When you say Ultimate and Absolute seem to be all we care about, won't lie, it's pretty true for me. Mostly because they're all fresh starts and great jumping on points for new fans, as well as those of us who either fell off the main stuff a while ago or are just looking for something new.
In terms of absolute: Batman I don't care about at all (it's just not for me, which is fine), Superman I'm still undecided I need more time with that, only thing I currently actually care about in absolute is Wonder Woman, because - to quote Nightcrawler - "OH, MEIN GOTT!", is she an absolute god damned badass and I love every single panel of it 😂 Now DC just has to make her the lesbian bondage Dom that she was always meant to be :3

One of the more recent synopsis regarding wolverine's memory issues was very clever. The body cannot tell the difference between physical pain and mental pain and his healing ability has been erasing memories which cause him pain, anguish, sadness, sorrow etc. This didn't refute the previous idea regarding different groups messing with his mind but rather added more context. It also mused that the addition of metal coating on his bones damping down his healing ability added additional complexity to the situation.
This ultimate wolverine is dope as hell! I honestly thought it was Bucky before this, but I’m glad to see the 5’3 angry Canadian aka Logan as winter soldier, also.. hopefully this Logan gets a chance of keeping his adimantium and not getting it ripped out
Tony Stark died, the Ultimates got rolled by Hulk's Domain Expansion, and now Night Crawler is dead. That's it. Make Jeff a giant kaiju shark and destroy everything. This universe is cooked.

Like I always said to myself, these so-called x-men fans are hypocrites showing their true colors, bringing hate to a unique take that ms momoko actually bring live again to ultimate x-men title but x-men as a whole. All these people care about seeing popular x-men characters not the deeper themes about x-men. That peach momoko actually bringing to the table, that they ignoring but focus on the surface level.

The soldiers are talking about him at the start of the comic half joking half impressed. One of them makes fun of him for having no parachute and then since its old Ultimate Cap (kind of an ass).. One soldier says: "Didn't you hear? Cap says parachutes are for girls." Then he jumps out.
Hot damn I'm just like everyone else. Loving the Ultimate and Absolute universes right now! The only thing better than reading the comics is listening to Rob's recap and giving thumb ups to all the awesome comments. Love and respect everyone!

It’s crazy that you didn’t even mention the last page of prose. I think that written speech by Nightcrawler added so much to who Logan was. He says how much he would miss him and the friendship they had and that he would always remember the name that he had given him: Elf. To me this says everything we need to know about who Logan was. He was basically the same Logan we all know and love from the main 616 universe. Knowing this makes Nightcrawler’s death truly impactful, not just some edgy throwaway. I also think Wolverine could have been familiar with the scent of Nightcrawler’s blood at the end there, perhaps giving him some idea of who he really just killed: a dear friend. Anybody else have similar thoughts?
Imagine how pissed Colossus might be if he realized he was meant to be a much kinder, gentler person, had the Maker not interfered with their universe and turned him into this subhuman shadow from his influence.

I still don’t think that what Peach is writing should have ever been called X-Men. It should have been “Ultimate Runaways”. So far, even though it isn’t from their parents, it fits the theme. They even brought in Miko, though she’s obviously Japanese, it still lends to it being runaways adjacent. No we have someone that appears to be Logan in that but we also have ultimate wolverine which will hopefully tie it all together. And come on! Uncanny Spider-Man has to be strong. Can you imagine how he’ll be in rivals? Teleporting and swords. He’ll be Magik. Lastly, you know they’re not the X-men in this uni. They just happen to be mutant resistance. I doubt they’ll let the name get used before Peach does something more with it which I think happened in the last two issues. The guys that got annihilated will probably simply a resistance force that Logan was a part of but what we may get in X-Men is Logan being recovered, getting his memories back, then leading the kids and getting his own stories in the solo issues. I was really hoping that Kurt would create a sword of light.

Iirc the “doesn’t have a parachute” reference is a callback to the Ultimates when we were first introduced to Cap, which the MCU then adapted.
