    The thing that make billy different is Billy he would tell you other people play better than him, sing better than him,and even have done the whole Jam thing before him, But as a singer songwriter,guitar player, and just as a relatable person/ performer he it the whole package.

    Umm, He has been doing this for many years. It is what a prodigy does. Started at age 3 years and by his 20’s described his music as progressive bluegrass with psychedelic influences
    Not to mention metal and constantly working on his craft
    They don’t let just anybody play at Lincoln Center 🙂

    Newgrass Revival, Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident… Improvisation and bluegrass have been around for decades.

    One of my favorite parts of seeing them live is when they’re on those extended jams and making sounds you had no idea could be made with those string instruments

      Same here !! They are breaking into a new world of bluegrass, very cool to see. And the harmonies, the way they play together is amazing

      @@mikemenzamusic Yeah their ability to shred together while never stepping on each other’s toes is incredible. 5 masters at their craft that somehow someway seem to still be getting better

    Hit and miss with the psychedelic stuff. Some of it seems long winded and it has to be the right venue or else all it sounds muffled... ie sounds better outdoors than indoors... no dou t hes a legend and master as is each if band members

    • @mikemenzamusic
      @mikemenzamusic  18 дней назад

      Yea I saw him outdoors and it sounded great ! I also think it might be tough playing acoustic and getting the sound levels right without getting feedback in the monitors at such a high volume.

    Yeah man, you finally did see the light, and with those pupils the size of backhoe tires such as they are in this video, I believe you are STILL seeing it. 😆

    Billy Strings live is absolutely an experience unique to itself! He's a phenomenal performer & throughout the entire crowd there's an insanely palpable positive energy vibe for the duration of the show. His live shows NEVER disappoint, seemingly the opposite as a matter of fact. His shows get better with each one I see. The next one is always better than the previous one. My first time seeing Billy live was October 2021, as of August 2024 my Billy live show count is #7. With my tickets already secured for Billy live show #8 & #9 coming up in December. . .
    Anyhoo, I'll quiet down now, lol...
    ...pardon my endless chatter, I do apologize😊
    🎉BMFS is the GOAT 🐐!!!!

      Yea ! It’s really cool to see how much his music has evolved over the years ! I can’t wait to see what direction he will go next. I really hope that I get to see him again. When you saw him back in 2021 was he playing big Amphitheaters like that ? Seems like he broke into a huge audience fast !

      @@mikemenzamusic The first venue for me was at Harrah's Cherokee Center Asheville NC. Which has a capacity of roughly 7,700. I've been to 4 Billy shows at this venue because it's his closest venue to my location, less than 45 minutes from my house. I've also seen him at Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary, NC, LJVMC in Winston-Salem, NC, & Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC. Provided the world is still spinning come December I'll be going to the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN for both nights. I figured a double header live Billy show roughly 600 miles from home would be a fantastic opportunity for me & my husband to celebrate 5 years of wedded bliss. Instead of a delayed "honeymoon " I'll refer to that weekend as the "BillyMoon" or our "Billyversary"😂
