The 2023 BMW 3 Series is the perennial mid-size car in the premium segment - if you're a big fan of driving enjoyment. Rear-wheel-drive dynamics and a sporty chassis are a promising combination, after all.
Naturally, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4 rival put up a big fight, but the recently facelifted 3 Series is arguably the cream of the crop. But does that make it fit for families, who are generally flocking to SUVs, like the related X3?

The 3 Series goes up against the RWD Lexus IS not the FWD ES that’s basically an even nicer Camry SL Hybrid. More of a comfort cruiser not a sports sedan.

3 Series has always gone up against the RWD C Class. The FWD 1 Series and A Class are in the class below.

a good handler but bordering too stiff on poor surfaces; driving a rental currently. Im 5ft 11, 115 kg and struggle a little getting in and out; have to drop in quite low but struggle getting my legs between the seat and the wheel

You're likely to find the 320i to be more comfortable than the C43. The latter is a performance-focused AMG model, so it comes with sports suspension, which tends to be less forgiving around town.

It surely is beautiful and is a contender. It's just that Mercedes Benz have been on the crown for too long and the name is highly regarded world wide. They also live up to expectations and are highly innovative. I think Mercedes Benz showcases nobility, prosperity and maturity. What can BMW do to remove Mercedes Benz from the throne!?🙄🙄 I love the car and would buy it. It's just complete and lacks nothing according to my observation. It retails from R780,000.00 here in South Africa. Thats almost a million. The Jo'burg & Cape Town Forex boys don't think twice but just buy them with their 'eyes closed.'Thanks for the video, solid presentation in a man's dominated space.
