Love the tanks man. One of the best reef tanks on RUclips. One suggestion i would like to give is take the return of your UV sterilizer and put it in the return chamber of your return pump of your Sump, so you can ensure your not recirculating UV water with your current setup
Thanks! That was my initial plan as well but since I’ve alway used that chamber to add baling, kalkwasser etc I don’t want to risk the protective quartz sleeve getting covered by a film from that.
Nice Setup! I wouldn't worry about the wires at all!!! It's a working sump. The cords just make it easier to unplug and remove things when needed. Looks good to me. 👍 I like your Submariner.

Yeah, it’s my favorite…a fairly well aged piece, made in 91 and I’ve had it for ages. Has taken several dips in reef tanks haha

I have been inspired by you and now I have the same setup for the co2 scrubber, but I have a big problem with the moisture taken from the skimmer, it practically cancels the effectiveness of the co2 scrubber granules. Have you encountered this problem?
Thanks! Nope but I however have a fairly long run from the skimmer to the media. What I would try is to build some sort of an inline moisture trap. Like a jar of some sort with floss in it.
I think it looks good as is. No need for wire management. 👌🔥💯✌️

Hi from a neighbor country! :I Did you ever consider Aurora for your Opus tank? I reguested a quote for Opus 300 from my LFS, and was considering 90cm Aurora vs. 3 XR15s. Looks like the coverage with Aurora would be great for Opus.
I actually did. However, I was very intrigued with the possibility of having the lights rest on the tank like I have them now. If you’re focusing on sps the aurora is as as good as it gets in my opinion
@@viking_reefing Great, thanks! Its a difficult choice, since I'm not sure if I'm going to concentrate on SPS or LPS. But also LPS seem to be really happy in your bigger tank under Aurora :)
One more question, did you order Opus-tank directly from Nyos, or through a local fish shop? I usually support local fish shops with purchases, but was thinking wether direct order from manyfacturer will be considerably cheaper. Only think I'm concerned is getting the tank in one peace :D
@@allfather5972 sure. LPS will also be very happy under the aurora but to be honest, lighting choice matters a lot less with lps.
The tank was actually given to me to review so I can’t really comment on your second question. I try to support my LFS as much as I can but if something’s like 20% cheaper somewhere else and it’s a high cost item I’d probably go with that option.

Hi, i have 50 mg sander ozon running to my Nyos skimmer, i run about 20mg for 4 hours/day in 350 l tank.
How do you run your ozon, how much and for how long? Have you tried diffrent amount and runningtimes?
It’s controlled by my profilux so how long I run is based on what my orp is at. I run it full stop so 200mg/h

Do you see value in a biopellet reactor?
In some instances but I think it’s a fairly bad way to do carbon dosing as it’s not exactly precise.
