My favorite of the demon trio is definitely The Golden-Winged Great Peng/The Great Roc/Dapeng Jinchi Mingwang. He’s by far the most threatening and powerful in my opinion. Can you do a dedicated video to him and his strength? I would love to see that!

@@dongbeserious786 That would be so awesome! I would also love it if you could do hypotheticals like who would win between Azure Lion or Yellow Toothed Elephant!

The Golden-Winged Great Peng/The Great Roc/Dapeng Jinchi Mingwang seems to be the name transliterated from Chinese to English. The character set in this novel is actually based on one of the Indian gods-Garuda.
It is difficult to verify exactly when Garuda spread into China, but it is a very special existence in the mythical and fantasy world believed by the Chinese. The Chinese regard the dragon as a symbol of power. Dragons have been around since the Ming Dynasty. It is the emperor's special totem. In Chinese fantasy novels, the power of dragons is powerful. According to legend, Qin Shihuang was the reincarnation of the ancestor of dragons. From this, we can understand the Chinese people's fear and awe of dragons. But Garuda, This kind of bird was introduced to China from the Indian mythology system. It is said that it must eat at least five hundred dragons in one meal. According to the setting of the original novel Journey to the West, the ancestor of the peacock is Garuda's sister, and the Indian peacock Prince Siddhartha, who later became Sakyamuni, was once swallowed by Garuda's sister. Prince Siddhartha, who was in the peacock's belly at that time, did not want to be excreted by the peacock like feces, so it was mixed into the ovary and The peacock's eggs are excreted by the peacock at the same time. Therefore, nominally, Sakyamuni is the son of the peacock ancestor, and Garuda, the younger brother of the peacock ancestor, is Sakyamuni's uncle.

@@dongbeserious786 "Journey to the West" is actually a satirical novel full of political metaphors. First of all, the time background of the story it describes is positioned between 626 and 635 AD. However, the author completed it between 1521 and 1567 AD. This period is quite special in Chinese history. In 626 AD, the "Xuanwumen Incident(玄武門事變)" occurred. Chinese characters describe the first internal purge of the royal family in history. It was very tragic. The relevant information that can be verified to this day is still Very limited. In 1521 AD, a more tragic incident occurred - the "Great Liyi Incident(大禮義事件)". In short, Zhu Houzhen was suddenly designated as the heir to the throne, and his kinship with the previous emperor was too far away, so in Under the strong advice of the courtiers, he was forced to accept another strange family as his nominal family of origin. However, Zhu Houzhen, who was only 15 years old at the time, was very strong and immediately announced after the coronation ceremony that his biological mother was the mother of the empire. Respecting traditional laws and regulations, due to this serious violation, Zhu Houyan, who had become Emperor Jiajing, had to order the collection and adaptation of all relevant documents of traditional laws and regulations to support his actions when he first succeeded to the throne. As a result, the empire suffered a serious crisis. The author of "Journey to the West" was about 50 years old at the time. Like most literary workers, he was very dissatisfied with Emperor Jiajing's series of orders that changed the imperial laws in order to protect his personal reputation. He wrote a book to satirize the emperor. This is the book "Journey to the West".

Although Sun Wukong is very powerful, he was still flawed. He isn’t just some perfect character that was basically undefeatable like Superman. He had character growth, both in personality and in strength
