Hi guys, Michael from Australia here. Love your reaction. I have followed Nightwish and Epica for many years. These 2 Dutch women are on point. They are amazing vocalists.
Good thing this was a 3 hour show, and all the songs are on RUclips, since you liked the orchestra with them so much. Within Temptation is another symphonic band that did a concert(Black Symphony)with an orchestra. Ice Queen and Mother Earth are a couple songs played at that show.
I second that! Black Symphony set the standard for concert recordings for quite a while, until Nightwish Wacken 2013 came around! And WT is just another rabbit hole!

This particular venue was anniversary for Epica so when in their home country part of the tour they brought orchestra. And Simone Simons was pregnant in this.
“Retrospect” was Epica’s (on March 23, 2013) most ambitious project to date, joined by the 70-piece The Hungarian _Extended Remenyi Ede Chamber Orchestra (symphonic) and Choir of Miskolc National Theatre, international guests and lots of special effects. Others expressed their sadness of not being able to make it to the Netherlands and thus missing out on the opportunity to be part of what will be the greatest EPICA show. Cheers from Finland! It was great watching & listening you three react to "Holy Land", which was written by Epica's front woman Simone Simons. According to her, it's about someone who died and believes s/he's in heaven, but s/he is actually in hell, but s/he feels good there, so this is where s/he belongs. P.S. This was a great concert with one of the most epic light shows I have ever seen. With the live orchestra and choir and everything else I wonder what the cost was, but it was worth it. Lots of intertwined connections between Floor and Epica. She used to be roommates with Simone, Arjun has used both singers extensively in his Ayreon project, and Mark Janse (the guy who called out Floor's name at the end, no relation to her) was in Floor's band After Forever before he left to found Epica. And a big thanks to your brother David for allowing us to share this amazing journey with you. Keep rocking.🤘🤘🤘
Gladd you all reacted to this one. A masterpiece vocally by the Siren (Simone) and the Valkyrie Queen (Floor). Here's another rabbit hole for you: Floor's band before Nightwish was called Revamp and Floor and Simone had another live duo called Sweet Curse - excellent song! If you decide to go down that rabbit hole check out Revamp's songs from the Pinkpop festival: Disdain and The Trial of Monsters. Revamp only had 2 albums so it's a small rabbit hole. @@crissyperry1080 Aha, ....Maiden, the Paul Di'Anno era too?
Surprised Queensryche is not mentioned?
@@2ndhandsoulsmusic i think Patrick was just asking you all to share verbally or in the comments the bands you were into along your music upbringing
Your comments to Sancta Terra is incomplete without doing the song Stabat Mater Dolorosa also by both female vocalists Floor and Simone. So, what is next 🦉🎼🎸?
Xena and Gabrielle on Stage Please next. Stabat mater Dolorosa. The same concert. But warning 🤗😊it is full classical 🤘
I concur!
For more heavy metal with orchestra you might find interesting also Islandic band Skálmöld, e.g.:

Hi! Would be nice to know what you all are saying when the music is not paused as well.
We tried that, but for some reason there was a strange echo really bad.
@@2ndhandsoulsmusic It's cause you don't wear headphones. That's what other reactors have to do in order to avoid sound issues. The mic picks up the song and you also have the video sound so it causes the echo. Of course you guys have a nonstandard format with all of you listening so whatever works for you.
First fines the Nigthwisch rabbethol, wy love to wats you all, nice people always good to comming to the internet ,we want to see if you get the same vibe,s of Nigthwisch ore wy hef and yes even more .thats way wy live you all,🤘🤘❤️❤️🤘🤘

Nice 1. Check out Within Temptation
Re Alabama The first time I drove down I20 through Alabama I remember looking at all the red dirt and piney woods and thinking .. "Damn. Might as well be back in Arkansas".
They are long time friends, and have done some duettos together beside this one, e.g. "Sweet Curse" and "Stabat Mater Dolorosa" 🤗
If Simone's windmilling looks lame, well, she was pregnant.
the two dutch warrior princesses together, leathel by voice ;-)
Alabama has power now? Well, MORE power to you all! 🙂
Great reaction. Welcome to the interzones. Rock on...
they use those stands in design your universe at the start
Thanks for the luv you guys give us ...
Hey guys!! Me again. Good reaction!!! I'm a grown man but Floor makes me cry. Greettings
🙄
This is the whole nine yards guys. Simone and Floor are long time friends who's voices blend extremely well. Love the reaction and surprised looks when you noticed the orchestra and choir. Well, love you guys. Hope you enjoyed your weekend! Best wishes from the UK.
Hi guys! I noticed you said you were from Alabama....whereabouts (without getting too specific). I ask because I live in Marianna Florida, about 30 miles south of Dothan. Always good to meet fellow southerners, especially ones on the same 'symphonic metal' journey I am on.
Gurley, Alabama roughly about 15 miles east of Huntsville.
Delain ft. Marco Hietala - The Gathering - Masters of Rock 2017. Greetings from Finland. There would be a new proposal to be made available here. This is where Delain's female soloist Charlotte Wessels and Marko Hietala rock together at Masters of Rock 2017. Marko sings awesomely with Charlotte.
I love Simone.... she is incredible... Floor is the best singer in the world... its so good to see that these amazing women are still great friends... love it.
You guys are awesome. It's allways a joy to see your reactions.
Great one guys. Keep your adventure going 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥

Nice one guys 🤘🤘🤘
Most excellent pick, thank you for reacting to this song. They fit well together and the band, orchestra & choir was amazing!! Here is a new band that I know you will absolutely love. The band's name is "SCARFACE" and this song features Patty Gurdy who plays a hurdy gurdy and sings. This one is right up your alley and I promise you that you'll love it!! Please react to it!!! Most excellent pick? Only for Floor fans. This song is nothing compared to other outstanding EPICA songs. 🙄
First of all, thank brother David for me as well, because what he saw is right, I really enjoy you and your channel and your own music. Also nice to hear about some background, that you started with a generator and had to collect water to take a shower, I love that. I am an outdoor person and love living primitive, although I haven’t done that for a while.
Btw I use to have celestion speakers years ago, they are the best imo, I gave them to my cousin who is still enjoying them. I love this song, two of my favorite women together with a great band and orchestra. 🫶🤘🇳🇱
We will. Thank you so much and God bless.
Oh no. Don't set the bar low for EPICA just to appease Floor fans. Sancta Terra is nothing compared to their other songs. 🙄

Floor and Simone were roommates for awhile, and Floor vocal coached her in those days....they're besties.....Simone was wearing high heels, Floor flat heeled boots....Simone was also about five months pregnant at the time......now, check out the band Unleash the Archers doing their song "Awakening" .......what part of 'bama are you in....I was born in Walker County; distant family there, and Cullman County
