, but you'll likely end up believing something you shouldn't believe, thinking something you shouldn't think, o-or assuming something you shouldn't assume, y'know?" Sometimes I said "A story is-is just a story, so just be quiet for one second in life and eat your sandwich, okay?" Of course, it was only then I realized I'd made sandwiches. Poor Orville was... having such difficulty eating it. Elephants have those clumsy hands, y'know? Actually, I-I suppose that's the problem. They don't have hands at all, do they? The-they're all feet! An-I-I couldn't imagine someone asking me to eat a sandwich with my feet. Now, if I recall correctly there was a bakery nearby. I said to him, "Orville, let me go get you some rye bread." Now, I-I'm unsure if elephants enjoy rye bread, but I assure you that Orville does. Now this was on a Tuesday, which was good because rye bread was always fresh on Tuesday. They made sourdough bread on Monday, and threw it out Wednesday... or rather they sold it at a discount for people wanting to feed the ducks, and probably at the end of the day finally they threw it all out - I don't recall. I do remember a man who would bring his son to the bakery every Wednesday and go feed the ducks. He would buy all of the sourdough bread. Of course, y'know, you're not supposed to feed the ducks sourdough bread at all. It swells up in their stomach and then they all die. At, uh.. at least... at least that's what I've heard. Y'know I-I never saw any ducks die myself, but I did notice a substantial decrease in the duck population over the course of a few years. I just never thought to stop the man and tell him that he was killing the ducks by feeding them sourdough bread! And if you want my opinion on the matter, heh - and I told Orville this as well - "If you wanna feed ducks, or birds, or any kind for that matter, it's best to buy seed." I mean, when you think about it, breads of any sort don't occur in nature. They don't grow on trees, or spring up from the bushes. I don't think birds know what to do with bread. What was I saying? Oh-oh, yes yes. So I bought Orville some rye bread. What a fine day it was. (If you know where this is from you either absolutely love the character that said this or absolutely despise him. There’s probably not an in between.) Also I can handle every single hate comment except for somebody telling me to 📴 myself. As a person who’s actually thought about it (I’m ok now) it could just go downhill. And it’s just really fucked up to say.
Dude the short captions thing is gold. My older Pavlov videos took me forever to make specifically because I HAD to put captions because I felt like it helped so much
_"People aren't really coming to see what you talk about, they're coming to see you talk ABOUT it."_ That's so on the money. I have no interest in making my own content, but I clicked this video as soon as I saw it because I like listening to you talk and knew I'd enjoy it. It's guaranteed that a BigTugg video is going to be entertaining as hell.
why i follow you 1. your really genuine and relatable, and also really godamn funny 2. you pour a lot of effort into your videos, and it shows 3. you have a consistent formula that is amazing to passively listen to 4. ABBY ABBY ABBY ABBY ABBY I LOVE YOUR KITTY BLACK CATS ARE MY FAVORITE AND SHES SO SWEET AND THOSE EYES OH MY GOD RAHHH❗❗
Honestly, I love the captions, not just because they trick my monkey brain and are attention grabbing. I also love them because I often have trouble understanding people when they talk fast. Captions help me understand the jokes better.
Y'know why it works for you tugger my boy? Because you got that charisma. You come off as genuinely a fun guy to be around. All these people subscribed to you because you genuinely come across as the kinda guy we'd like to be friends with.
The first word that came immediately to mind when I thought about why your stuff is good was editing. Your timing and cuts are perfect and make everything so much funnier
Captions are also considered a necessity for a lot of people and can help get an audience with the d/Deaf community. Captions allow them to be able to watch your content and know what you're saying, and I know some hearing people that purposefully try to avoid creators who dont do captions to show support.
I think it also helps because people often watch shorts on the go where audio may be bad due to background noise so it mak a the videos easier to follow.
Yet Tugg specifically makes his captions incredibly fast-paced. I'd imagine anyone from that community would appreciate something slower? And that just sounds mean. To avoid content creators who don't do captions to support the deaf community? What if that content creator was just struggling to edit captions into their videos? And as portrayed by Tugg, since the video has to be fast-paced, the captions have to be fast-paced too. It just seems so trivial to not watch this content to "support" the deaf community (when I doubt it actually helps them) yet you can't bother to support a content creator that maybe with more support, would eventually add captions? You're also directly supporting the content creator by watching their content. But you're not directly supporting the deaf community by not watching their content. You're just doing nothing by then. If the deaf community needed captions that badly, then they'll just look to other creators who make captions or turn auto-generated captions on.
as you can see, tugg puts captions in his short form content, and that is because youtube already has an in-built cc. and no, tugg specifically talks about "fast paced captions" studies suggests that they help audiences stay as it feeds our little monkey brains with enough information every second to the point where we wont have to scroll down.

This was one of the best "learning youtube" videos i have ever seen. Solid advice! Love your videos man and your a bloody crack up 😂 Keep up the great work 👍
I feel like there is so much more here than just tricking the brain. By telling us your “tricks” you are being transparent with your audience, and that in and of itself makes for pretty good content! It can’t happen all the time but a peak behind the curtain is refreshing
My favourite piece of advice in there was to make videos for people, not numbers. I’m a photographer and I want to share what works for me. Thanks to this video, I think I’m actually gonna try short form.
I dont care what you say about your self but you are actually producing the best content ive seen in a long time, in shirt and long form so I'll ask you very kindly to shut the hell up and continue in this amazing thing you are doing
I love how bro was like “its so annoying when people reply to every comment, you know it’s an automated response!” And then responds to almost every comment with the exact same response 🤣🤣💀💀
@@SphenryShortshe literally said he got tired haha plus it’s more special when he comments if it’s only a few peoples comments bare in mind there is 1.2k comments that is a lot and he does have to edit videos so he probably needs to use that time to edit rather than reply!!! He is doing his best!! We gotta support him through and through!! 😇
What I love most about your videos is just how unabashed you are, its a good confidence boost to get me back to the same mindset. Lifes too fleeting to give a shit about stimming in public or telling someone their outift is nice. I think you just come across as really personable, and yadda yadda parasocial relationships and all, but its just you can see how different people approach being on camera and its like you just turn the dial from 11 to 12 or something. And I really love the chaotic nature of your longform stuff, youre one of the few people whos short form stuff I regularly try and watch too. Thanks for your hardwork Mr. Tugg!
Man, Love this guy. I will watch BiggTugg for the rest of my life. I want to watch videos of him retired while I’m retired just living his life. Love his personality, he’s got a good head on his shoulders
This was strangely inspiring. I just started making videos and I'm proud that I'm finally doing it. Thank you for being you, Tugg. No matter what you think, you're super funny and inspiring.
Discovered you on TikTok a few months ago and you crack me up. You have a fantastic sense of humor. I’ve sent your videos to multiple people and they crack up also. All your points make so much sense also.
As much as you (rightfully) crapped on and criticized those videos, this was… genuinely and oddly inspiring. It’s nice to see someone say “your ideas are better than you imagine, just try it” and stuff, idk, this may actually push me to finally start creating content as well
The last part got me man "if they're making fun of you, make fun of them for not even trying!" I went through that alot with my music, a coworker used to clown every song id put out but you know what? He wasnt recording anything, even my stuff isnt "good" atleast im putting my foot forward and applying what I do know to something and not just being cynical to other people
Thank you, i really needed those words. Wrote them on my motivational page of my journal: “You are more entertaining than what you think.” That made me feel a lot more better. Thank you.
I love the ending message of just going for it. "Make fun of them because they're not trying" I've had too many people try to shut me down when I don't settle for less or make an effort to get the things I want. It's so nice hearing someone finally say that trying actually WORKS because it DOES!
People like me genuinely appreciate the captions because auto-generated captions really suck and it's great to have them already there and not have to interpret what you're saying. Also, the large font is easy to read and a lot of people watch tik tok and shorts with no audio as well so captions make it more likely for people to watch your stuff even if they can't hear you, so I don't think it makes your audience seem dumb
I've been looking for some real, honest help for content creation and this legitimately answered some questions I've had for a while. Not just technical questions but also the bit about just being yourself. Thank you @BigTugg!
You're the kind of person I'd have loved to have as a friend in high school, and just be each other's hype person, each just being genuinely themselves, not caring about the masses around us.
This is why I enjoy being an artist. There is no lifespan on art. Maybe content creation in a videographer sense yeah. But you definitely generalized content creation in that bit g. No stress I adore your vids just giving my two sense.
I actually really appreciate when people put captions in their vids bc I have an auditory processing disorder and if I can't consistently understand what people are saying I get frustrated. Also yeah, I think you're a silly guy lmao. I usually don't "like" videos, despite liking them in general, bc I use the "liked vids" tab as another playlist/sorting thing so I can find stuff easier but I should prob make just normal playlists for that bc my "watch later" playlist is sooooooo long and it's just bc I like to keep things sdncsdnjscioskdjnsfkfjfs anyway have a day if you would like to. I'll try to get around to resorting things so I can like your videos without the psychic damage killing me (ocd go brr /neg if there's too many vids in my "liked vids" kcsjndcs) (might delete this after I come to my senses and realise I rambled) (if I remember to) (sorry)
watching this guy is just so comforting, he has such great mannerisms and stuff hes just lovely to watch. i am going to force my friends to watch him now
Im not an aspiring content creator but music is my passion and i love what hes saying. Ever since i discovered metal music, ive wished it was less about guitar and more about a big synthy lead and a catchy rythmic vocal hook, and now im doing that at only 13 yrs old. Thank you for reminding me tugg.😊
The taking forever to get to the tips is another classic trick for getting your advice to seem real. Part of it is by the time you get to the advice it feels like it's important because you stayed to get it, like the sunk cost fallacy.
I don't plan on making any videos, but I enjoyed watching you talk about it lol. Sounds like the secret to success is not trying to be the smartest guy in the room. My husband is in sales, and he never tries to tell anyone why his ideas are good because people don't like feeling tricked or sold anything. Just show your own personality, what you have to offer, and be honest. If people like it, they'll buy.

I feel like there is so much more here than just tricking the brain. By telling us your “tricks” you are being transparent with your audience, and that in and of itself makes for pretty good content! It can’t happen all the time but a peak behind the curtain is refreshing
One thing I learned is that a call to action should have 2 things max, once you do three "Like comment and subscribe" people start to tune it out
Thanks for the love!
@@biggtugg tf 💀
@@Blankbedrock he's being sarcastic
My favourite piece of advice in there was to make videos for people, not numbers. I’m a photographer and I want to share what works for me. Thanks to this video, I think I’m actually gonna try short form.
I dont care what you say about your self but you are actually producing the best content ive seen in a long time, in shirt and long form so I'll ask you very kindly to shut the hell up and continue in this amazing thing you are doing
Okay!
I can’t understand wether this is hate or not it’s just very violent in a loving way 😂😂
I took it as aggressively wholesome? Very tugg energy imo lmao@@Hello.Kitty.is.my.life.
Congrats on the 500 subs man, been here since the beginning
Thanks for sticking around!
@@biggtuggayy hi broo
This is genuinely one of my favorite channels I come back every so often to check on it and if one shows up in my feed I instantly click on it
I love how bro was like “its so annoying when people reply to every comment, you know it’s an automated response!”
And then responds to almost every comment with the exact same response 🤣🤣💀💀
That’s the ticket!
😂😂😂😂
I'm too LMAO on this
😂😂😂😂😂
I love all of your long form content. I hope you enjoy making them because I always get excited to see them.
Also love your content. You're YT Shorts caught my eye, one lonely 3am night filled with the bliss of painful laughter. Keep being you brah 🤙🏻
Thank you for commenting!
@@biggtugg You've replied on alot but, you got too reply too all. Use the advice Big Tugg
Tugg!
I’ve just discovered your channel and I love it!! I love how real and not forced your humor is, makes me laugh so easily! 😂
this guy has just an unmatched energy and i love it, i could listen to him ramble about the dumbest shit ever and itd be entertaining
10:15 we need a yt short that is like,, does big tugg truly hate his fans? the answer will shock you''.
Thanks!
There’s so many content creators that feel so distant whereas Tucker feels like I could genuinely be best buds with
Man, Love this guy. I will watch BiggTugg for the rest of my life. I want to watch videos of him retired while I’m retired just living his life. Love his personality, he’s got a good head on his shoulders
true dat
Why did this actually inspire me? Genuinely solid advice 10/10
The fact that he replied the most generic things under people's comments 💀💀💀
Thanks for commenting!
This was strangely inspiring. I just started making videos and I'm proud that I'm finally doing it. Thank you for being you, Tugg. No matter what you think, you're super funny and inspiring.
I really need to pace myself when watching your video’s. Each one makes laugh harder than I ever have. I should save for a bad day but I won’t lol.
He wasnt recording anything, even my stuff isnt "good" atleast im putting my foot forward and applying what I do know to something and not just being cynical to other people
I don't really like watching long video content , but i should say i was thoroughly entertained for every second of this video
Thank you!
@@biggtugg and that right there proves why responding to comments is stupid.
@@KMc-cw3qt Wow! You just gave another one, amazing!!
@@KMc-cw3qt Chill the hell out. Damn.
Thank you, i really needed those words.
Wrote them on my motivational page of my journal:
“You are more entertaining than what you think.”
That made me feel a lot more better. Thank you.
Captions are wonderful please never stop
I got a lil brain that cannot comprehend words without them
I go out of my way to unsub if people spam uploads all day. It annoys me too much. Also you're hilarious dude, glad you are popping off
The mix of wtf random funny moments and real talk is just right. love it!
You're genuinely one of the funniest creators I've seen on the platform in a long time. It all feels so genuine and raw, been hooked for a while now
I love the ending message of just going for it.
Yes! We love captions :)
Would you fight Terry Chipotle, a man with an unlimited supply of slightly warm chipotle in his pockets?
I don’t know!
This is why I enjoy being an artist. There is no lifespan on art. Maybe content creation in a videographer sense yeah. But you definitely generalized content creation in that bit g. No stress I adore your vids just giving my two sense.
IVE BEEN HERE SINCE 100K wich is not that long BUT STILL
Thanks for staying!
@@biggtugg i have not replied because i am in disbelief that you know that i exist
Damn, I missed the bit where he would have replied to me. Fucking real life taking up all the time I could be Tuggin' it.
Don’t worry you’ll get them next time!
watching this guy is just so comforting, he has such great mannerisms and stuff hes just lovely to watch. i am going to force my friends to watch him now
Please post a short of you eating a burger with the let me do it for you audio.
I'm so ready to stare at this video during 63% of my time emptying my bowels over this bowl crafted for this exact purpose.
For sure?
The taking forever to get to the tips is another classic trick for getting your advice to seem real. Part of it is by the time you get to the advice it feels like it's important because you stayed to get it, like the sunk cost fallacy.
I'm naming my rat Tucker in your honor!
One of my rats, Socrates, is napping on me while I watch this video!
The realest video you've ever made and I love this side of you! You're so effortlessly funny and genuinely good at making content.
You also don't drag on. My short attention span loves you.
Feeling the love!
No this couldn’t be clickbait I refuse to believe it 🤨
But seriously thank you for pointing out this misinformation on the web since not many people really call it out much from what I’ve seen and I hope that you make it to 1 mil and more Big Tugg ❤
No thank YOU!
Half a year later, he’s a little over a mil
LEVEL YOUR DAMN RUclips PLAQUE TUGG!! Damn man. Found you on IG and followed this when you had very few, glad to see youre getting big. You really are funny, be your authentic self. Youre mega amusing.
"people arent really coming to see what you talk about, theyre coming to see you talk about it" hit the nail on the head forrealsss you put it into words 🤌
What you do is almost impossible to replicate by these morons you've displayed for us to laugh at. You are, without a doubt, _the_ most relatable person on the motherfucking planet. You represent _all_ of us. If aliens were to come to this planet and tell us that they will either destroy us or accept us into the galactic federation based on which person is most representative of the human race, dude, I would vote for you a million times out of a million.
noooooo dont sacrifice him
