"Consolation, I want so much, want to feel your touch, tonight" - whether this comes from love/attentiveness of lover, or drink, he's looking for some distraction to take away his bad mood. He also pines to be like her, "your optimistic eyes seem like paradise", he wishes he didn't get down and depressed so easily.
Hello! Glad to have you back. I just wanted to ask if you could react to "Depeche Mode - Corrupt" It's one of my favourite songs and possibly you'll like it too, haha. Greetings from El Salvador.
Thanks for the reaction 👍 Ambiguity is the key to the success of most, (Depeche Mode), songs. Even though sometimes the message may seem blatantly obvious, writer, Martin Gore, has expressed this himself & likes the fact that people can take his words to many different places and maybe apply them to their own lives, which means his/their songs have the ability to touch more people, (which it has done)... Definitely the mark of a great songwriter... Keep up the good work Cookster👍👍👍
This album changed my life, without a word of a lie. ETA: The transition from Black Celebration to Flies is perfect every time (on vinyl or cassette anyway).
Hi friend. Martin Gore said in the 1990-02-17 issue of NME: I don't mind you bringing up existentialism because I am influenced by that. I'm probably as influenced by Camus, Kafka and Brecht as I am by pop songs. Like on 'Black Celebration' where the positive element is the idea of celebrating the end of another grey day."
Could you react to a Glasvegas song? Their my fav band react to songs like Euphoria Take My Hand, Geraldine and It’s My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry
The whole album from 1986 is a masterpiece. Greets from germany.
Wir recht Du hast. Ich höre es noch sehr oft!
Best Period of DM
New dress is so underrated

I can also recommend the numbers "Freelove" and "Only When I Lose Myself".
Both are sublime ;-)
Thank you for this reaction. I didn't know that song from DM and I love it, so thanks a lot! 👋

David Gilmour - In Any Tongue (Live in Pompeii). Make it happen, it's epic!
Another master piece perfected by Alan Wilder after listening to Martin Gores basic demo.
