This is first video on the basics of C6 here on youtube that hasn't made my eyes glaze over. Thanks for SIMPLIFYING stuff! This is the kind of stuff I really need to know explained in ways I understand.
Fluffycat6 - I agree! I love how he explained playing the Maj and minor chords better. Up until now I've been playing the Maj chords on the three lower strings and the minor chords on the top three, but the minor chords always sounded weak. PLEASE do more videos on C6 tuning? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
Only problem with Sleepwalk is that the F in the main progression is minor, so you’ll want to make sure you play an A-flat (or just avoid the third altogether).
Awesome video on C6 basics, but I think talking about the C Major chord and A Minor chord is best understood when talking about the chords from the bottom up, or strings 6, 5 and 4 as C E G, the C Major chord and strings 3, 2 and 1 as A C E, or the A Minor chord, so the viewers can understand where the name of the chord comes from. That's my 2 cents worth, and I hope that is ok here.
I'm a new eletric guitar player (just bought my lap steel). which pedals do i need to buy? which are the most essential for a begginner that will play western swings on C6 tuning? Clean Booster pedals? Reverb pedal? Tremolo pedal? Pedal equalizer? Delay pedal???
@@rzsdad1... Thanks for this video. I just purchased an "el-cheapo" Rogue lap steel to see if I can learn it... at 72 yrs young. lol I have TWO questions for you... 1) What do you mean when you say "keep it "Below" the melody"???..... and 2) I cannot get a C6 tuning out of the strings the lap came with (probably made in China!)... but I did buy another set of Electric Guitar strings at the Guitar Center store where I picked up the Rogue Lap Steel... as they do not stock (in the stores) labeled "Lap Steel Stings". The string gauges in the set that I got (Ernie Ball Nickel Wound) are 9,11,16,24,32 & 42...... any idea as to what tuning might be compatible with this set... knowing from your reply above here, that they are Not the stated gauge that you recommended for C6th tuning..... or, would mine be able to get a C6th tuning, with a different "tone"?? Any help would be appreciated.... sorry for the ignorance of my questions, but I am a Complete Beginner, here. God Bless you, and thanks for any helpful information you can send my way.... will be Greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
You are a good teacher---there's a lot of guys who have all the knowledge and experience you do,, but they can't communicate it well.
Thanks!

You are correct
If you DON'T know that, it doesn't sound bad.
