💎BONUS TIP: On the lead vocal (before the parallel aux) try reducing the high end via a high shelf to rebalance the vocal and send less of that nasty high end into the parallel aux. This way on the parallel aux, you’re creating harmonics and excitement from the mid range which can result in a smoother top end!
Thanks I will try this parallel processing in my next piece! By the way, fresh air plugin is amazing and free! Anyone who doesn't have that one should test it out.
Awesome! Appreciate you watching. Hope it works for you! And yeah I completely forgot to mention that it was free in the video 🤦🏼♂️ but I did include it in the description.
@@Prodbykahlert yeah agreed, but when those high frequencies become more audible from a low cut, they don’t sound great. So the main issue I was dealing with was not just brightening up the vocals but trying to create upper harmonics to create a smoother high end using an exciter, specifically on a parallel aux to blend that effect to taste. Just another method that can potentially enhance a nasty high end that worked for me 😎
@@daxhammabeats if you got access to plugin alliance plugins try Elysia karacter bro for that colorful harmonic… Haven’t used actual DAW in long time but that used to spice things up especially with the high end using SM7B I also recommend Art pro voice tube amplifier for that warmth needed to make harmonics easier .. God Bless
@@Prodbykahlert but ya bro real quick just want to say I highly recommend a phono precision preamp into the interface at least for sm7b users don’t just use preamp in the interface it gets the job done but could sound crispier and more natural and full with a designated pre if you got compressor and EQ to add to the chain amen if not you’ll be fine with just the pre into the interface into the computer..
sounds phased over the high end... almost like you recoreded without a de-esser... sound wayyy to harsh, could possibly work better on a less mid range vocal

@@steviek6484 my pleasure!
You get bonus points for positioning your mic correctly: thus the focus is on you and not on a "hanging carrot". 👍
😂😂😂 I can’t stand when I see these mics like that.
Damn 🔥 please release your vocal template 🙏 im 💯 down to buy it!
@@LJ-ie8wj thank you! I’m in the process of creating one! Will key you know when it’s done 💯💯
@daxhammabeats appreciate it, man can't wait 🙌
or just cut low frequencies which will naturally boost the higher frequencies. I found that fresh air often gets u into a mixing death spiral

What would you say is the next upgrade mic on a budget from the sm7B for rappers
Did you unsend the lead vocals from the master first and then send them to the parallel bus ? Just trying to understand
Just curious
?!?! Pls
Eyy what’s that track called?
“Something old and unreleased” 😂😂
