- This is the most involved build I have done in a long time and I could not be happier with how the video turned out. This is a long one though so be ready for that- 43 minutes of making. This is released with the pattern available in my shop.

As someone who is familiar with Warhammer stuff, Ultramarine is a faction of Space Marines. The armor style is Primaris (Mk 9). You made a Primaris Space Marine helmet. Ultramarines are blue, hence the name.

This looks amazing! I’ll have to buy some foam ASAP and get right on this, I’m on a really tight budget… Maybe super glue would work? I’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it, can’t wait to start this.

To clear up any confusion for 40K fans and non-fans alike: #ultramarine isn’t a type of space marine, it’s a group of space marines. The type of space marine that wears this helmet is a Primaris. And it doesn’t matter. It’s awesome, that’s what matters. This #ultramarinehelmet is freaking cool, we don’t need to get pedantic in the comments about it.

Ive been making helmets from foam and playing warhammer for a few years now and this #ultramarine helmet would be an amazing prop to have.
Hi Ted , couple of questions for you. 1) can the creature cast be brushed on instead of airbrushed (I havent got a compressor large enough to power the gun) 2) how do you stop the helmet wobbling on your head when wearing it?

Yes, you can brush it on. As for fitting the helmet I use upholstery foam cutting strips above the head and along the side so the helmet will fit snug.

This is John O'Donnell again, I got some pics to send of my first project, I'm having difficulty making decisions! Every time I put it down, it seems to evolve into something a little different! Looks awesome! Just to clear it up for you though, they aren't "Ultramarine" helmets, they're helmets for what's called Primaris Marines. It'd be a lot to explain what Primaris Marines are but in short they're greatly improved Marines, faster stronger, less prone to chapter specific mutations, wtc. Still looks amazing though and would absolutely love this to go with beside my McFarlane Models so #ultramarine
