Yes sir, my thought exactly. It’s time to bring back the true sound of country music and get rid of the tin can mess they try to pass as country today.
I am fascinated by this good 'ole boy from Kentucky - His personality and talent are amazing. I could watch him all day. A diamond that will shine forever. Who cares for the new age trappings, this is comfort food, and it is very pleasing. Keep that originality intact. You can own this style and persona.
He's got one of the best voices I've heard on American Idol, hope he wins.

I was raised on traditional country and play and sing myself. It's cool that a young guy is carrying the torch, but he's not that great. Certainly not better than, well...any other winner. Ever. If I'm being honest, I'm a better singer than he is.

@@jakeblank94 Evidently you do not know how George was,.. he always gave credit where Credit was due, that is what the Song Who's gonna Fill their shoes was all about, It was about recognizing and honoring and giving homage to other past outstanding singers & performers in the industry, who have passed on, recognizing the fact that he himself could not fill ""their" shoes ( thus admitting they were better than him ).Yes George was one of the greatest and one of the élite members of the Grand Ole Opry and had many Gold records and awards, , but I remember an interview he did back in the late 90s where he was talking about his career and the conversation turned to the Future of Country Music and he said ( going by memory here) something to the effect of he recognized the fact that there was a lot of other well deserving outstanding talented singers out there, that will take over the reigns and His only wish was that the the newer artists keep the traditional Country music style alive and keep the torch burning and never forget the ones who paved the way ..

Is this the return of Lefty Frizzell and real country music? There have been a few, maybe more than a few, but I don't see this kid doing country rap/hiphop!!!! Very refreshing, soothing, and above all, 'country'.
