Pulitzer, 2016 Nobel Peace prize, The Grammy, I don't care. This cat writes and performs lyrics like no one before or since. Our generation is blessed to have lived through Bob's legacy.
must admit that didnt listen Dylan for decades, when was 15-20 he was a one of the best, but listening this at 54, it just proves that this guy is one of greatest poets and songwriters in last 60 years, a true masterpiece, youngs - listen this and learn!
Bob should have gotten the Nobel Prize for Literature just for two lines. 'Just to think it all began on a uneventful Morn'. On awakening, our state is yet to be either exciting or surprising.
I was there! Cool, almost drizzly day as I recall... Elbowed our way almost to the front row in front of the stage... Here's to you, Patty-poo, if not for you I'd never have been at that concert..
Awesome memory, thanks for sharing. I was only 9 days old when this concert took place. When I found this song at 20+ I felt like it spoke to my soul! Cherish your memories and bless you forever ❤
I still remember hearing the electric version on the Budokan album for the first time. I knew the acoustic version well and didn't recognise it till he started singing. It's amazing. Infact I'm here because I was telling my son about the experience. I just played him the acousic version and now this. There'll never be another like Dylan.
There are some people, whose greatness rises to such a high level, who will never be forgotten. Einstein, Newton, Dickens, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln. People will forever refer to them. Bob Dylan is on that list.
But they are not stories, at least mostly. They are mixed up abstract different images put into one song. Unlike story, which seems to always have a beginning, middle part and an end.
You got that right, who else could put such poetic lyrics together , referencing the bible, that I am sure many ppl don’t see it. He is really better than Shakespeare, who also used bible for reference .
The Rolling Thunder Review is one of the best live Dylan albums available. It was a beautiful mix of acoustic and electric Bob Dylan that everyone should check out
Never realized he was singing about the blessed virgin till now. White alabaster feet, translucent thru the light of the moon. Hazel whisps of hair glowing in the light of the sun. Arrayed in the corona of light and many flowers. Stars netted about your eyes and lips and cheeks and fingers. Oh terrifyingly majestic lady. Like an army with many banners. Sound of ten thousand hooves shaking the dull earth below. Give recourse to such as us mighty woman and gentle handmaiden.
I don't know what all the fuss is about.. People need to just stop hearing and just listen to what he is saying. Give your Head a wobble, Haters.. You probably hate youself more than you hate Bob became he tells you like it is and you don't like what you see.. Anyone who presses dislike against Bob Dylan needs to buy a big mirror and take a long look at themselves. The problem is with you, not him.. 🤔🤔🤗🤗😒😭😜
I don't remember where I saw the concert line-up today I found this The Rolling Thunder Revue was a concert tour by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan with a traveling caravan of musicians, including Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn and Ramblin 'Jack Elliott. Bob Neuwirth brought together supporting musicians, including T-Bone Burnett, Mick Ronson, David Mansfield, Steven Soles and Desire Sessions, violinist Scarlet Rivera, bassist Rob Stoner and drummer Howie Wyeth. I must say that Steven Soles is present and the similarity with the photos found on google of the period prove you right

The big smile on the face of the guitar player in a red bandana -- says it all, he MUST know he's a part of something historic✝️🕎
The drummer is killing it!
I noticed that to, it's really good.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that’s one of his filler lines.

The Dude is SIMPLY THE BEST.....And he's shredding the slide guitar here while singing lyrics that are some of the greatest of any song ever written.
Holy crap... i can't believe Dylan is multilingual!
I absolutely love it.
Love his National Glenwood. The perfect choice for that song.
-Tremendously underrated instrument.
He does indeed contain multitudes. And sharing the multitudes with the whole world is a never ending gift.

I can only think of one word for this performance... ''W O W''.
In these times of strife Dylan knows where it’s at
I love this song, it's very intensive, powerful!!! Thanks Mr Bob Dylan ❤ I love ❤😘
I love the stories his songs tell
