I just love hearing these guys discussing such a superb car. The total commitment to their subject is great, and the bit about the name of the colour is a real treat. Well done guys.
This must be the only Continental T Mulliner which is odd because it lacks all the Mulliner badges on the fenders, the kick plates, and the boot. It also lacks the vents on each front fender. It's not a Mulliner, but still a great car!
Beautiful Continental T, and a Mulliner at that! The newer and ubiquitous Continental GT has become the McDonald's hamburger of Bentley's. But these older Continentals are special, and a whole other breed... And buying used luxury and sports cars is the only way to go. It's not worth buying new unless you're so wealthy it doesn't matter. This car appears new.
This is a Continental R wide bodied model, made to look like a T. All Continental T's had a turned Aluminium Dash. If it was a Mulliner edition, it would have had side vents and different door sills. Also, the seats would be diamond quilted leather.
Aluminium dash was a standard option. In reality you could get anything you wanted as an option. Typical was burl walnut veneer but also very exotic veneers were selected to cars. Most special comissioned ones had amazing detailings like flowers made from veneers and I believe that some tasteless customers even did chose gold plating.
Plus the side window shows clearly that car isn't widebody R as the window is the 4 inch short and that way for sure this car is T. This is of course matter of taste and debate, but R has better looking profile as roolfline looks sleeker with longer side window.
That would be a modified GM 4L80E auto (I would think) but I think Bentley uses a ZF 6 auto. You know even Chrysler is using a ZF 8 speed for their Chrysler 300, Charger and Ram pickup truck. And that even makes the performance even more awesome.
No idea...But I will go out on a limb and say that here in the states depending where you live it would be hard to find someone that knew what they where doing on them at any price...

I love the irony, you must be a Brit.

I've noticed many T models in the US with wood dash instead of aluminum, unfortunately.
