Great beginner snowboard for local snow falls in Missouri, not sure this would be for any major “mountain” snowboarding but he had fun on our hills. My 11yo had a great time with this during our last snowfall!
these are some of my favs for sure dude! I also love doing tripods into or out of some of these butters. Another really fun one you can change up is nollie into tailpress or nose press and swivel around in ethier direction and make up rad little butter combos.
I can butter, but didnt realize I was going too far. Thanx for the tips. I'll have to make some improvements. Hittin the hill next mth. Norquay Alberta.
Sick steezy style TJ, love the look of butter tricks and lower consequence if you mess up. I’m trying to focus more time on these this season. Dope edit🤙🏼.
@boardarchive cant wait to see your review on the Marhar Lumberjack, I spotted the corner of it in the vid. Im getting one for the aus season this year. Cant wait!
Man I love butter tricks. It's why I went for the funslinger mostly. I wanted to work on butters. I can tail press and backside and front side spin on my tail. Nose presses feel super wobbly and not under control. Not sure why. I do them all the time stopped on flat ground. Really want to up the butter game though.
Sweet butters! Any tips on how to tail press better without leaning to either the heel or toe side? Finding presses really difficult on my Arbor Iguchi. Maybe too stiff?
I have this exact same problem. I can press and (n)ollie fine when standing still, but always lean to one side or the other when I'm moving. Would love to know how to fix this.
Steve Okay Most of the time, straying sideways happens because the press isn’t being fully locked into. Focus on holding your foot down harder for the press and really leaning back/forward. Leaning enough will really help get more edge control and lift on either foot-you need to actually pull your foot up to get that press on the other side. Hope this helps!
@@taquito2606 Cool. I will try that the next time I'm out. I've been leaning back hard, but lifting my front foot isn't something I've paid a whole lot of attention to.
Hey TJ great video. Also, I have a question about buying the Ride Twinpig. I’m 5’7, 125 pounds and I’m looking to buy it but I’m not sure whether I should get the 148 size or the 142. You mentioned in that video that sizing down is a good idea with that board, so what size would you recommend for my height and weight?
General Info Thanks for the help man. If I buy it I’ll definitely get the 142 then. Do you know much about the durability of the top sheet? I read on a forum post that people were having issues with the topsheet chipping/peeling really easily. It’s kinda putting me off from buying it so if you know anything about that please lmk
Hey TJ, respect to you for helping people learn new tricks mate! In the interest of education, technically the term 'Cab' should only be used to describe switch frontside spins off the nose 😉
Looking good for sure now you got to try them at full speed. I think it feels safer the faster I go. It’s great watching people freak out when you pass them at Mach 10 all pressed out sliding backwards🦾 you know my steez
You're a legend TJ! Get on that Mecury! It annihilates POWEDER! Hands down the best All Mountain board I've ever ridden, thanks for the recommendation!
Hey TJ, I've been riding the Arbor Formula (155cm) for two years now, having a lot of fun on groomers and entry level park stuff, but I'me really entering intermediate level riding now so I was looking at the Arbor Westmark as I've heard great things from you and the guys. They have it on sale in my local store for the 17/18 model but only in a 153. I'm actually about 180cm but I always found playing around on the 155 Formula to be super fun. Do you think going down to 153 is a bit too low or for that board will it be ok?
can you get back to me if you recomend a snowboard for me and my sister we are going to start snowboarding in the winter........SO FUN I WANT TO LEARN BUTTER.......i love watchin ya. every move that you do makes me laugh
Capita horrorscope, great flat to rocker profile. Soft board and it's on the cheaper side for a snowboard. size down on the board to. Look up some reviews to see if it's for you.
Yeah me. I can skid a front side 180 switch tail press ollie back side skidded 180 catch an edge faceplant like a champ though.

Love your riding technique!

Switch front side noseroll 360 feels nice. Backside tail roll 180 is my second favorite so far. Going to try those combos now!

My 162.5 wide board isnt a fan of butters 😂 I need to pick up a park board before spring.
Hi tj, woke up at 2 am to watch the vid😂
Hero status
I personally love the 'mfm butter' as Snowboard Addiction calls it.
It's not on this but try a switch 360 nose roll off a roller. It's my favorite starter for any butter
You're a legend TJ! Get on that Mecury! It annihilates POWEDER! Hands down the best All Mountain board I've ever ridden, thanks for the recommendation!
All time fav is BS noseroll into cab 540 (can cheat a bit with a 90° butter into 450)
Hot Garbage on a spring day with a fish🤘🏽keeping it gangster😎
Nollie Hot Garbage!, I've seen you do this a bunch of times in other videos, now I know the name!. The swash with the tail-drag looks super-sick!

Some boards I'd recommend checking out to get started is the Capita Pathfinder Rev, YES Basic, Nitro Cheap Thrills, and Bataleon Blow
What stance do you like for butters
Hey who was the rider you got your #1 butter from?
Halldor Helgason
How would you compare the Bataleon Disaster and the Fun.Kink?
The last one only looks good if you do it quick like Haldor.
true
Good one! :) Thanks for the tips
Is it possible to break the board by pressing to hard in butters?
You are so good!
TJ=sick style
Try sone 360 very famous butter trick in Japan
Looks nice 👍 need to try)
1. Front Blunt 270 out
2. Nose press fs 180 out
3. Front 90 nose press !!!
4. Nose Roll
5. Tail Block
How the hell do you do 1:33? When I try it I can only 180 it.
Try to swing your shoulders much harder before the rotation starts, and with nollie, just a little bit it's enough.
Any board recommendation for doing buttering?
Capita horrorscope, great flat to rocker profile. Soft board and it's on the cheaper side for a snowboard. size down on the board to. Look up some reviews to see if it's for you.
I saw that lumberjack in the intro. Don’t try to hide it.
