@TheirWorldAquatics I am going to actually.. a lot has changed.. more tanks, it's actually a farm now and I'm selling coral online for the last 3 years..
This is just the next level of reefing as a hobbyist...just wow...BCR I love it how you have it plumbed it through your hot water tank for heating the tank thts just unreal...great invention...keep it up..
Great tour - you made it easy to understand how it all works! And that barrel for extra volume - what a great place from which to do small-ish water changes! No flora or fauna to disturb, gets itself a clean out at the same time. And by the time the new water reached the tank, it would be well mixed with the existing water. 🤔 That’s something I’ve never thought of, that I’d certainly incorporate if I ever did a large system..... And your heat exchanger - LOVE that idea! It’s awesome to see behind the scenes like this! 👍🏻👍🏻
nice reef set up buddy i like it by the way i have the same eco rail kit for my new lights i like the rail kit it give it a clean look. keep up the good work.......
Your right it's not as complicated when you go through everything is just big. The plumbing makes it look crazy but that comes from adding stuff as you go. One question. In the large container that you have for extra volume do you ever have to clean it out? That seems like it would be a real task if you did. Great video keep up the good work.
Thanks Arrick. Yes I do clean what settles at the bottom about twice a year. It actually is pretty easy. I made a video of this if you watch this.. ruclips.net/video/Uk23gttZ_6g/видео.html
It's an awesome system but seems like potential flooding issue with the matched flow pumps should a failure arise. Possibly raising the tubs with live rock gravity draining them back to the sump and isolating the frag system would be an economical solution. Either way though nice system keep up the videos 👍
Extra water is nice but, not when nutrients get out of hand. Love your setup. I just help this. You said the money you spend in salt is crazy and you try to minimize maintenance, yet you have the equivalent of Sea World in your basement. Wouldn’t it save you a ton of money and time to simplify back to the tank and a sump and maybe a frag tank?
The main return pump being used is a reeflo hammerhead gold hybrid.. I'm estimating the head height at about 16 feet before any turns or 90s affect it more
Thank you. It is controlled by the apex. I have a temp probe and tell the recirculating pump to come on and an electric ball valve to open when the temp drops below 77 degrees.
It was a 55kbtu exchanger I found in Ebay for about $175. It was installed in line with on of my drain lines that typically has a full siphon. Check out one of my previous videos where I show how I installed it. I hope this helps. ruclips.net/video/gNnMThAYZoE/видео.html
WOW!!! OUTSTANDING BUILD OUT. Love a crazy filter. SUBSCRIBED!!!!
Thank you so much! Follow me on IG as well. That is where I post most of my content right now.
@@BlueCarbonReefing You should do an update video for the RUclips channel. Last one looks like 2020?

Thanks Ash. I didn't invent it. Just using someone else's good idea.

Thanks Cindy. There has been a lot of thought and research into what goes on behind the scenes.
Excellent !!!
WOW!! Wicked setup! Nice Job!👍😎
Thanks Sherry!
Here I am managing a 30 gallon system, lol. Great job and vid!
Thanks Method.
Very nice walk through. Awesome system 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks Jeff
Wow and here it is I'm scared to plumb my 90 gallon again and add a manifold

Thanks DM! I will eventually need more lighting I am sure but i haven't decided on what yet.
Wow! Amazing work man!
Thanks Jonas
You can dose so much kalk in a system like this

Thank you. I have a few safe guards in place after flooding a few times.

The pros outweigh the cons.. I do less water changes and just rely on stability
What are you using for return pumps and how high is the head pressure . Thanks
The main return pump being used is a reeflo hammerhead gold hybrid.. I'm estimating the head height at about 16 feet before any turns or 90s affect it more
this made me LOL🤣😂
What part?
How do you adjust the temperature on the heat exchanger? Incredible setup!
Thank you. It is controlled by the apex. I have a temp probe and tell the recirculating pump to come on and an electric ball valve to open when the temp drops below 77 degrees.
Ahhh. Gotcha. So the water isn’t flowing through it all the time. Only when you need it. Very cool
Yes definitely only when you need it. It will heat up the tank a half of degree in 5 to 6 minutes
Damn dude just wow. So complex... How long did it take you to get all this done?
Most of it was set up with the first few weeks. I have added to it over the last couple of years.
What size of the titanium heat exchanger did you go with? How do you install it.
It was a 55kbtu exchanger I found in Ebay for about $175. It was installed in line with on of my drain lines that typically has a full siphon. Check out one of my previous videos where I show how I installed it. I hope this helps. ruclips.net/video/gNnMThAYZoE/видео.html
What type/model is your big pump that pumps back upstairs?
Reeflo hammered gold hybrid
what return pump do you use
The main return pump I use to send everything back upstairs to the display is a reeflo hammerhead/ barracuda gold
