  • Western Swing RULES #12 once again features fiddler Katie Shore of Asleep at the Wheel discussing the iconic song "Faded Love." Just imagine, being that buetifill, and being able to play that good. Katie, you are indeed blessed. Yes, I know you have put a lot of work into your playing. That is obveous, that ability doesn't come easy, you have done your home work. But to look like you, play like you do, and to play with the Wheel. That's what dreams are made of.

Katie thank you so much for this lesson! I'm teaching myself violin/fiddle and having a blast (even though the neighbors plug their ears and the cats start yowling - just kidding). I saw Asleep at the Wheel last April at the Savannah Music Festival an spoke to you briefly after the concert.(I was wearing the Austin Bat Bridge t shirt. Y'all played with such ease and professionalism and I could tell all of you were having just a good time as the audience! Thanks again, Katie!
And Mr Robert Huston thank you for these videos. I appreciate the generosity of these musicians taking the time to teach us! As chickinpickin 1 said, " keep em coming RH!"

Nope! NO Steel Guitar, NO "Western Swing"; NO matter how many other great musicians. Get that SG and do it right! She would never sound better. Oh yeah!
