This is super late, but you can just get a micro sd to sd adapter and back up all of your files on your pc
I restarted 10 times but to no avail. Almost tear open my switch, but decided to blow into the SD card compartment (like how we did with the gameboy cartridge) and it works well!

Just thought I’d comment. Once I tried a different sd card in my switch and realised it was the sd reader in the switch and not my card, I saw a video of someone replacing the reader and realised it’s literally behind the back panel and can easily fall out of place.
I opened the switch up and lifted the padded sticker, plugged the ribbon cable back in and reinforced the tape, SD card is working and no problems so far!
Yes, if it's not detected the solution is on hardware side, personally I followed this video which is similar to what you described: ruclips.net/video/z8U2CTTB0ys/видео.html but it reuses the same tape, so renewing/reinforcing it as you said may be a good idea!
So my microSd card hasent been working since the day of thanksgiving and I tried all the methods and nothing has worked do you think I might have to get a new one or have the switch get fixed?

My SD card was brand new and didn't download any games to it for several days, it only transfered data to it. But one day it randomly fixed itself and started functioning perfectly.
Mine worked for a year and i waited 2 years for it to "fix itself"
Yeah I had the issue where the console just wouldn't retain the SD card. So, I just pressed down on my SD card with a mini flathead until it finally retained it. Felt like I broke it. Eh oh well. I feel like this console was not subject to the same QA that previous consoles went through.

This just happened to me recently and I can't play 80% of my games now.
I have had my Switch since launch day and have had this SD card for a few years now... it just started having these problems today. After having worked just fine the other day. The issues did not seem to help at all. Heck, after trying a few things, no game will even boot up with it on. Guess it's just completely dead and will need a new one.
Im in that situation... Did you bought a new one? And could you restore your games?
@@morrisdekker06 yeah i bought a new one. The games and saves in it were pretty much fine. Only thing I lost were all my screenshots. Which I have backed up on my laptop.

Why would it keep telling me to format my sd card almost once a week. And I've checked on every game I have and it says no corruption found.
I’ve had my micro sd card for 2 years. I have never removed it. All of a sudden today I keep getting the error that the card is removed and I should turn the Nintendo switch off before removing it. @@Bog8686 nope I just took out the card thereby ending the issue and transferred all the data I cared about to the main system. I then proceeded to lose the chip so… I’ve lost all my photos and a small bit of save data but otherwise unharmed. I’ve been looking for an excuse to upgrade to the oled edition anyway so it’s sort of a blessing in disguise really
@@strangeitch thing is your switch might be moddable, could be valuable to repair it. Right now after I replaced SD reader same issue. So it could be fpc connector on motherboard. People do these repairs look up switch SD fpc repair.

yeah idk if anybody could help me with this but I would appreciate it 😭 my micro sd card slot just doesn’t accept the card and idk why, It’s a sandisk 512 gb so it’s not too big or unsupported but the switch just doesn’t let it click into the slot for some reason

I had my Switch since launch and never had a single problem. Traded it in after getting the brand new Zelda OLED a few days ago and this problem occurred. I think the Switch and SD card de-synced due to long use/dust in the slot. Seems okay now only happened once so far.

No, your best bet is to replace the sd card slot itself or open the switch and fix the connectors
All that work gone I downloaded ng and it mess my SD card it's not detected found it was corrupt but still can't clean it don't want to format it
Hello I have a SanDisk official Nintendo SdCard after about a month of use the Sd Card just stopped working. Whenever I would download something into the card it would download and the I could open the game. However I couldn’t play the game would just load, then crash with an error code. When attempting to move data from the SD card to switch memory it will load for like a minute and then will say unable to access SdCard
The card is a MicroSDXC 252 gigabit it’s the card that’s yellow with a star on it.

@@pc_boi5307 From what I understand, the only option is to send it to Nintendo (They will fix it for free even without a warranty in most cases since it is a design flaw) or change the SD card reader yourself. Not too hard to do, but I'm not taking my wife's switch apart and living to tell the tale lol.
I bought an original card from SanDisk with a reading capacity of 200 MB, but the download is still very slow. I hope you can help me find the solution, knowing that I have updated the device.

I took out the MicroSD card to copy the contents to my computer to copy, so I can use it in aother Switch. The computer won't see the MicroSD card, I put it back in my Switch, the one it came out of, and it's asking me to format. I have a feeling I lost everything.

I've had a switch for a year now and finally got to the point where I needed an SD card for more games. I bought a brand new one for 50 bucks at gamestop, put it in and it wouldn't read. Putting in and taking out the card many times can damage the reader or the connector (shitty design I know) probably send it into Nintendo if it's under warranty.

Honestly nintendo switch isnt worth it in my opinion. I spent so much money on this thing, loved it for so long and then eventually I bought a 64gb sd card. It quickly ran out of space so I deleted all the games I installed with that sd card and then restarted my switch a lot of times and then I put in my 1TB sd card. It says Corrupted Data when I try to redownload the games I used to play when I had the 64gb card. I have tried everything but it says "No Corrupted Data found." when I check for Corrupted data but when I try to download it, still says "Corrupted Data". Anyone know how to fix this? I am desperate to get to play my games again. Otherwise I will most likely sell my switch. Im not trying to complain even tho I kinda am, I love switch so much and dont regret buying it but this is an issue they have to fix. On my switch rn, it says "1 hour 27 minutes remaining" on the download of one of the games I played on the other sd card so it seems to be working, but it did that a few hours ago and I let it download for many hours and when I came back, it had cancelled the download bc of the corrupted data thing again. Really annoying issue.
