- Open Air was BBC1's flagship programme for their new daytime service which began on 27 October 1986. In 1987 an additional early morning episode was added, following the end of Breakfast Time, to help promote and inform viewers what topics would be covered in the main edition.
Open Air was similar to Channel 4 programme Right To Reply, as it discussed all aspects of television and also tried to answer any questions which viewers had. Unlike Right to Reply, Open Air went out live on a daily basis and had live phone-ins. The series covered all television channels and would often have programme makers and television management explaining their actions. It ended in 1990, after 4 series.
In this edition from 1988, presenter Eamon Holmes broadcasts live from the Penns Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, originally used as a location for filming outdoor scenes of soap opera "Crossroads".
Cast members Jane Rossington, Tony Adams, Lynette McMorrough, Kathy Staff and Paul Henry are joined by Larry Grayson and fan and founder of the Noele Gordon and Crossroads Appreciation Society John Jameson-Davies as they all look back at the series which was due to end on Easter Bank Holiday Monday 1988.

Larry was absolutely lovely......crossroads "stars" creepy as fuck.
My brother and I still call each other Meg …
It's obvious irritating Eamon Holmes knows little about Crossroads, and cares less; he doesn't know who the protagonists were, and keeps referring to "the hotel" throughout, among other faux pas ...
Once the better self or as thebrd to a better me is the information played to its my need is important. Working not in a way to return my illness is important so work is important as I recover .nit is hugely expensive to do this in money and it the pain to say don't go back to that trap it is to go back correct with less self damage
