Hi bullet, can you go slowly with the connection for the driver and passenger side for me. I did the connection on my 2020 Rav4 XSE hybrid, and the mirror does not fold. I'm using the new generation system with the two control modules. I was wondering if it is the blue and green wire from the folding motor and the control modules are not connected properly because I do not like the connection plugs on both ends.

Hi! Your videos are awesome and very informative for those of us that don't have your experience! I just wanted to know if the automatic mirrors work when you use the keyless entry door handles? According to your videos they work by the remote and the inside door lock buttons but do they unlock/lock by the keyless entry method? Thanks!

You might want to test the settings in the car menu. Some people put the setting for When you put the car from park and shift into drive, the door locks will automatically lock. Maybe this will close the mirrors automatically each time you shift to drive. So if you install this product change the settings in the car menu so the doors don’t lock when you put the car in drive and unlock when you put in park.
Just an idea to check.
No, everything works fine, I have that setting on, the new switch has 3 modes, close, open and lock, when you drive and the lock goes on the mirrors stay open

Hi, yes
I just got mine in, and I have the rav4 2023 limited. So, the issue i ran into was the wiring for the heated mirrors. It doesn't unplug like the older models and youll need to remove the heat shrink tubing on the area where it is connected. I had to order some more heat shrinks so I can disconnect. The disassembly isn't a problem it's the wiring.

Hi Bullet, thank you for sharing all this, one quick question if you do not mind, are both mirrors required to be installed before testing? I was able to install the driver side but noticed that it is not folding and unfolding the mirror sadly, I am wondering if it is because the passenger mirror is not installed or something that I messed up, all the OEM buttons are working fine though

Were you able to get it working? I just installed the motors into both mirrors but the folding isn’t working on either one. My OEM functions do, though.
@@LorenzoAmbrizyes!, there is one part that is not in the video, you need to plug one switch into the control that handle the mirror buttons( beside the new cable that control the fold and unfold) is a large one in the driver side, also the green cable that comes from the mirror has a black cap that need to be removed and it will expose the pins that will clip in the other side, it was not really clear for me but worked after that, also make sure the modules are installed in the right side, the module that has a white label covering the entry goes to the driver side
@@jorgevasquezangThank you!! The black cap from the motor cable was the issue. You’re right that it’s not immediately apparent that there’s something to remove but both mirrors worked once I made that adjustment.
Hey. I have the older gen folding mirror, but It never got folded when I used my aftermarket compustar T13 remote. It used to work and folded with the OEM remote. I took it off the can, and cut the blue/green and added 5 wire relays to open and closed the mirror. I wonder if the new one will work with the T13. I guess I will have to buy it and check.
Hey, the new one should work because hit has nothing to connect under the steering column, everything is connected to the doors

@@BulletSolano Hey I just got the new wireless mirrors. I want to tell you that you were right, It does open and closed with the Compustar T13. Also I used the same old motors from the olds system. They work with the new wireless system you just need to connect them wire to wire because the plugs between them are not the same.

I see at car trim home another version very similar with only one black box but that has a switch that is illuminated?? Or really, its not required as turning locking and opening doors should automatically open and close the mirrors or so it seems...........

So, lets say you need to fold the mirrors to get into a tight space. Thus you hit the fold mirror button and move into the space and then turn the car off. Then you do your shopping, come back and Open the doors. Will the mirrors open, and potentially hit an obstruction that you had folded the mirrors to avoid. In other words, the question I have is ........ Do the mirrors OBEY the manual closing using the switch, requiring a manual opening via the switch, OR is the system 'dum" and upon the next opening of the doors blindly unfold the mirrors?
If you close the mirrors with the button they gonna stay close even if you lock or unlock the doors

Yes, in the control it has automatic and manual mode
@@BulletSolano Weird... I had the exact same kit as yours professionally installed and the mirrors would always autofold when locked even if i leave the switch in the open position. Strangely enough if I leave the switch in the close/fold position and lock the car, the mirrors would stay open/unfolded. Any idea what could cause this?
